I am both new to the guild and new to Gaia as well. As you can see by my clothes, I am not the wealthiest of Gaians, but that takes time. I love talking to people, so anyone who wants to is welcome to PM me.
I love all the great art everyone has. I wish I had that kind of taent! heart

Hi folk!
As I told our wonderful leader, I am not a native speaker of English. I began speaking Tamil and Hindi, and only learned English when I came to the USA with my parents. When I got here, it took a supreme effort of willpower to avoid slapping my teachers silly. The ins and outs of this language make me twitch.
However, I worked my a** off and learned it.
Then, after that, I learned Spanish when I hit high school, because I wanted to travel in South America.
Now that I'm back here in the 'states, I have become a Grammar Nazi to the very core of my being. If you wanna know more of me, the best bet is to toddle over to some of my posts.
I'm usually an ED whore. smile

O man, do I ever suck at introductions...
I'm imperius_unforgivable, but most of Gaia calls me Impy (or "teh Impy," whichever) since my screenname's a bit long. I also respond to Zeb, Cara, Melanie, and Stupid. I'm from the Harry Potter forum, though I sometimes sneak into picture post or the writer's forum.
I'm 18 years old and a first year college student at DigiPen Institute of Technology. I'm studying to become a game designer, and despite popular belief, it's a lot of work. We don't exactly sit around and play video games all day long, unfortunately.
My biggest pet peeves when it comes to the internet and English are people insisting that they can type however they want because it's their "style," (it's bad enough when they do that with ART) and Mary Sues. Mind you, pretty much everything about netspeak bugs me, which is one reason I'm in this guild!
And my sentence structure has abandoned me! Yay!

Okay, first thing, hi. I'm Cera and I'm new (obviously). If this ends up being a double post, try not to kill me. I got that dumb 'sushi database' error, and I don't think it worked. Anyway, I'm 13 and still pretty new to Gaia (almost a month).

Hello everyone, I'm Landreth, and i'm glad to be inducted into this guild. The Chatterbox forum is filling up with more and more trash every day, and it's time someone did something about it. In addition, the n00bs have moved to the Extended discussion forum, which I find to be a hint at what is to come.
the bad spelling, grammar, and punctuation must stop. we will be caught in a wave of stupidity that will spread through all the forums, and will pollute our community if we do nothing about it.

Hello! I'm LiaFairyle and, while English is definitely one screwed up language, I love it. Actually I love language in general...I'm actively learning Spanish and French, and I'm working on using some books to teach myself Italian and Japanese. (No, I'm not some crazy Japanophile; I'm just someone who lives in California where Japanese is actually a remotely useful language.)
But that's off topic.
Anyway, I hate when "n00bs" utterly disrespect English. It's not "mah," it's "my," and "people" only has one more letter than "peeps," so why do you insist on talking about Easter candy? Also, there are plenty of people out there who are struggling to learn English. It's almost disrespectful to them to completely maim, torture, and abuse the English language. And while I'm quite guilty of the occasional "OMG" or "LOL," unless I'm keeping up about seven active conversations on AIM, I make sure to capitalize my abbreviations. Yes indeed.
And anyone who repeatedly types "inuyahsa" must die.
(note: Yes, I have bad English in my signature. It's a quote from Fullmetal Alchemist, where one of Ed's father's alchemy books clearly has a recipe for an omelet in the margins. I have copied this "recipe" as accurately as the horrendous handwriting allowed me to.)

Hello, I'm new (obviously). I claim to be Gaia's Unofficial Spell-Checker, because typos and misspellings are fun to... well... make fun of. 3nodding
I'm 23 years old and I'm currently going to school for computer graphics and animation. I also make sandwiches at Quizno's, and will shoot anyone on sight who asks why they use "rats" in their commercials. They are spongmonkeys, they aren't real, and the restaurants are not infested with rodents of any type. I didn't pick the advertisement, it was some goofy middle-aged exec trying to be "hip."
That's about it for now. Nice to meet you all. 3nodding
