Does anyone else think more animes should be dubbed using british acents?
Or is it just that I'm British and I feel left out. sweatdrop
Either way, when my DVDs come, I'm watching them in japanese.

It really bugs me when they call sakaki miss sakaki just because in the japanese version they call her sakaki-san. O.o

i just want to strangle chiyo chan everytime i hear her in english. but i only watch it in english for osaka. shes frigign hilarious in english! rofl

I thought it was great in english! and I understand the whole osaka thing, how are we americans supposed to pull of an osakan accent! the only thing we can do is give her a different american accent!

i liked japanese better and osakas voice in the english version was to match the japanese version cuz she was foreign

I think the English voices should be as close as possible to the Japanese voices.
Most of the time, the dub doesnt match the characters at all.

yeeeeaaaahhhhh....i only listen to the english dub of azumanga daioh sweatdrop i only watched the 5 minute movie in japanese only because there is no version in english

why do they give everyone with an osake accent a southern accent in the dub...its really stupid and it wouldn't even matter since most westerners can't tell the difference between a kanto and a kansai dialect anyway.
And isn't Osaka north of Tokyo anyway?

` TenTen Osaka's voice sounded somewhat of sombody from Texas or something. ahem...the Osaka accent has stuff like yall and stuff like the southern accent does...so yeah. anyway she also does the voice of Miyu in Super Gals and Arumi(i think it's Arumi) from...crap...that weird anime with the two from osaka...whats it called. they go to that weird fantasy land thing...

I don't think that it's really all that bad. Sure, Osaka sounds like an american southerner, but that's just to get the idea that she has an accent. I'd imagine it would sound more like a brooklyn accent, but I've never been to Osaka. The dub wasn't too bad, I don't think.

Alright, dumbasses, STOP bashing the dubs! Just knock it off! It really pisses me off when people do this!
This is what the voice actors do to support a family and pay the bills. They do not do it for you guys to give 'em s**t. I don't suppose you guys could do better, huh? I doubt it. They're actually trained to do it.
There may be dubs I don't like, but I keep it to myself. personally, I loved the English dubs. I like the Japanese, too. I thought it made Osaka sound really cute.
Now, please, stop before you kill me.
And look at it this way: you guys would be bitching and moaning if they hadn't made the dub. There would be a thread in this thread's place whining about how it's not fair they didn't make an English dub.
Count your blessings, there are people who aren't fortunate enough to even know what Anime is.

And isn't Osaka north of Tokyo anyway? good point about that! and if you'll go and watch it in English and Japanese...in English she says stuff like yall and stuff and she says the same exact kinda stuff in the Japanese voice...thats why they do it. it's loosly based around the southern accent here...didn't you read the little booklet thingy that came with Volume 1? says it right in there! and go Konata-Izumi-chan!!!! you go girl! totally right!
