I've seen it. I don't even know the regulars there. All the kids I knew seemed to have left to other places.
Then I made my new home in the International forum and proceeded to lose my mind and whatever sanity I had left. At least I told everyone they were assholes as often as I could.
I think I have one of the works Herzog did with Klaus Kinski queued on Netflix, My Best Fiend.

That's actually a documentary about the Kinski-Herzog relationship, which I've yet to watch. I imagine it would be amusing as hell.
International forum is ...wow. Goodness. Scary.
And indie just ******** sucks. There are still some of the old whoisyouers (or whatever) hanging around. Sort of.

I have Aguirre, Wrath of God queued, too. It's all the way down there, though. Just give me something... like why I should bump it up. Kinda like how I was motivated to watch The Isle because of fishhook swallowing....

Monkeys. Monkeys everywhere. A real mummy that Herzog's brother had to have seated on an airplane.
Klaus Kinski going crazier.
It's my favorite movie...the first scene (as with the rest of Herzog's work) is absolutely beautiful. Most of the shots could only be done once, the budget was low, and the result was spectacular.
And the commentary is soothing!

Okay, but if I hate it, you'll definitely hear about it.

You might, not everyone likes Herzog--his movies tend to be very slow.
But, s**t, I love it. So I'm convinced everyone else will.
Unless you've already seen a few of his films and I'm just being tired, in which case you'll enjoy it.
Really! Native rebellion. Not really, of course...but...there's a hanging and a flute, and beautiful costumes.

That's okay. I wouldn't feel super elitist cinephile if I didn't see a Herzog film. I remember working the film festival and running into a Herzog and Fritz Lang fan. We didn't talk much about Herzog aside from Wheel of Time which I haven't seen. He was mostly just surprised that I didn't finish watching M.

mmm, elitism. I have to work on that...I've only conquered the musical elitist barrier.
I'm really just a sucker for things that are slow and messy.

Have you seen Herzog in Julien Donkey-Boy? He was awesome in that film. So was Ewan Bremnar, who played the schizophrenic and was also Spud in Trainspotting.

mm, no, I haven't. But I feel a sudden urge to watch it sometime when I am actually able to pay good attention to a movie.

I have that problem, too. It's why I watch DVDs at home with others. When I was going to a movie theater every day, I often fell asleep during the films.

The international forum really sucks now. I only post in that pictures thread and in The Back Horn's thread when Egar does. The "nazis" killed it.
