Hell im heading north...Alaska or Canada...Colder up there. The zombies will freeze...Gotta have a route planned out though...And supplies...Hell Ill get a semi...Trick my truck style it up with re enforced windows, spiked cow catcher on the front, turret on the top...No im not makeing Dead Reckoning...Im makeing something that will blast there undead asses outta my way...Along with any wrecked cars that are in my way...

Thinkmaster I live up in New England, a little town south of Boston. Lots of suburbs. Lots of people. If someone starts up even something as small as a Class 1 around here, i could be in deep trouble...however, I also have a small house up in New Hampshire. Very hilly area. The locals usually have firearms of one kind or another, which are relatively easy to procure. My neighbor, for example, has almost four firearms, one of which is a sizable shotgun. He's also a former Marine, so he can handle himself. Numerous people up there have rifles, and wildlife is abundant. The soil is very fertile, so we can easily plant a large vegetable garden, and the people up there are strong and skilled in carpentry. A fence should be no problem. It's lakeside, so if we ever really need to retreat, we can take a boat out into the lake and stay there for a while. I know some former cops that scuba dive, so if we need to start up underwater warfare, i know who to call. It's got a lot of advantages, one of which is being relatively isolated. At most, only a class 1 could start there, which would get quickly put down by local cops and residents who have nothing better to do but practice at the firing range. I'm a friendly guy, and the house is cozy. If anyone on the Eastern Seaboard needs a hand with that, I'll be happy to extend a helping hand. I live nearby you, I think. I'm near Malden, right next to Boston. Honestly, the best plan is to just get as far away from New England as possible. It's tough though, since each state surrounding us is full of people. My team consists of 4 people right now, and we have a few plans. We already have most of the supplies on-hand right now, minus weaponry. If the outbreak gets bad, we're going WAAAAAY out west. The building is called CNS Wholesalers, and it's somewhere out in the sticks. The population in the town is about 1,000, spread out over a huge range. The building is surrounded by a gigantic parking lot, which is surrounded by a 10' tall fence with barbed wire on the top. There is a gas station on the lot, and there are backup generators, deep-freeze freezers, and tons and tons of nonperishables. It's a place to crash until about a level 2, low-3. From there, it's easy to move north. If we had a team name, it probably would be argued for about 5 hours between something relating to Harry Potter, something relating to Halo, or something relating to shooting and killing things. So, for now I'm going to call it Team Guerilla-Dumbledore-Covenant, unless someone comes up with a better name. If you are anywhere in MA, let me know. We'll find out some way to squeeze you into our plan. Our requirements are... 1. Must have extensive knowledge of all forms of zombies, From 28 Days Later to George A. Romero to Return of the Living Dead 14. 2. Must have your own travel bag and permanent supplies (utensils, pocket knife, a weapon, clothing, etc) 3. A skill. Me and the other girl on my team both have extensive knowledge on survival (searching for food, harvesting crops, cooking, etc), I know a bit of first aid, and one of the men in my group is a licensed rescue diver and has extensive knowledge on first aid. We're not looking for NASA scientists, just someone who might be able to come up with something on Junkyard Wars or win Survivor. We're looking for people over 16, for maturity reasons mostly. We need people who can handle killing their best friends and live with no sleep, no food, and non-stop running.

Teams are likely to do you no good if you're assembling them prior-to. Of course it's always good to have a rally point for a select group of friends who would likely survive, but making plans when you have no idea how everything will come about might just get you killed. Especially if they mean finding people you don't even know survived the first night.
My team will (in the event this ever happens) be made up of essentially rag-tag survivors to begin with. Unfortunately for them I will violate one of my biggest rules. "No military"
As in, avoid military installations. I live within walking distance of the one place that goes through more small arms ammunition than anywhere else in the world. Ft. Jackson, SC. By the time I get in, it will probably have been raided by the people who work there. Unfortunately, Jackson is huge and probably high on the infestation factor. Nobody lives there long term, they all live right where I am. This means that there will be a ton of traffic in and out in the initial outbreak. That doesn't stop me from wanting a chance at at least some of the arms located therein. There are gun shops and pawn shops filled with s**t all over the area, but none of the weapons you can find off post are really worth having.
If you live in my area and wish to risk your life for a very stupid goal to find and bear arms, we may set up a rally point. If Ft. Jackson is out of the question, I am stationed right next to it and have access to even bigger weapons should they be needed.

Am i the only one in the U.K?
We got 2 swords,3 daggers and a pistol aswell as a air rifle,so i think im pretty well prepared in case of a zombie infestation of the planet.

I'm a big fan of kill them all. Let's see, 5 rifles, 8 shotguns, 12 handguns, 13 daggers (not including kitchen knives but kitchen knives are good too). I got myself a small arsenal and I'm a good shot. And, as an added bonus, 3 pistols share the same ammo as 2 of my rifles (.357). So if you're in the SoCal area, hit me up. Camp Pendleton has miles of bare land (mountains, plains and whatnot).

Mr. Republican sven_the_warrior I hate to be a downer, but I think the whole idea of getting a group of people who've never even seen each other before and live, at best, a hundred miles away together in a crisis situation where transportation is iffy at best seems like a stupid idea. You don't want to travel long distances to get to someone you don't recognise and then through unfamiliar territory. Besides, you don't want to work with someone you don't know, even if they do know what they're doing, and I'm not convinced that everyone here does, even if they have read the guide. I'm not sure that anyone can really be totally prepared. It's just a bad idea. I was thinking along the same lines as this. I agree with you. Although, it would be worth exploring your options rather than not doing so at all.

sven_the_warrior Having anyone be zombie baite is ridiculous. If you are that desperate to get someone killed, murder them yourself. There is almost never a strategic advantage to live baite, and never to human baite. It just makes one more zombie. You have some excellent points here. Its not likly that someone will volenteer to be zombie bait either. And Sven has a very good point: one more zombie.
