No i-pod here, but i have a Built-in Mp-3 player on my phone, only a 2gig but i have about 408 songs on it. I don't do too many long trips so i never get to listen to every song on there. I kinda just pick n' choose, haha. I'd say i have gone through about 1/8 of my songs on shuffle before.

balison evilbrainbabies Why do you say the iPod sucks? Good quality decent price for memory pictures video good programming if you have a mac. lot's of memory can install different programing and OS systems.(I have Linux on mine) rechargable Good battery life so what the downsides? Woah. Decnet price? I dont think so. I can get antoher mp3 player for half the price which has more memory. Good battery life? Sure it has a nice battery life and then as BassFu said, you have the fun of throwing it in the bin after a few months. Woah? You can install it on different os? WOAH OMGZ SO CAN EVERY OTHER MP3 PLAYER Rechargable? So are 90% of every other mp3 player out there Good programming is you have a mac? So your saying, if i want to use this mp3 player on the computer to its uflle extent i have to go spend £1000 ona mac? No thanks. Good quality? Which iPod are on you about? if your on about the nano.. Oops my screen just cracked becuase i touched it.. If your on about th em all.. ono my battery just died, my iPOd has been scratched to bits. O hnag on i can go buy an ugly iskin to solve that problem! But why should i have to? Pictures? So what? Loads of other mp3 players can show pictures and i fi wanna look at pictures, ill put them on my phone or on a camera. Video? So do loads of other mp3 players which are a quater of the price? If you really wanted to watch decent videos you would buy a portable media centre not an ipod. Lets see. what else does the ipod have? radio? Nope! You gota go buy a accessory.. iPods are over priced. They break easily. The batteries die. You have to spend loads on accessories if you want stuff most other mp3 players have. careful there you don't want to go into hysterics...

I'd have to have a lot of time on my hands to listen to every song.

My Zune (because I agree iPods suck hardcore. The only decent ones are the old ones, which were bulky and low on memory. So why were they the decent ones? They didn't break after six months. Anyway, I digress...) has 6 gigs of music on it, so...I've only gotten through it once. It was a very loooong car ride =.=

I have a first generation 4GB I-Pod and it's about 4 years old, so it doesn't work too well, but no I have never gone all the way through my I-pod. I have gotten close a few times but something always happens where it will reset to the beginning. Also, the older I-pods have a setting where if you skip a song while it's on shuffle it will reset the whole playlist so it plays songs over and over again...lame. It is hard to go through 4,000 songs though.

i dont think i would want to listen all of my music... sometimes i'm in the mood for one thing and sometimes in the mood for something different. i have an ipod nano 2GB but i really regret buying it. still, some of the ipods arent all that bad.

yeahhhh, back when I had the two gig shuffle.
I now have an 80 gig classic, with 783 songs, totalling 2 days, 4 hours, 41 minutes and 7 seconds. that's only 2.93 gigs. I've got alot of room...
No, I have not completed a full shuffle, yet. sweatdrop
lol. I had iTunes up.

Haha, NOPE. I've tried, too. It's way too difficult for me. I'm a picky person unless I'm really into doing something else, so I tend to shuffle up the iPod AGAIN after 2-3 songs. I'm real picky, haha. That and I have about six days worth of music. *shrug*

Well... with *technically* almost 3 weeks' worth of music on my iPod (7,397 songs), I've actually managed to get pretty darn close to a full shuffle. I think I got to 6,500 (when I had 6,950 or so songs).
But then I added new music, and added to the ipod.. so my accomplishment restarted. mad
As for claims of newer iPods breaking so easily...
I've had my 30G for nearly a year now. It's not scratched, has never failed on me, and works perfectly. I'm highly accident prone (I can honestly fall flat on my face when standing prefectly still and straight), and I've dropped it probably two dozen times, on surfaces ranging from a hardwood floor to actual concrete and asphalt...
Still works as though it's brand-new.
So maybe it's a personal problem?
