A friend introduced me to Gackt's music by sending me Mizerable and Missing and Birdcage ... instant fan. I didn't hear more for a short while, which sucked, but I did also see an interview or two of him on Utaban and loved his sense of humour and his personality in general.

I heard the music and was blown back by the noise. I absolutely loved it. Gackt was the second Japanese artist I listened to after Takehito Koyasu so it was a big step in a different direction.
Then I saw some pictures of him and just stood drooling at the computer screen for hours. Man, he is sooo hawt ^_^

Takehito is good, I like him. . . (and WeiB. ^o^) But he's indeed quite different from Gackt. xd Yeah! I'm a big Weiss fan now too. I started off with common stuff like Velvet Underworld and Beautiful Alone but now I'm into the less common records like White Flames and Love of my Life. Takehito was the main feature of Weiss for me though. Have you heard any Zazel? The Stella album is good if you want to hear any more of his work ^_^

It is very Castlevania-ish, and thus Mizer-ish. ^.^

A music video of it? I didn't know Weiss did any PVs ^^ I would love to see that, but unfortunately my lack of broadband speed might prevent it - I'm still stuck on a 56k cry

Ah right, dammit. I just love Shinichiro Miki - wondered if there were any decent Weiss PVs out there...
I'm shattered right now. I've just found that my copy of Windows Media Player is wrecking my mp3s sad Malice Mizer's Regret and Pierrot's Paranoia are unplayable for some reason...

Hmm. I had a concert clip of the Weiss boys. . . I don't know if it's still kicking around.
If you ever d/l any of the music videos, get Tokyo Sling. That one is awesome. 3nodding (especially if you like Aya/Ran).

OK, when I get broadband I'll try and get some ^_^ I love Tokyo Sling so I wouldn't hesitate to download that 3nodding
I'm a fan of Aya and Yohji most. Not only do they have the best seiyuu in my opinion, but the characters are also some of the coolest. I did kind of feel empty at the end of Gluhen though...
