Kyokiri i heard from somewhere that he's so short because Al's body is still "alive" and living off Ed's life force. i can't remember where i heard that, tho. i think it was a magazine...... that's very interesting.. and makes perfect sense since he started growing after he recreated Al.. I LIKE THAT ONE! xD

He was just born that way. i mean i basically only drink milk and i'm the same height as him and i'm 16. that's why my nickname is Edward. sigh oh well it means i'm harder to push over and i can kick people in the shins better. hee hee

This seems to have been brought up before but.... He was just born that way. But the reason why he was made short could be something to do with the Author. He (Or She, I haven't really checked) Could have been Teased of his (Her) shortness. Or a close friend could have been short and teased. Just a Hunch. I'm not saying that its true, just it MIGHT be.

He doesn't drink milk and maybe because he has a metallic leg and metal doesn't grow.

...I'm going to argue that it's not because he doesn't drink milk. Calcium comes from other sources. Not to mention I have a friend who doesn't drink milk and she's hella tall.
It seems to me that in the OVA with his grandchildren he grew quite a bit ^^

He doesn't drink his milk.. and I don'tthinnk his leg and arm have much to do with him not growing, but I like the comment about how his lifeforce keeps Al alive biggrin

I think that it's a combination of things. One is that it may be in his genes, because if about half of the members in your family are short, then there's a good chance you'll be short as well. Milk also comes into it, because if you odn't drink milk, you will be shorter then you could be by at least an inch or so. I also like the Al living off his life force one.
