I have to admit, kid, you might just have what it takes," he winked, before pulling out a Volcano Badge and a TM. The Ekans accompanying her spotted something on the ground, hissing out an, "Ekanssssssssss," to tell Chloe. He pointed to the glinting object, as Chloe searched the sands.
"Ah, its a Moon Stone," Chloe realized, picking up the smooth-surfaced rock, "Strange. They usually aren't found this far south. By Mt. Moon I can understand, but here? Maybe it fell from the sky?" Ahi couldn't give an answer of course, so Chloe tucked the rock in her bag. It was sure to come in handy later on.

The next adventure came when Chloe set out to find the fossil institute. She did find it, eventually, but it was after a bit of a lost streak, and after asking several inhabitants of the island, and even Nurse Joy, when she found the Pokecenter of the island.
"Guess I haven't been here in a while, so I don't really remember the layout of this place," Chloe sighed, finally entering the institution.
After a bit of discussion with the lab techs there, and after waiting outside for a while (which she spent relaxing on the beach a bit until she gained a call from the institute), Chloe returned into the laboratory.
"We've managed to revive a Pokemon from your fossil," the lab tech proudly stated, handing over a Pokeball.
"Inside is Aerodactyl. I hope you take good care of it, it really is an amazing discovery!"
"I definitely will," Chloe grinned, "Aerodactyl are awesome."
