Rie'Kus looked at the Wookiee oddly. His attention, thus far, had been taken solely by the two humans and he hadn't noticed the others. If he didn't know better, it was a small, upright Bantha. But that couldn't be... Banthas didn't eat ants.... He looked at the creature carefully.
"Whoa you?" He asked suspiciously.

Charsiir looked at the boy blankly, thinking the boy wouldn't understand his language. He replied ' Im a wookiee''. He hoped for the best, he was prepared for a confused look.

The boy blinked carefully. The sound that emitted from the not-Bantha's mouth was a growl, yet carefully formed around certain sounds. Rie'Kus pouted. Jumping down off of the chair he was seated in, he made a running leap at a near by bug, and soon had a yellow one captured in his fist.
"Want it?" He asked. The not-Bantha seemed to like ants, and that made him neat. Besides, having all that fur would be fun!

All he could do was nod, he accepted the boy and smiled at the boy. He thought atleast he had made a friend, well atleast he thought he did. He got a bag out his backpack, and opened it, it contained a big blue bug, skewered on a stick, he handed this to the boy. In his bag he also found a piece of paper, on which he wrote 'Im a wookie, my name is Charsiir.' he handed this to the boy aswell.

Rie'Kus pounced on the strange blue bug with vigor. It seemed dead, which was a slight disappointment, but not so great a disappointment that he was deterred. Without hesitation he stuffed it into his mouth. "Fank you!" he said between squishy bites. It was very good, actually. Much better than the usual bugs found on this plannet.
However, when the not-Bantha gave him a piece of paper, all he could do was stare at it. He turned it one way, and then the other, desperately hoping that it was actually a picture. But it was not. "I can't rwead," he told the not-Bantha. He shrugged. Not that it mattered much. To him, food was the best form of communication.

Charsiir sighed, he couldn't speak to the boy. He could still smile though, which he did. He got out another bug, which he ate himself. Inside the bag he found a small strange red bug, to his horror the bug was still alive, he quickly handed it to the boy. He only tried new bugs if they were dead, alive samples scared him.

After Jin set his bag back safely on the ground, Edan stood and brushed off his knees. Straightening, he watched as the Wookiee approached them. Or rather, Rie'Kus, and the two found common grounds in their apparent love for bugs with a side of fries. Though, his interest peaked when the large creature wrote something or other on the paper, and the boy openly stated his lack of reading abilities.
"Um, I can read," he ventured carefully. He would be lying to say he wasn't wary when it came to the Wookiee -he had his brother to blame for all the horror stories he'd heard over the years-, but it wouldn't do him much good to cower in fear of the guy, either. "If you want, Rie'Kus, I can tell you what he said to you." He walked over to the two, kneeling down beside the boy.
Even if the kid didn't want to know what the other was saying, it didn't mean he wanted to remain in the dark. Call him prying, but it wasn't very often he got the chance to speak with a Wookiee.

Charsiir looked at the red haired boy, he handed him the paper and nodded. ' That would be very nice' he ventured, smiling at the boy. It was only after he stopped smiling that he realized the boy most likely would not understand him. He thought 'Oh well.' and watched as the boy read the message to the smaller boy.

Rie'Kus looked up at the human boy with big eyes. "You can? Pwlease?" He told himself not to sound desperate... he tried not to sound desperate, but the tiny words that came out of his mouth didn't listen.
He scooted closer to the knealing boy and stuck out his hand containing the uninteligable words. "Hwere."

Although he could not understand the Wookiee when he spoke, his smile was enough for Edan to guess his meaning. Taking the paper with a smile of his own, he nodded to the boy. "Sure thing." His eyes turned down to the Basic words and after a second, he read, " 'I'm a Wookiee, my name is Charsiir.' "
With his task finished, he looked up at the Wookiee. "So you're Charsiir? Hi, I'm Edan." He held his hand out to him, though not fully sure Wookiees shook hands. Still, it was the only polite gesture he knew when meeting someone for the first time, unless you count bowing to those of higher class or rank, but somehow he didn't think that fit very well in this situation.

He scribbled down, 'Nice to meet you.' , he offered Edan a 'spice stick', A spicy sweet that he himself was fond of. Thinking, he also wrote 'Do you eat crawlers?' He thought the boy would sayyes, as so far everyone had. He bent down, and clawed a small bug.

He took the item he suspected to be food, and examined it somewhat. "What's in i-" Pausing, he read the latest question and fell himself grow slightly sick again. "No, I don't eat bugs... or crawlers, as you call them. We don't eat them on Dantooine, so I never got a taste for them." He suddenly found himself relieved he hadn't taken a bite out of the food, whatever it was. Especially if it had bugs in it. Even if it means insulting his new acquaintance, he still couldn't stomach the idea of devouring them. They were just... gross.

He wrote quickly 'Sadly, Spice Sticks don't contain Crawlers.', he withdrew his claw and ate the bug, but kept the spice stick out stretched. 'Take it, It's nice, but I don't have crawlers' He smiled innocently at the boy. He looked over at the smaller boy who couldn't read, he had no way of communicating with him, without help. That made him upset and angry with himself.

He beamed, taking the Spice Stick from Charsiir. "If it doesn't have any crawlers in it, I can eat it then. Thanks." He bit into it, and chewed it thoughtfully for a moment. The flavor set in, and he swallowed before grinning at the Wookiee. "It tastes great, thanks, Charsiir."
He sat back on his heels, taking note of Jin as the droid seemed content to hover beside him. With the utmost joy -along with that of his rumbling stomach-, he continued to munch on the Spice Stick, mentally praising the names of gods he'd heard in his travels for the simple fact that he finally had some food he could actually eat. Although he still wondered where the masters where and about how long the four hopefuls would be there, with his tummy silenced he returned to his previous feeling of simply not caring. It was a feeling he rather enjoyed, and appreciated when dealing with new faces and places. Made life just a bit easier in his eyes, that much was for sure.
