Magnavox
Did the Boredoms do the soundtrack for Ichi the Killer?

It was done by the Boredoms side-project 'Karera Musication.' I think it's just Boredoms without Yamatsuka Eye but I'm not too sure about that.

Good stuff.

There was some fun music in Please Teach Me English. I tried looking to see what artists were on it on Yesasia but it was all in Korean so out of luck.

They don't tell you who does the songs, they just list the titles. And it looks like a fair amount of it is sound clips from the movie. They have "Victoria", "Come on English, I'm Not Normal", "Time Over" etc.

I want the swing music they were dancing to in the bar before Candy rocked the bucket.

Old Boy had Vivaldi? I didn't even notice. I would've probably noticed if it was Summer.

Hyde's new movie (I don't know the name) will be using his Roentgen hit The Cape of Storms as the main theme, apparently. The movie will also promote The Other Side, Sweet Vanilla and Shining Over You.

Herzog's films wouldn't be the same without Popol Vuh.

Really! The music blends seamlessly with the rest of the movie.

I'm reminded that I need to pick up the soundtrack for In the Mood for Love.

What's the name of the song that plays at the end of Visitor Q? Anyone know?

I can't believe no one has mentioned Amelie yet. The music was an integral part of the movie, one of the many layers that pulled it together into the most beautiful movie I've ever seen. The visuals (especially the deliberate use of colors) plus the music set the mood for the whole film.

I had the pleasure of being Best Lady to a friend of mine who recently got married. He's a film critic and his new wife is a film junkie, so guess what played while she was walking down the aisle? From the Amelie soundtrack, I believe it plays when Amelie is letting her goldfish go in the stream.

I had the pleasure of being Best Lady in my friend Chris' wedding recently, and he's a film critic by profession and movie junkie by divine intervention. When his bride wa walking down the aisle, they played the bit from Amelie when she's letting her goldfish go in the stream. It was beautiful.

Last Quarter with Kuriyama Chiaki. i really want to see it. she's probably really happy she got to be in a movie with Hyde because she's a L'Arc fan. biggrin

i forgot! gonk

anyway, you know what's awesome? i just got the violin solo sheet music for Vivaldi's Winter. i'm gonna play it when i get home. blaugh

it was one of the best things about Old Boy, because they played it during some cool scenes. i think they played it when he was fighting all those guys in that hall.
