Actually, Kai means 'ocean.' So you have Sky (Sora), land (Riku), and ocean (Kairi). As well, with the knights, you have Sky (Ven), Ocean (Aqua), and land (Terra). Terra, and I foudn out, is the third big guy witht he golden eyes.
Nomura said that they have connecions with our current main cast, at least Ven does with Sora and Roxas, but not sure about the others.

They must have!! YAY! Terra, huh? That connects him with Riku. eek And his eyes go golden, just like Riku's do when he turns into Anse--Xehanort's Heartless. *rubs hands with glee*

The only real connection I see between he three are the meaning of their names, and maybe Ven's appearance. And the keyblades. Not really much else.
You know you fight Terra at the end of FM+.

Well, that would amke sense, especially if he's connected to Riku and Xehanort (whom you fight forms of in all of the Kingdom Hearts games thus far). *wishes she could get Final Mix*

They still haven't stated a specific connection, but from what I heard, Terra wasn't exactly in his right mind when you fight him.
Poor guy.
But he does mistake you for Ven at first.

biggrin Just as a fight? Or does he really say that he hates Ven? It might just be play-fight like what Riku and Sora do. (Like, they're still using hits that could kill the other, just because they know everything will work out in the end.)

No he doesn't fight you because he thinks you're Ven. If I remember right, he thinks you're Ven, then realizes you're not and gets ticked.

Oh, the room you see Xemnas walkign into in one of the scenes? No, that 's not even a person. It's just a pile of armor. Xemnas' armor if my theory and Xigbar's eavesdropping proves correct.
The room is called "The Room of Sleep."

No, I've seen the armor. It's not female-fitted armor. Also, it's a different color than what the others wore.

I might be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure it looked different from hers.
Plus, why would Xemnas have her armor?
But I always had a hunch that Xemmilar armor. Much more elaborate, but similar none-the-less.
