"Tha'ss th' last o' em!" Casron looked rather proud as he stood on one of the unfourtunate soldiers, covered in blood. "Ey, want yeer knife back? 'Ello? Oh no!" He ran around the room, realising that the girl he was helping might be one of the slain. "Ello, miss..." His shout cut off as he realised he never even learned her name. Tears began to flow from his eyes. He finally found her, & blushed when he saw her state of undress. "Erm...." He could see her breathing, so his worst fears were cancelled. He shook her shoulder slightly, trying to wake her up.

Kahlan was on the verge of death. Her injuries were fatal and she had no way of healing herself. Or did she? As Kahlan was just about to go unconcious again, the rune in her hand began to glow. At first, it was just a dim glow, but it eventually engulfed the room in a blinding light. Suddenly, the wounds on her body started to fade away, almost like water washing away dirt. The cuts and bruises vanished and the large gash across her chest turned into nothing but a giant scar. A few minutes later, Kahlan awoke wondering why Casron was looking at her. She looked down and remembered why. She quickly covered herself and blushed.

I guess we made it...

"Whu-whut?" He blinked at the light, trying to clear his vision of the afterimage. "Yur, we made it....." He scratched his head, wondering just what had happened. She was dying, then..... Maybe it was the rune? Did one have to almost die for the thing to start working, or something? He jsut sat there, pondering the events that had passed.

Name: Rokuo Ashrin
Age: 15
Rune:Ice rune.
Nation biggrin 'Hara
Bio: Image hosted by TinyPic.com
History: Born into an imerpialist family and raised as a noble. Rokuo was the son of a leader of Da'Hara, but when war started bracking out again, his father and brother were called to battle. His father died in the battle and thus there was no leader of the city that he was in charge of. With out a leadre the city fell quikly and turned from a peaceful village to a large feild of ruins. Rokuo and most of the civillians were taken into custady by the Adyndril forces. Because she was afraid that her son might be killed his mother lied about him being her son and paid a kind Adyndril soilder to take him. The soilder was not so kind. His mother was executed for being the wife of an Imperialist and Rokuo was taken by the soilder. The soilder did not keep his word, he went to his leader and presented the yougn and fearful Rokuo to the man. Rokuo was taken amongst the rest of the prisnors and taken to a large prison. While he was inprisoned he heard many people talking about his father, it was not until several days til he relized his father was amongst the prisnors. His father was defeated and taken prisoner and was to be executed. To his luck his father his sopn was there. Rokuo was only to be made a slave. He gave his son the ice rune which had belonged to him. The next day his father was killed and it was time to plan his escape.

Several days had passed and he was taken to the slave house. He went to explain to the fellow slaves, whom had been warriors of his father, but they had already known and propossed to help. That night Rokuo snuck out of the filthy barracks and came across a group of guards. He was nearly captured, but he used his newly aquired rune to slay the soilders. He entered the next room expecting to see more guards, he did see guards but they were all dead, and lay amongst the bodies of several other slaves. Rokuo thanked the surving slaves and ran for it. He ran out of the reach of the guards and entered a small Adyndril town and rested there. Now the time to plan his revenge had atlast come.

Orsk lay dead on the ground, his hands still gripping his face. Kahlan was stunned. She couldn't believe she was alive.

I don't understand! How did I survive? I was as good as dead!

She looked at the slowly fading light from her rune. Somehow, the 'cursed' rune she had been carrying for so long, had actually done something useful! Still covering herself, Kahlan slowly stood up with the help of Casron's hand and traced her steps back into the inn, stepping over the body of the slain innkeeper in order to do so. Kahlan spotted a spare tunic hanging on the coat rack and eagerly snatched it, wrapping it around her bare back and chest. Suddenly, a wave of fear over took her. "Where is Konrad?"

((sorry for the post that didn't fit in :p i guess i was writting it when you were posting and posted after you did yours or something.. sad ))

Konrad came out from behind the counter with a smile on his face. "Wow that was sooooo cool! He ran over to Kahlan and grabbed her hand again. "You were amazing...I thought for a second you were in trouble...And then you did that thing...And all that stuff...And...WOW!!" He stares up at the girl with saucer eyes, and a big grin on his face.

((and if you didn't get it earlier, right now, Konrad will basically do anything (within reason) that Kahlan tells him to :p))

Kahlan let out a sigh of relief.

Thank goodness you're okay, Konrad! For a second there, I thought they had you!

She hugged the little boy tightly. Her muscles were sore from the previous battle and even though her wounds were healed, they were still a little bit painful. Kahlan looked at Casron.

Thank you, Casron...I don't think we would have made it if it weren't for your help. To tell you the truth, at first I thought you were one of 'them', but I see now that I can trust you. Once again, thank you...

((Ahh! It's a Suikoden look-a-like!!! Whatever, here's my profile))

Name: Corrine Moriji
Age: 15
Rune: Energy Rune. It's pretty much the same as the ligtning rune, but it's pretty different (plus I like the name xp ). The rune's power uses not only the power of electricity, but it also gives the wearer to feel certain pulses within people (pulses, as in... human pulses). The rune helps her detect those pulses, and she can cripple her opponents when she hits them.
Nation: Aydindril
Bio: Corrine is a cheerful young girl with dark raven green hair which seems to change color to a lighter raven greenish when she changes moods. Her hair is about a third of her length, and it's tied with a yellow scrunchy-like thing around the end of her hair. She has purple eyes that swirl in the moonlight, giving her enemies and allies a creepy feeling. Her face expression is always cheerful. She is pretty skinny because she doesn't eat a lot; actually, more like choosing not to eat a lot. Of her whole body, her legs seemed to be the most muscular; second to that is her arms. She pushes herself beyond her limits and usually hurts herself. She has a couple of bruises on her back (not that anyone would know stare ), and she has a scar on her left thigh, which is covered by her shorts (not that anyone would know either stare ).

Corrine wears a small bead necklace, holding a small orb given by her father. She also wears a black peasant shirt, but the the sleeves were ripped off by her. She wears small, semi-baggy shorts, which they seemed to be scratched on the sides of her waist. Behind her back was a weapon holder (I forgot what the container for a weapon was called; an example would be for a sword, and the thing that holds that), in which it holds a pole that she carries with her all the time. She doesn't wear any shoes, but her feet have grown tough from walking on the earth. In addition to what she wears, She wears a bangle on her right wrist, in which it reflects light from the sun.

Corrine didn't live on the Aydrindil continent at first. She moved from the Tanimura continent, due to the constant savagery of the race there. Her "tribe" moved to Aydrindil, hiding among the forests of *enter forest name here, or something stare *, right by the main city. Her tribe was isolated from the outside world after that, hiding from townsfolk who walk in their forest.

((I'm not adding as much now, since it's already lengthy))

The dust from the wide dirt road flew up into his face. His jacket flapping in the wind like the wing of a bird. The cool evening breeze hit his chest as sweat droplets fell from his body hitting the ground, leaving behind him a small trail of sweat. He lifted his left hand to his face as he continued to walk down the long road. He began to stare at the strange shiny white stone like objest fused into his hand. He began to get closer to the city and a great variety of people began to walk out of the large steel gate of the village. Rokuo hid his left hand in his pocket as a group of Adynril soilders marched through the gates passing right by him not noticing that he was the run away whom they were looking for. He calmy walked through the gate and began to walk through village streets in search of a place to stay for the day.

((Yay, I actually read something today! Ahem... Anyways...))

It was unlikely that'd she go outside her village. It had been years since she moved away from that dreadful place, but no matter. Corrine walked within her forest, her home. Every day, she stayed inside the village, not doing anything rash, not doing anything fun. She was tired of it all; she snuck out, not knowing the risks of leaving. It was something she shouldn't of done...

Corrine looked around, seeing the magnificant plant life she had never seen before. She saw the small daisies to her left, and the massive oaks to her right. She closed her eyes, inhaling the pollen (WTF?!) in the air, giving her a comfortable feeling. This wasn't like her village, all old and boring. She climbed trees, and hopped on the branches.

As she jumped from tree to tree, she caught something bright from her eye. She didn't know what it was, but curiousity consumed her. As she crept closer, the light was getting brighter. As she came to see it, it was an odd rock, seeing some sort of symbol on it. The strange rock was on the ground, in the middle of nowhere, in a clear spot. Corrine jumped down from the tree she was on, and she looked around cautiously. She checked to see if anyone was around.

There was no one, and her eyes concentrated on the oddly-glowing rock. Her right hand reached out to touch it, but she was hesistant. She told herself that it's just a rock, and nothing would happen. She touched it.

*enter Spiderman transformation thingy!! DUN DUN DUN!!!!*

When she touched it, she felt sharp pain within her right hand. When she looked, the oddly-glowing rock was imbuing into her skin! She didn't know what to do; she started to panic, getting her other hand to try and pull it out. However, when she reached for it with her left hand, the rock was already in her. The pain started to go away after a few seconds.

When Corrine looked at her hand, she saw something, something that wasn't there before. There was a symbol on the top part of her hand. She looked at it, with shocked eyes.

Away from the area she was in, her people saw a glimpse of light, ending up to be a ray of light shooting up into the sky. The villagers wondered what it was, and some of the warriors there started to head into that direction.

((The last paragraph told what happened when she touched it. She was unaware that a beam of light shot up when the rune embedded itself into her.))

((Back! Gee, I missed a lot. I hate time zones stressed ))

"Erm, yeer welcome. Oi didnae do tha' much, jess' picked offa couple o' soldiers." He looked rather sheepish, not being used to all the attention. "Erm, we never prop'ly intraeduced oourselves, 'ave we? Me full name's Casron de'Iliria, but ye can call me Cas." He grinned, holding out his large, rough hand for anyone to shake.
