Amidst much barren wasteland, therein lies a Utopia, far from the reaches of the evils of this apocalyptic world. No marshes. No demons. No threats.
Until this late night hour.
Beyond the border of the utopia, there stands a robed and hooded figure atop a rocky outcrop. Her aged face hidden but her withered hands clasped at her waist. The final member of the Triad.
The winds blow harsh and cold as she raises an arm and points a clawed finger towards the barren ground that surrounds the land and fires a bolt of sorcerey.
The ground begins to rumble and shake and explodes! Rock and dirt erupts and a huge lava worm springs forth from the ground! A mammoth beast-worm, eighty feet in length and forged of fire and lava itself!
The fiery "thing" rises higher and higher and directs it's attention to the lone wooded area at one side of the utopia and it spews a bile of lava at the trees, igniting them!

During a routine sweep of his cities, New Krypton and Metropolis, Superman detects the sudden pressence of two infernos on opposite sides of his empire. One inferno towards the barren wasteland side of the empire and another on the side of the forest. The inferno on the wasteland side poses little immediate threat. So Superman heads to the forest. Using his amazing as ever Arctic Breath, the blaze is easily snuffed. Next, he easily leaps the Crystal like walls of his empire to confront the second inferno on the wasteland side, only to be confronted by an unexpected and odd creature.

Prince Namor The face of the Statue morphs back to it's normal visage and it stands upright over them all. It lowers the great torch towards them and a torrent of fire blasts towards them and Bo brings up a magical force shield around them and the small home behind them just in time! The fire grows stronger and rufus and Johnny can see the sweat grow on Bo's brow as he strains under the might of this attack! "Bo." "Y-Yes? I'm a bit... busy right now..." Bo continues to strain as Rufus smirks a bit despite the grim odds."In five seconds, I'm gonna need you to drop that shield." "How convenient. I've... only got about 30 seconds left in me." Rufus quirks an eyebrow."Looks like we're all set then. 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... As the shield drops, Rufus raises a thick wall of stone from the ground, effectively blocking the flame. Seeing the glimmering shield fade, however, the demons resume their attack, rushing in from all sides!"Now's a good time to start kicking some a**, Johnny!" And how. Kid's impressive, dropping demons left and right. Rufus stays close to Bo, making sure he has time to recover, watching Johnny speed through the horde. Regardless, the sheer number of demons allows some to charge past Johnny, horrible claws and other pointy things poised to strike. Rufus swallows hard."Hope you're ready to go soon, Razzle Dazzle--" Rufus excavates a dozen stone battle apes from the ground and makes them surround Bo."--Cuz I'm going for the big gun. Hope the troops hold out." The apes club down several demons, as he rockets 20 feet into the air on a stone pillar. Rushing forward, Rufus ascends toward the Statue's head on a staircase of similar pillars, tearing forth from the ground, often taking a few demons with them. So focused on his efforts, Rufus doesn't even notice the statue re-aiming the torch...

A demon screamed toward Johnny. Waiting until the last second, he dodged the ugly thing and grabbed its head as it passed by. Spinning, he used the demon as a club against another demon, slamming the two together. The demons went limp as he saw the statue focus on Rufus. The Brown Lantern seemed to be oblivious to the danger.
"Rufus! Watch out!" Johnny picked up a rock as big as himself. Rearing his arm back, he hurled the boulder as hard as he could at the torch. The rock shattered the torch and took off a chunk of the statue's hand.
Johnny immediately questioned the wisdom of the act when the statue roared with rage.

*With each chunk of the metal covering that is taken off of the statue more mutation manifests itself to replace. The now nearly completely organic statue rears back and roars in pain as the boulder smashes its hand, flailing the stump around. From the open wound, however, more and more grotesque demons emerge only adding to the massive army that covers the city.
The hooded figue looks down continuing to grin while he watches the tiny insects futily fight to save themselves from the inevitable. He points down at the two he wants capture sending the message to his dammed creatures. Those that were whipping, snarling, or clawing at Bo immediately move from him to the other two.
Johnny looks around him as the demons close in again, but suddenly catches the glimpse of the figure on the rooftop. He only sees the figure for a moment before it disappears but it is long enough for the King to make contact with Johnny's mind. A searing pain rips through his brain as he sees the cloaked figure in his mind.*
- "It would be better if you just let them take you, insect. I don't want any of any of you to be too damaged." -

Johnny fell to his knees, clutching his temples. The pain was unbearable! It was worse than anything that he had suffered under the hands of his old "master." Johnny tried to fight it. He tried to muster the willpower to combat this voice, but he couldn't.
The only thing in the world that mattered at that moment, the only thing he knew, was the pain. He couldn't hear the others, could barely see anything. He wanted it to end. But it didn't. His skull continued to pound.
As the demons all swarmed around him, raking and clawing at his skin, Johnny fell unconcious.

Atop the pillar, Rufus spies Johnny collapse as he's swarmed over by demons. Facing a similar barrage, Rufus slices off the top of the pillar and surfs toward Johnny, spying Bo, bewildered but strangely demon-free a few meters away.
"Get the lead out, Razzle-Dazzle, the kid's in trouble!"
Zooming in toward the mob of demons, the swarm closing in behind him, Rufus leaps off of the stone disc and sends it hurtling through the crowd of demons, taking various limbs with it, but doing little to lure the demons away from Johnny. The claws of the demons behind him already swiping at his back, Rufus begins to panic, tossing stones as quickly as he can, the ground shaking around him from the effort. Quickly though, it becomes clear that his efforts are for naught, as the demons push past the stones and Rufus slowly disappears beneath them.

Rufus's words are heard but it's harder to do anything by the young sorcerer than Rufus might think as he is standing in front of the small cottage, defending it against the menacing statue! He is firing off amber orbs of defensive magic at the colossal tower to little affect!
He turns his head and sees the dire situation of both Rufus and Johnny and turns back quickly,
"I'm trying Rufus, but this is like fighting a mountain!"
He looks up to the dark clouds and sees the black clouds rolling in, signifying a dark energy storm which is a stroke of luck in this case. He forms a orb of sorcery in the palm of his hands and sends it rocketing up into the clouds and the reaction ignites a nega-storm! Red lightning begins flashing wildly and it strikes the Statue of Liberty where it stands and it's effects nullify the magic controlling it! The statue is once again solid as before, unmoving and "standing guard" over the elderly couple's home.
"Rufus? Rufus!" Bo yells as he starts becoming overwhelmed by the demonic onslaught! Bo raises his hands to make the save when the Triad sister from afar points at him and a snare of magic ensnares his hands together, rendering him helpless!

*Jerod McNeil was pushing his horse hard, trying to outrun the coming storm. The red clouds signified something foul in the rain that it was bringing. Stampede was only too willing to comply, sensing the danger as well.*
*In the distance, he spotted something that looked as if it could pass for some sort of shelter. The ruines of an ancient building. Once colorful signs in front of the building, now overgrown with vines, and detiorated, sported only one legible word, though it meant nothing to Jerod.*
M^_L? I wonder what that was.Well, whatever it was, it's sure to be inhabited, now. I hope to be able to entreat on their hospitality . . .
*Of course, he knew that if it came to a choice between his life and theirs . . . well. Fate would make that decision.*

The lava worm rears back, towering in the air to watch with unseen eyes at this man who has flown out to obviously challenge it. It looks down as if being strung along like a marionette by unseen forces (which is true, by the Triad sorceress atop the nearby monument). It suddenly dives into the ground and submerges itself! .. ... .... Seconds later it erupts right beneath Superman, spewing forth it's lava-spit that is ready to overtake him!

Superman easily withstands the lava burst from below and issues a sharp intake and exhale of breath towards the beast, cooling it into a lava rock statue.
"That was easier than I thought it was going to be..." sweatdrop

*As the demons wash over the heroes they start to disperse from the city. The Statue of Liberty is cured from its grotesque posession by the forces of insanity. Three large fliers take to the skies, the heroes knocked out and kept in that state by the powers of these abominations. They fly towards the yellow cloaked figure on the roof of a city skyscrapper. He turns with a sick grin under his mask but wonders looking at Bo. He walks over to the magic-user a bit confused.*
"Hmmm, odd. This one was suppose to be found by the female that Hunter is suppose to be catured by. Hmm seems that he shall be her only prize. This will not bode well with him."
*Bo starts to come out of the mystic daze, resisting the demonic powers of the creatures. He starts to wake and Hastur takes notice. The flier brings Bo closer to their master and he looks over him. Bo's eyes open to the sight of a mask covered in the designs of tortured and screaming souls, accompanied by the dark eyes of the King in Yellow. Hastur extends his hand out towards Bo and touches his forehead. With the contact Bo is sent into a hellish nightmare of his worst fears and reliving every moment of pain in his life a thousand time full.*
"Bring them where they are needed, my children. Our plans have changed only slightly but they shall not from this moment forth."
*The flying demons once again take to the sky and head towards a huge Collesium, and the heroes apparent doom.*

Clark~Kent Superman easily withstands the lava burst from below and issues a sharp intake and exhale of breath towards the beast, cooling it into a lava rock statue."That was easier than I thought it was going to be..." sweatdrop But he says this, unaware of the masked presence of the Triad witch who stood below him in the crevices of the barren cliffs. He slooks up at the heroic warrior from the confined of her shadowed hood. "Foolish mortal." She hisses as she raises her withered hand and points a finger at him... It is then Superman feels the powerful surge of magic strike him in the back!

The magic energy slams into his back and blasts out through his chest, sending Kal-El of Krypton plumeting towards the barren earth. After he hits the ground he already begins to recover. Kal can't help but compare the blast that hit him to that of Captain Marvel's bolts of Magical Lightning, its been such a long time since he had seen Billy....

The Triad member then raises her hands and a large whirlwind forms, generating the force of a small tornado. It works it's way toward Suoperman and quickly envelopes him but it's action is seen not the norm, as it works to constrict and bind the Man of Steel!
