One of the first episodes I saw was 'Crush', when Dru comes back. That one scared me a lot. Now it doesn't. The only one which really scared me was 'After Life', especially the beginning, when the demon takes over Anya. It freaked me out.

I've never been scared by an episode of Buffy or Angel, but both Hush and Killed By Death creeped me out a bit.

ayruh What do you think was the scariest episode in Buffy or Angel? I think the scariest episode for me might have been the one with Sid the puppet 'cause that puppet is just freaky. The Malcom episode startled me as well. In buffy I guess season one scared me the most because it was just the begining of Buffy and I wasn't used to it. Now I just laugh at horror stuff. In Angel, season one was also scary where they guy can disemsemble himself. I was under my blanket when I was watching this and the scene I was watching was when the guy was watching the girl he like. Then I got scared of rapists disesmbling themselves. Haha. Im so weird. After watching the whole of Buffy it doesnt seem as scary anymore. Haha i'm tired

ok, this may seem odd, since the ep in context isn't really scary... but I thought that "Normal Again" was just damn creepy... I mean, what if the whole world BTVS was in Buffy's head? that very notion-- and seeing Buffy struggle with it, was probably the scariest for me.
(i do give nods to Hush for scaring me also, but Normal Again is just too real to not be scary)

oh yeah, that was freaky. not knowing if her entire world was just a figment of her imagination. scary! and we still could technically say that she just surrendered forever to her crazed mind at the end of that episode. could be that she was in an institution for the whole time. but that would make for a very lame story-line tho. I like the main one much better! even if it could be made up.

Hush was scary because it actually made me jump in my couch but looking beyond just the jumps I'd say Conversations With Dead People because what would you do if a dead person appeared and started talking to you, expecially someone you know and to discover it isn't really them but a great evil wanting to mess with you. Playing with your emotions like Dawn "Mom..." or Willow "Tara?" How hard would that be? I mean that one line "She still sings to you." the fact that something evil knows you that well has to freak you out a little... plus that creepy thing with Joyce's body on the couch freaked the hell outta me!!

Gaming_Dude "Hush" is the single most horrofying ep of all the eps. I still get scared when olivia looks out the window and sees the floating demon. I think hush is the scariest episode eve creeps me out every time*looks behind her**makes sure she can still speak* ok i'm good lol

Buffy definitely has the scariest episodes. The episode that scared me the most was Conversations with Dead People when Dawn thought she was talking to her dead mother.

As for Buffy... "Conversations With Dead People" scared me a lot. I can't think of any other ones other than "Hush"... but that only scared me because when it was on the WB my brother started pounding on my door at the absolute worst time. O_o
I don't know about Angel. I don't remember ever being scared.
