She powered the blade as she waited for the call, time seemed so slow without her eyes open and seeing. As Soran called she struck hard over the top of the Miniblob to stick on the sharp side.
"Beep!" She predicted that the Minblob would have a few Health Points left and bashed the halberd on the ground, attacking it as she did before, her handle was warm with sweat and the heat of the Miniblob. Suddenly the heat in front of her faded.
"We did it," she said removing the piece of cloth and bent down to pick up the chest.
"Here," she said, turning around and offering the chest, "You deserve this, a battle well fought."

"Oh no, you did the work. I just helped as I saw it was needed." Soran put out a hand, stopping Ruqua. "You collect what you rightfully earned and let's get out of here." She summoned out her inventory and pulled out a health potion, pouring a quarter on her arm and drinking the rest.

Ruqua felt tired from battling and did not like or feel like arguing, so she opened the chest.
Items gained: 1x Red Cloth Headband
150 gold
She almost burst out laughing.
"Nice," she said, "Pretty useless to me, but I'll keep it as we might need it later, for an event like today."
Ruqua also pulled out a healing potion and drank it, she was damaged by the heat.
"Let's go then," she said brightly walking the few metres to the portal before glancing back and stepping in.

"Finally," Soran said as she followed Ruqua into the Chaos Gate. The portal went up, blocking the view, and came back down, revealing Ouru as they had left it, if a little darker. "So, is there a hospital or clinic I go to for this burn?" she asked her friend as they started down the stairs.

"Not really, as wounds would heal pretty quick, but if you want an instant cure there is always the market to buy the item or one of the NPCs stores, the Apothecary. Do you want to head there?" she asked stepping down the stairs in a slower pace, enjoying the view and welcome breeze.

Soran thought a moment. "Nah, I can wait for it to heal since I'm not fighting anymore today." She followed Ruqua down the steps. "So what are you doing for the rest of the day?"

"Yeah, battles are harsh especially that last one. Well I am not particularly sure of what to do... But I guess I can go hunting for some quest or maybe visit shops or watch other battlers for some nifty moves. If not I guess I can go clean up our hideout, or show you around" she said and leapt the last few steps down to the ground.

"Well, I would like a tour if you don't mind," Soran said as she followed Ruqua off the stairs. She took off her holster and put it on her arm, and took off her vest with her one free hand. "I could use this sewn, though," she said, and sighed.

"Sure thing, I guess we should head to the Clothing Shop then and get it patched up then," she said in her usual brightness and started to walk through the square and into a side street.
"Everything is based on the Root Town of the Server, all Root Towns are different. Ouru is the City of Trees," she said gesturing around at the towering trees that filtered soft light through to the bare stone tiles of the ground. "The events, announcements and daily reports are shown in the Town Square at different times on the big screen above the clock tower, though you can access them just as well by yourself. The real only time that you should go there is for the event information broadcast, the events would be explained there."

Soran nodded. "Do you know about the other Root Towns? For example, what Root Town are you under?" She put her sword in her holster and put that back on her back.

"Yeah, Azyu is my one, though I rarely go on it much. Azyu is the City of the Red Desert. Much like what it is in Northern Territory in Australia, it has quite some exotic creatures like these servers do as well. There are common creatures in all the worlds, they are identical and there are some special common creatures only availiable to the Country or even State a server is in." She turned right then left into another street and there was the Clothing Shop.
"Here we are at the Clothing Shop where you can patch up your clothing or buy some. The Armoury is a few shops down and the Blacksmith is on the other street. We can visit them as well later," she said pointing directions and entered the store.
A small bell chimed merrily against the door as she pushed inwards. It was quite a large shop, though it did not look like it – with the many shelves filled with fabrics and items and the large table laden with cloths and unfinished works. Late light filtered in from the trees past the glass and lanterns were lit around the walls, glowing cheerfully behind colourful patterned paper. The NPC peered up from her counter and put down a pencil on a paper which looked like plans for an elaborate costume. The scraping of the stool sounded as she rose, clasping her hands together in deference as she came forward.
NPC Lestila was the name tag that briefly appeared as she came closer.
“Hello my little dearies, what can I do for you? May it be a dress? I hear an event is coming soon. Or how about new prettier gloves for you young lady?” she said aiming it at Ruqua’s worn gloves.
“No, not today Lestila, but I thank you, I believe my friend here has something for you to repair,” she said looking at Soran.

"Yeah, I tore my vest." She took off her holster and her vest and handed it to Lestila. "How much will it cost to repair and how long will it take?" She thought a moment and then turned to Ruqua. "What kind of event is coming up?"
A ding sounded. Soran was too tired to jump, even though it startled her. She touched the envelope over her head and it opened. I'm back! Sender: Terrania Hey girl! I'm in town (meaning Ouru) early. Where are you? I'll just add you since I'm here. -Jenn
A question mark popped up and the words from earlier started. "GS468664 Terrania has sent a request to trade Member Numbers with you. Please note that if you trade Member Numbers with Terrania she will automatically be listed as a friend. Do you wish to continue?" the automatic voice said. Soran thought yes. "GS468664 Terrania is now listed as a friend. This will be stored in your friendslist in your Journal."

Lestila held the items with care and placed them on the table closest to her as Soran asked the question.
"Oh, I just hear things my dear, I am not supposed to tell," Lestila chortled, "Though it is quite a fun one I might add," she winked at her with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"The repairs would cost..." Lestila started, eyeing Soran carefully, "200 gold. You are young and still have a long way to go, let me not be of a burden. A fair price?"
At the mail upon her head she smiled before looking down at the vest and examining it thoughtfully.
Ruqua shifted her weight to her other foot and leaned on her halberd, watching the changing patterns of soft light that filtered through the window and near her feet.

Soran looked in her inventory. She was glad she'd gotten some starting gold. Handing over most of her gold, she sighed. I had no choice. It's soulbound. "Thanks, ma'am." She hit the Reply button. "Hi Jenn. I'm in the Clothing Shop if you want to come see me. I do have a friend, but we've been here the whole time."

"No problems at all, I get paid for this. You dearies can come back in half an hour or so," Lestila said accepting the gold and withdrawed, tucking the gold in her pouch.
Ruqua waited patiently for Soran to be done and tugged at her beaded hair, pulling the feather out to examine it. The feather seemed to have a magical aura around it. She heard a faint chirp and looked outside. Ruqua could see nothing in the tree outside. The chirping started again and it seemed to chuckle at her attempts to find the source.
Lestila had taken a few pieces of cloth down and began to work, but made eye contact when Ruqua looked at her.
"Dear, you seem a bit dazed just then, do you want me to get some water for you?" Lestila asked, her clear brown eyes showing some concern.
Ruqua gazed into them, "Thank you, that would be nice."
As Lestila walked away, deeper into the back Ruqua looked at Soran.
"Like the rocks underneath the running water," she said thoughtfully.
