....does it count if I just eat the salt? *salt o holic* no i haven't read xxxholic, but i'll keep an eye for it. there's supposed to be a manga called The Tarot Cafe, it sounds interesting.
i've gotta do somethin' bout that ghoul, he's creepy and stares at me with white eyes. *quivers in fear*

i've gotta do somethin' bout that ghoul, he's creepy and stares at me with white eyes. *quivers in fear* I do not know anything about ghouls, but you can try throwing salt at it. *don't eat salt!! too much sodium in your system!* I have seen the advertisement for Tarot Cafe, I do not like the graphic much sad

...Salt works to create protective barriers, rarely to dispatch of a ghoul. Sam and I did that our own way to keep some nasty little brats out of her house. If you want to do that, then simply scatter the salt in a neat line around what you want protected and chant, "Keep the good in and send the evil out" or something similar. That's what Sam made up, at least. It worked quite well.
As to banishing...I do that my own way. If you don't want him and you think he's there for a specific purpose, tell the ghoul he will "find tastier treats" if he "follows the silver rope" to my house. Or, if you'd prefer, I can get rid of him later on. [I don't have to be there to banish anything, and I don't know the "banishing ritual" how others do it.]

he hasn't shown up recently, but i think that's because i get tucked into bed by my spiriting magick brother...he's not always close enough to stop the ghouls and stuff though....i'll tell you the next time he pops up. thanks

Darn. My computer died earlier...and took the wordpad document with it. *sigh*
Oh well. Here's how I do barriers, to keep things out.
Step One: Decide what you want kept out.
Step Two: In your mind, picture [in perfect detail] the area you want to be protected.
Step Three: While picturing that area, focus on what you want kept out.
Step Four: Now imagine a white light surrounding the area you want out. Keep forcing that image until it seems to be there of it's own free will.
Step Five: If you want it to keep itself running, without you having to ground or recharge it, make it a dome, that runs under ground and ties together. Then tie it to an energy source [i.e. something in your room like a plant, the ground, or yourself].
I hope that helps...I know I'm not good at describing things, but that's usually how I do my barriers. sweatdrop
