Well, I've said this before, but to each his own. People like different things. I like lots of action with a good story. Jokes are OK and make things more fun, but I dont particularly look for them. I find the animes I listed before highly entertaining, whether they're serious or joky.
It's like you liking evangelion and me disliking it. I personnaly feel that My Hime was truly meant to be about 30 episodes, since the last 6 or 7 were so crammed in.

I agree to each their own, I can see why some people would like those. Just not mah thang.
Mai HiME wouldn't have bothered me if it was like.. one episode longer. Much longer than that and it woulda had to have filler episodes D:
But unfortunately they can't really just tack another episode on, season schedules probably don't allow it ):

I'm going to bump up this post and get it back on track at the same time (yay me!) but I have a question that had been bugging me for quite some time: Where do the Childs go after a fight? They seem to simply dissapear to wait until they are summoned again. Do they have an exiting sequence that was never shown? If so, what would they be like? Would Duran break down inot a bunch of tiny ice crystals? Maybe Kagutsuchi would vanish in a puff of smoke?

I always wondered about that, too. But it never really bothered me. As long as they showed up when needed, then jolly good.
Though, I would guess they'd go away the same way that the elements went away. They just sort of dissolve.

I actually ask for a reason beyond general curiosity. I'm actually running an experimantal HiME RP in another guild I'm in and I needed an explanation as to where the Childs went after they were done. I'll just have 'em mysteriously vanish though ^_^

I'm actually running an experimantal HiME RP in another guild I'm in and I needed an explanation as to where the Childs went after they were done. I'll just have 'em mysteriously vanish though ^_^ it's the anime hypserspace theory. anything that's not needed can be placed in to a wormhole and pulled out of thin air whenever needed.

When all of the HiMEs most important people returned to them, why did Tate end up somewhere near Mai? Since he was Shiho's loved one, shouldn't he have sparkled back to life in the hospital with her instead? Well, Nao's mother was returned in the hospital, rather than near her. (Or Maybe Nao was near the hospital?) THIS CONFUSES ME!! Because Takumi ended up at Ninja Hut with Akira and Indiana Jones revived in Midori's appartment, etc, etc, etc. So wtf? I forget if I asked this already, but it's been annoying me since last night.

Because Taters lieks to ruin EVERYTHING, including the last big fight scene in the anime. biggrin With that horrid line "I LOOOVE YEEEWWAAAUUUGHOOK OOK!" (I could smell cheese on him, really) Actually, wow, no, I never thought about that. It doesn't make any sense other than the writers seemed to totally forget they were writing a good solid series until the end ANYWAY. Perhaps people came back as where THEY would want to come back. I would imagine most would want to poof back to the person they held dear as well. Nao's mom went back to the hospital because she's a vegetable and loves her bed (no brain waves to love Nao with which makes things 934280983769843 times more depressing for her), Tate went to Mai because who the HELL would choose Shiho?

I really need to learn to control the 'Enter' key better... my last post was all kinds of spaced out... SPACED OUT!!
Anyways, I thought Nao's mommy was sitting on a bench at the end? Awake and non-comatose... biggrin
A tad inconsistent, really... MORE SO THAN THE REST OF THE FREAKING END... gonk
Oh well. It ended like it began; perverted shounen comedy, complete with short skirts and huge racks abound.
