Tracey watched Annabelle, deeply worried about her and at the same time happy to see her once more, before looking back to the Captain. Having received the directions he said, "I'll be back quickly, Sir." The order was to stay at a slight distance, but how can he not give her a hug after so long? Darn, following orders was harder when it was personal. Seeing a woman he had never seen before, then hearing she was to follow him, he slowed just a bit as he left the room.

The stairs, he knew where they were, not that its hard seeing as the ship was big but not too, too big. Climbing up the stairs two at a time, he made his way up and searched for the room with the water. Locating the room, he was in such a rush to get what he could to comfort Annabelle that he wasn't very considerate with his speed seeing as someone was supposed to be following him.

"I believe that that man has that portion of this under control, Captain," she said in a dead calm, looking him straight in the eyes. "However, unlike me, it is possible that he may catching whatever it is Miss Lee has," she added, her voice almost chilly.

Looking to the sick one, Victoria awaited Tracey's return, eyes hardening at the sight before her. Approaching the seemingly younger female (but still staying a bit of a distance), the white haired woman studied her, eyebrows knitted in thought. What in God's name did the girl have? Was it a curse like hers, brought on by the devil? Starting to pace, the woman put her hands behind her, eyes shutting as she thought hard, going through the plausible things that could be ailing her. It was quite difficult, actually. Nothing seemed to make sense.

Was she really cursed?

What kind of a curse makes you cough up blood and sweat like a navyman facing the charges of a pirate? Frowning, she looked to the door where Tracy was supposed to be returning from, her gaze then moving to Callahan.

"Captain...is there brandy on this ship? I think that may help to ease some of her pain," the lass said, vaguely remembering someone telling her that brandy was a mild cure all. Victoria didn't think that was the entire truth, but there had to have been a little to it, if so many believed in it.

Aiden watched as Tracey left and was glad that he accepted the order so willingly. For quite some time, Aiden had kept his crew small and often had few orders for them. With his hopes of seeking out larger treasures than his past explorations, he hoped to get himself a larger ship and with that would come much more work for both the crew and himself. Sighing lightly, the man was finally able to lift himself from beside the crying Annabelle. Though he would remain beside her, he would need to move things about the room in order to make her more comfortable. If she chose to stay, he wished to change the storage room into a typical pirate's cabin.

Hearing Victoria's voice retaliating against his order, the man felt his ears grow stiff and form become somewhat rigid. Now what not a time to second guess a direct order from the captain! Looking in Victoria's direction, Aiden nearly let out a growl, wearing an expression no crew member had seen him wear yet. "You do not speak back against an order, deckhand." In a usual situation, the man would not have become so angered, but when someone was in dire need of assistance, it was key that everyone do as told and move quickly. What was worse was that Victoria remained within the room, not keeping as much as distance as McCallahan would have liked. Simply being in the room with Annabelle was soon to be forbidden. And to make matters even worse, the woman seemed to begin pacing back and forth obnoxiously.

Narrowing his eyes on the beautiful, pale haired woman, Aiden cleared his throat. Before he was able to become angered any further, the woman spoke out, proving that her pause had been in an attempt to aid Annabelle, and not out of disrespect. Relaxing slightly and breathing out, the man nodded and spoke out, voice gruff, "I appreciate your thoughts on the situation Victoria, but do not allow this to happen again. When an order is issued you are expected to follow it." Pointing in the same direction as Tracey, the man continued, "Your intelligence in appreciated. The liquir is kept in a small cabin near the room Tracey made his way into. The room is kept locked with a key and though I will allow you to enter under these circumstances, I expect the key returned promptly and nothing stolen."

Tracey found the room; he didn't wait on the female, just started getting things together. The cloths were not hard to find, and the barrels stood out easily enough. His only hold back was because he wasn't sure how clean the rags were. Clean water would be his life line for as long as they were away from shore, he refused rum and alcoholic drinks of all kind.

The thought of Annabelle made him to move again. Taking three pieces of cloth, he plunged them all in the smallest barrel. Pulling up each piece of cloth with a gentleness that was part of his nature, he systematically started to prepare them. Each rag had the excess water wrung out, leaving the rag damp and ready for use. The last task was to get a cup, clean it thoroughly and filling it with the cool water that he hoped would cool the pain Annabelle was in.

Once he was done, he held them together and cleaned up any signs of him being there, besides the missing rags. Dashing once more down the stairs, he had mildly wondered where the woman was until he saw her in there with the Captain. Speaking directly to him, Tracey puts his strong respect for the Captain into his tone, "Sir, I have the rags and drink. Annabelle is much like my little sister; I have taken care of her in the past. I am unafraid of being near her; may I have your permission to do so once again?" He had the order not to get too close, but he was going to try to get around that as much as he could.

Victoria figured as much that he would be angered by what she was doing. Hell, if she had been a captain, she would have been pissed off by her behavior thought. Still, she looked him in the eyes again, sighing grieviously.

"I apologize for my disobedience, but in all honesty, you needent worry about my health, Captain," she said, turning fully towards him, posture a bit slack. Sighing again, she turned towards Tracey, then to Annabelle, and then to Aiden once more. "What am I about to say, I wish to not have repeated in the presence of others, as it is something I would much prefer to keep a secret."

With the utmost sincerity, she looked at Aiden's nose, not wanting to look at his eyes when she told him what she was going to. A deep inhalation, and finally, the pirate spoke, "I will not get sick from Miss Lee's disease...for you cannot bear an illness on the cursed." Zaldeer's voice was grave, deadly serious, and in her eyes, there was no hint of a lie.

"If you want proof, I will take off my boot, but I'd rather not have to make the girl worse by seeing something like that," she added hastily, cheeks turning a deep shade of crimson. It was one of the things she never wanted to do. Take off that left boot in front of other people. Biting her lip, she looked to each crew member, and then to her Captain, looking upset again.

"However, I believe that I'd like to get that brandy before she gets worse..."

((sorry I vanished Im back now though))

Tia stood in shock wondering what was going on. Deciding that her orders were only to get to the ship she did not explore it further. She found a place to sit that was out of the sun to wait till she saw the captain. Tia had her arms behind her head for a pillow as she thought about what had happened just a moment before.
"Should I go look for him, or stay here? Id hate to think I could be useful and Im just sitting here. Oy I cant wait till I finally know my duties on this ship, thinking is over rated."

He climbed onboard, and looked around everything was in good condition, the wind wasn't too bad, the sea looked calm (Which wouldn't really matter because their docked) he thought he'd climb to the crows nest and look about, and thats what he did, he climbed the rigging, making sure the rigging was in good condition and didn't need repair, when he couldnt find any inparticular he carried on his climb to reach the top.

When he reached his goal, the crows nest, he climbed in, and sat down. What a beautiful sight, I've missed this dearly he lazed around for a while, before an idea came to his head, he smirked and tied a piece of rope to his waist, and walked to the side of the pole supporting the rigging, he used all the speed he had to run across and as he got to the other edge he dived off, and first there was the thrilling sensation where you feel as if your stomach is falling out, but then the rope slackend, and he swung the other way, only having to lift his legs slightly to avoid hitting the floor, he landed unharmed.

Captain McCallahan was impressed by Tracey's quick behavior, though was still too worried about Annabelle to express this to the man. Taking the clothes and cup from the deckhand, the captain waved his hand to indicate that Tracey was expected to step farther back. "I understand you do not fear Annabelle, but upon my ship, she will remain to herself. I will care for her myself... that is, unless she chooses against my only possible way of bringing her with us." Glancing back, the man seemed to question the still-sobbing woman. Constantly he doubted his action of taking her upon his ship, it was possible that she could have contaminated more than he knew already. "This sickness," The captain continued, "Will remain below decks. If you remain in her company, you may infect the entire crew and I wish not for an epidemic to kill us all. My decision has been made."

McCallahan felt a pang of guilt as he sent off Annabelle's only family that he knew of. It would probably have been better to keep the two together, but that would have required both of them below decks and with the size of the cabin, it would be better suited for the single woman, herself. Looking back to Tracey, he continued, his tone much less stern, "Your obedience will certainly be rewarded Tracey and please understand my order. Return to the upper deck and please instruct all above to begin scrubbing the decks and adjusting the riggings. We need to prepare to set sail again and I wish to clean the possible mess that I could have created."

Turning back to Victoria, the man listened carefully to what she was beginning to say. As she spoke, the man's expression remained unchanged, though it was clear that he was in deep thought. Occassionally his wings would twitch as though his nerves were slowly being shot. Once the woman finished, Aiden could not help but let out a short chuckle, "My goodness.. I certainly have an eye for a crew. Let the Aurarius become the most interesting ship in history!" Whether he believed Victoria or not was not certain, but whatever the case was, the captain was not bothered by the woman's little secret. In fact, he felt it would aid them in the long run, if the crew did not become too frightened at the idea. Like Victoria said, however, Aiden McCallahan would also prefer it a secret. Returning his thoughts to Victoria and grinning as the beautiful woman bit upon her lip, the captain nodded and sent her off, "Ai, the brandy. Return quickly and once these matters are settled we shall discuss your situation further." And as though he wanted to enforce his rule further, the man quickly added, "And remain in the doorway. I want to limit the contact with Annabelle.."

Well, at least he hadn't laughed at her; that was a good sign, surely. Though she did think the twitching of his wings was rather adorable when he thought like that. It made him seem so much less...angry, as he had been when she had outright gone and refuted his order. She smiled, grinning a bit as well. "Yes, it does seem that you have an eye for the oddest ones, Captain," she said, trying to sound cheerful. Frankly, she had never wanted this secret to come out in the open, much less under this sort of circumstance.

"Aye, the brandy," she echoed, tipping her hat with a dip of her head, and off she went. Finding the room where the liquor was held, she used the key and opened it, taking out a brown bottle filled with the alcoholic beverage, booting the door shut with her butt, locking it swiftly, returning back to Aiden and Annabelle with the utmost quickness she could manage.

She questioned herself as she went slowly down the stairs, so as to not rattle herself and drop the brandy and make her situation worse. Why in the world was he grinning at me, she thought to herself, this matter a puzzle to her. Sure, the men at the bar tended to be flirtatious with her, but that was when she wanted to wile a way to a free drink. He had had no specific reason (or so she thought) to be smiling at her, so why was he? Shaking her head clear of those thoughts, Victoria dropped the key from her mouth (she had put it there so she could hold the brandy with both hands), and down between her breasts, growling in frustration as she looked at the forlorn object.

"Blasted thing!" she hissed at the cool metal, frowning as she came to the doorway, looking a bit aggitated. Moving in, she gingerly sat next to Annabelle, grimacing as she looked at Aiden again, a light pink flush on her face.

"Did ye mean stay in the doorway now, or afterwords, Captain..."

|.| Sorry it took so long to reply. sweatdrop I've been rather busy, but I promise to keep up from now on. |.|

Annabelle overheard the conversation, and felt guilt shoot her through the heart. Sniffing and wipping away her tears, she raised her head and slowly lowered her knees. "I'm sorry, Captain McCallahan." Miss Lee admitted, sniffing a bit more as she fought back tears. She looked to Tracey, and knew not what to say. She hadn't seen him in three or four years, and now... Here... Of all places!? "Tracey.." She whispered, looking fondly upon him. Annabelle knew that she had to wait to talk to her brother. "Listen to McCallahan, he is right. He is the only one who can care for me without becoming infected by me." And using that as a starting statement of acception, she turned to the handsome Dragon-Kin. "I accept my fate. I will stay below decks and allow you to keep me company."

She thought for a moment, and remembered the strange dreams she'd been having... Strange dreams about finding one hundred ingridients in order to make the cure. This woman, this Tome Keeper, was supposedly going to make the cure for her. But was it a dream? It felt so real... Annabelle decided to speak up. "I know dreams do not mean much to you, but-" She stopped I don't think I should tell him I'm wiccan. Perhaps later. "-they... They mean something to me. In any case, I've been having strange dreams about this woman, this Tome Keeper. The Tome Keeper told me she can cure me if I bring her all of the needed one hundred ingridients for the cure potion. In my dream... I consented, and have been questing ever since. And I've been having the same dream every night. Each night, I bring to her one of the needed one hundred items.

"I thought... perhaps this isn't a dream? I mean, it certainly feels real. In my dream I feel pain and most normal feelings. Because of my faith"-wiccan-"I've been able to let myself hope and believe that this-this 'dream' might actually be happening in a subreality." Sighing, Annabelle's eyes lowered in humiliation. "Think me a fool if you wish, but I believe. I really do." With that, she smiled faintly and raised her chin. "If you only had moments of life, wouldn't you believe too?"

Tia spotted Avelop when he had climbed on board. She watched his little display while placing her hands on her and her head.
"May whatever will I have steady my trigger finger. How the bloody hell did he manage to land a spot on this ship? Well if Im lucky the Captain will be irritated by him and Avelop be forced to walk the plank and niether Tracey nor I will be forced to do something we might regret." Tia stayed in the place hidden by the shadows. It somewhat reminded her of her old days upon Blackheart's ship hidding in the shadows in hopes for a moments peace. Though this ship was different she didnt feel threatened or panicked. It wasnt so dark and deadly feeling and she could smell the sea versus the unfriendly smells one would meet upon her old ship. The planks of the decks were not stained with soot and blood and rats werent scampering arcoss the deck.It was a new hope for her, a new life, a new chance at being whom she wished to be. All that was left now was to prove herself to the captain and everyone else on the ship that she had what it really takes to be a feared first mate. It was her dream and no matter how many doubts she had she was going to follow her dream.

Tracey didn't know if the Captain knew it or not, but he was giving him the hardest orders Tracey had ever had to fulfill. "Yes, Sir." His response was quick, that wasn’t something that required thought to answer. He had stepped back when indicated. He listened to his orders, but he did hold back, he just wanted to ask something, not to be disobedient.

After the years since he saw her, he just wanted to talk with his little sister, to catch up. The whole time, he did keep backing up. Since the Captain was talking to a strange woman he didn't know, he tried not to listen to their conversation. After all, they were already talking before he came back in so who knew what he missed. In order to not to get confused, he felt it best to tune out.

Hearing Annabelle, he smiled to her, "I always do, Annabelle. I am happy to have been able to see you once more." He then left; it was too hard to see her, to know she was there, but not to be able to have any contact with her. He gave up on the idea of ask the captain if he could talk to her from the door way, as the woman was doing. Already, he was being too slow with caring out the order.

He just..just wanted to be able to say something to her, to see her reaction to him being there. Rushing up to the top deck, he made every effort to make up for his delay. He only stopped to gather cleaning items from the storage room above. He grabbed two mops and buckets plus the other items necessary to clean the deck.

On deck, he only saw Tia and Anvelop. 'Great' he thought to himself before speaking to the both of them, "Captain's Orders, we need to swab the deck and start to make ready to sail." At least, he could pass on the task of cleaning the decks to Anvelop, and work on the rigging himself.

Granted, he didn't want to give Tia cleaning duty, but it wasn't his place to delegate jobs as it was, but he was a leader and thats what he was intending to do. With that being the only other task besides the rigging, it couldn't be helped. The other thing that made it easier was that she was a pirate that was part of the job.

Giving one bucket and mop to Anvelop, well placing it beside him. He took the other and placed near Tia before going about the rigging knots. This was his expertise and he was going to make sure he did better then his best so that he didn't feel he had to worry about being left on the shore.

Aiden McCallahan only chuckled a bit more, thinking about the situation. Though it was not humorous in the least, the man could not think of anything else there was for him to do at the moment. With Victoria's announcement and the clear relationship between Tracey and Annabelle, the captain was certain drama was bound to boom on his ship. Still thinking, the man took a seat on a nearby box beside Annabelle. He was so deep in thought at the moment, he did not notice Victoria leave, let alone return. It was only until he heard a few frustrated statements that he looked up with a blank expression on his face. "Oh?" He asked, having to think twice about her question.

Coming to attention once again, the man quickly lifted his hand to motion for the woman to pause where she was, in the doorway. "I meant to remain in the doorway now and once this situation is better figured out, you will no longer be welcome in the lower quarters." Standing and approaching Victoria, the man took the alcohol and returned to Annabelle's side. "And just how does a nice bottle of Brandy cure disease, Hargreaves?" The man asked respectfully, curious as to what the true reason was.

Having been holding a conversation with both Victoria and Tracey as Annabelle cried, the captain was somewhat surprised to see that she had managed to pull herself together somewhat. Looking towards her, the man listened carefully and his usual grin disappeared. What replaced his expression, however, was not anger in the least. Worry plagued the man and though he knew little of the fire haired maiden, he already grew fond of what he did know of her. "..I apologise Annabelle, but if you wish to stay upon my ship, you will need to stay where you are and the only crew member to care for you with be myself. I can not risk having the others become infected.. whether or not you believe it possible.

Through his worry was an obvious guilt of what he had been doing. When he first heard of the reasons Annabelle wished to sail and become a pirate, he instantly wished to accept her. Like himself, the woman wished to explore and protect her crew with the best of her ability. Now that he had found out of her sickness, the man was no longer to show the woman all he wished to. Now, like a prisoner, she was required to stay below decks. Staring into the two sad eyes he watched as he listened to her before, McCallahan sighed softly.

With her last words, the large dragon-kin man felt a chill suddenly go down his spine. The faint life that Annabelle seemed to live seemed enough to keep her going and hearing this was empowering it in itself. With doubt in his mind, but confidence in his expression, the man nodded, "I would not doubt a dream such as the one you described.. If ever there is anything I may do to aid your quest lass, I will do it."

Hearing the familiar voice of Tracey Tans coming from the doorway as well, the captain returned his gaze to him. The expression the man wore was something he truly could have gone without seeing in his moment of great guilt. As a captain, McCallahan was expected to be both strong and wise in his decisions for the crew and though this would be painful in the moments time, the days would lighten as they passed and eventually the dragon-kin's crew would have all they had ever dreamed of.

Seeing Tracey go off surely, but reluctantly, the captain felt a great pride in his crew member. Sadly, the man understood the difficultly of leaving loved ones behind.

"Alright then." Tia spoke before comming out of her shadows. She wondered why the ship needed scrubbing it was the cleanest ship she laided eyes own. Tia removed her gloves and boots then rolled up her tights. She had been thought a different way to mop by some past maids she had met in a pub. ~ Mops only give you dirty water and take to long to boot~ they had told her. Tia found herself a nice rag and and dropped it in the water before taking her hair and moving it under her badana.
"Do me a favor ,Avelop stay out of my way. This ship is big enough I shouldnt have to see you all the time." With that she grabbed the wet rag and walked to a coner of the deck. Turning she then bent into a position as though she was starting a race. She placed her weight on the rag evenly before running fowards still bent over. It cleaned nicly while going quicker then mopping and it built stamina to boot. Tia didnt mind cleaning whatelse was a fighter to do when there is no battle to be fought?
She continued this till the deck she was on was clean. She left about half the upper decks work to Avelop though it was only fair.
"Tracey!!" Tia called out.
"Does the captain want the lower decks done? Or shall I find the cannons and check that they are ready and locked down for sail? Or take rations inventory?" Tia didnt like asking she after all wanted to become first mate, but for now she must only worry about gaining the trust of the captain. Which meant carring out orders and seeing as Tracey had talked to him that was close enough. Tia worried abit would her feelings for Tracey ruien her chances of following her dream? What if the captain choose Tracey as the first mate, or Tia and Tracey were pit agaisnt eachother for it. She would never be able to do anything agaisnt Tracey. This was truly to much to take in over only a few days.

Tracey kept at his work, fixing things to be ready to move at any moment. Hearing Tia call for him, he gave her his full attention instantly. Thinking about the captain's orders, as much as it gave him a bad taste when he thought about being unable to see or talk to Annabelle, he responded, "He just said this deck. Double checking the cannon sounds wise." Heading up to the helm he double checked the wheel to make sure it was in excellent operating condition, tiring to think of what might need to be done on deck. Right now, his dream was boatswain mate, possibly Captain in a later time, he would not try to take something from Tia, and if he could affect it, what ever came to him that she wanted, she would get.
