Bryoni It's so hard to choose.... Willow and/or Angelus, maybe? I have to think about it. My feelings exactly, Angelus is so ruthless and would kill anybody, but then so would evil willow. If it hadn't been for Willow's unstable mind about the death of Tara, but she was still evil, I think Willow could have destroyed the Earth.

Okay, maybe in character he is the strongest to me, but in strength Illyria. She was once a god right? Or a pure blooded demon or something. Even when half her strength was taken away she still kicked butt!

Willow of course. U all saw her power at the end of season six. Buffy and Spiike tie for second. All of them are hard core fighters and can take a lot of damage and still keep on fighting. biggrin

onlydraven Willow. Spike is in 2nd place. I agree there Willow was very strong in magiks but not in a physical way, Spike was always the most strongest physicaly so it depends on how you look on things

Willow was strong in magics, that is true but she didn't need the physicality if she had her wiccan powers.
I think that each of them was strong in their own way, I mean, if you put them all in the same room together and it was a fight to the death, I think Illyria would be the victor, but that's just my opinion.

I'm gonna go with Buffy. She defeated monsters twice her size with only weapons and her hands.
Willow can't do anything without magic. And she's not that strong without it so she possibly not the strongest. she can barely hit anyone with the magic she's so stupid.
Angel and spike tie for second place.

I think this question can be looked at in multiple ways. It can be seen as the fighting type with who would win in a fight, but can't it be seen from a philosophical standpoint?
I would say that Illyria was the strongest character in Angel for the very same reason that many would say she would not win in a fight: because she explodes. From a theoretical standpoint, can't this be taken to show her as the most powerful?
I mean, Illyria was not the power that she once was. She was brought back in a human body. All the other chracters I believe have humanlike enough bodies. The fact that such a body cannot even contain her true power makes you wonder just how powerful she originally was.

hmm well willow is def the most powerful but i have to say the strongest was Illyria bcuz well not even angel or spike could take her at first. 3rd place would be them though. and the slayers faith/buffy come in 4th.

I don't think you can say Buffy with out Faith because they both are as strong.
At the end though of both series ..... I think 'Good' Willow would be able to beat anyones butt. Becuase she has full control over her power.
Illyria was the strongest for a bit .... but by the end I don't think she was.

I think willow wins this one. i mean she had the power to turn potentials into real slayers. yeah sure she eventually runs out of energy but i think almost every character on that list has some drawbacks. let's see....glory is strong. she did get beaten up by buffy though, thanks to the troll hammer. illyria has great physical strength which could help her out. angel and spke....hmmm...i dunno. i guess when they are evil they could end up on top. but then again willow can fry them both. honestly i have no idea who would win. they are all pretty strong in their own way. although i dont think buffy would win. the reson she managed to stay on top so many times was because of her friends' help.
