You actually said something somewhere about history, so I invited you. ^^ (I've been invite-happy lately.)

Hello, I'm your friendly neighborhood Valgav. Not sure who recommended me, but I think my invite has something to do with Napoleon and STDs. xd
Glad to be on board discussing history. I recognize a number of WF regs, so I'm pretty sure this is a decent place to be. biggrin

Well, I'm Kizunami, or Kizu if you're in a particularly friendly (or lazy) mood. 3nodding Currently enrolled in Advanced Placement World History, and I'm rather fond especially of reading about Medieval history and art history. Don't know how I got in there, but I'm very glad indeed. =^^=

All righty... I'm Talamai, or Kecky, or even Kristin if you really want to be realistic. I'm something of a WF-regular-wannabe; I'm pretty new but trying to worm my way in with the regs. xd Which is where I know blue_icicle from.
As for history, I dislike it as a school subject, but like learning about it on my own. I'm especially into foreign languages and cultures, so I luuuuv historical linguistics especially. I wish we had a linguistics program at my school. sad

Hi! My name's Jessica, I'm 16 and I'm from S.E.Wales. I'm currently taking A/S levels in History (the unification of Germany, Britain 1815-c.1850, and something else we haven't started yet....), German, Politics and Sociolgy (though I dearly wish I'd had more sense than to opt for the last one!)
I'm completely obsessed with the history of fashion - especially during the Victorian era - and WW2. I also like the 1950s, history of schools and uniforms and the Tudor period. smile

I'm not a member, but I shall introduce myself to you, none the less. xd
I'm Longbow, i'm 16 and from good old England. I'm currently studying American foreign policy for AS Level History at college. My main area of interest is British history, from 400AD right up to the Second World War.

Hello! I'm bookie, (can you tell?) and I guess I'm here because I've settled into the WF and Blue Icicle saw me there.
I'm 17 (only for 17 days!), and a New Jersian who enjoys folklore, religion, and as a result, history. I used to be obsessed with ancient Greek and Egyptian myth, but now I'm a bit rusty. I'm currently aquainting myself with european folklore, and the moving those crazy germans did a long time ago.

Hi, I'm Castalia and I got this invite a week ago but I am slow and only now answered it. I minored in History and I particularly enjoyed middle ages of Europe and would like to know more about the history of Japan.

Hello all, I'm Jade. Unlike most of those here, it seems, I didn't look smart enough in the forums and had to request to join! (Actually, seeing the banner in Longbow's signature gave me the idea.) I'm a sophomore at university, studying theatre and communications. History is more of a hobby for me, but I love it nonetheless. My favorite topics include the Elizabethan and Regency periods in Britain, the French Revolution, the American Civil War, and a multitude of other things. I also love the study of history through primary sources--autobiographies, journals, letters, etc. Took a fascinating course last year and now can't seem to stop! I also have experience with the wonderful apush, although at my school, the outsiders had an awful habit of leaving off the "h" and calling us the "apussers". rolleyes They will simply never understand the thrill of seeing things like the Rosetta Stone in person. By the way, I'm also starting to get into linguistics (as if I need another hobby) and Romanian history. If anyone is willing to teach me what you know about these topics, I love to learn! Thank you very much, and it's nice to meet you all!
