Gwen gaped at both De'Gelis and Vauhn.
"I'll deal with you later," she whispered to Vauhn. Vauhn shrugged, he had no idea what was going on either, he only knew Bat. Their luggage vanished and would reapper when Gwen called for it.

De'Gelis pulled Vauhn and Gwen down the alley and through the fence at the back. He hauled them to the middle of the otherside and released them.

Gwen looked at him quizzically.
"Well?" Vauhn looked around. He wasn't sure if Bat would be there. This was all very strange, what was going on? Gwen looked confused, she hid her expression behind a blank one. Her eyes blazed.

De'Gelis pulled the wristband off of his left wrist and pressed it against the rose imprinted brick. The door appeared and he pushed Gwen and Vauhn inside. The door sealed shut behind him and he began walking up the two flights worth of stairs to the guild.

Gwen and Vauhn followed De'Gelis up the stairs. Gwen was on edge, she knew the guild wouldn't be happy to see her, and she was ready with her knives if they were needed. Vauhn was also a bit edgey, (sp?) and was ready for anything.

De'Gelis opened the door to the guild "lobby." It was deserted. Bat must have ushered everyone out, but eveyone knews that twilight 'til dawn were the favorite times for work. He motioned for Gwen and Vauhn to follow him, and he headed for Bat's back room.

They followed closely behind.
"This can either be really good, or really bad," Gwen whispered to Vauhn.
"He said he'd help us, so he will." Vauhn replied.

De'Gelis followed them into Bat's "office." When Bat saw them he sat back in his chair and heaved a relieved sigh.
"Oh good, you found them," he said. De'Gelis pulled off his hood and raised an eyebrow.
"You could have told me, you know."

"Tell you what? That Vauhn is the best gem dealer I have?" Bat asked. Gwen stood behind Vauhn not looking at Bat.

"That Vauhn and Gwen were the ones I was to pick up," De'Gelis answered irritatedly. "I thought you were out for Gwen's blood!" he added.
Bat rolled his eyes.
"You aren't the only one who talks to Moth you know. Welcome, Gwen and Vauhn!"

Vauhn and Gwen bowed and looked expectantly at De'Gelis.
"Well, where are we staying exactly?" Vauhn asked, Gwen still stared at the ground.

"De'Gelis can show you," Bat answered. De'Gelis raised an eyebrow.
"What do you mean that I can show them? The only place there is to stay is. . . . ." he trailed off. Bat merely smiled at him.
"OH, COME ON BAT!!!! You can't be serious!" De'Gelis exclaimed. Bat just kept on smiling. De'Gelis growled grumpily and turned to Vauhn and Gwen.
"Follow me," he snarled and left the room.

Gwen and Vauhn folled behind him.
"De'Gelis, wehre are we going?" Vauhn asked.

"To our sleeping quarters," De'Gelis answered shortly. He lead them up the stairs to the attics and opened the door to his room and ushered them inside.
"Gwen, you get the bed, if anyone needs me, I'll be up in the rafters," he said as he closed the door behind him and tossed his cloak aside.

"Vauhn, you take the bed, I perfer the floor," Gwen said.
"All right," Vauhn aswered. "I'm hungry, where's the food you got?"
"Here,' Gwen answered pulling out some of the food she'd brought.
