la_ptitevache mmm..no there won't be a 2nd or 3rd season...the producer said a 2nd season would be impossible because it wouldn't be as dynamic as the 1st one... however in my opinion, it wouldn't be possible because they messed up the anime...in the sense that they created an ending that wasn't part of the manga. They'd be missing too many parts. If a 2nd and 3rd season were to take place, I think they should remake the 1st one properly, then they could make continuations. It's not that the ending wasn't part of the manga. They didn't make up their own ending. They just *stopped*. The reason they stopped was because they didn't want to make up their own ending.

OrochaAkui Yilei Slightly difficult to do with the recent spoiler plot twist chapter this past summer, but certainly not impossible. Just kind of difficult to explain some things away. I'd kind of prefer it if they just kind of re-did the first season so that a second and third would make more sense in light of what happened in the manga, because again, explaining some things away might be difficult if they pick up where they left off. Otherwise I'm all for it. You are absolutely right! And it wold be the best if they actually gave Momiji a boys voice with a slight german accent next time! or maybe just a boys voice!!! (I was really upset that he didn't seem German in the show!) Erm, well, I'm not sure what version of the anime you're watching, but what Funimation does with the casting is their own business. As for the Japanese side, I don't really see a point in giving him a German accent if he's only lived in Japan. You get accents from adapting to the language phonemes (sp?) in your environment. When you're born, you're born with the capability of speaking every language in the world, but as you get older your brain kills off the phonemes you don't use in your environment and that's what creates accents. The fact that your brain killed off your ability to correctly pronounce words in another language because it wasn't in your original environment. I'm not recalling what Momiji's mother's background is, but regardless since he grew up in Japan, he'd have a Japanese set of phonemes.

I think it would be great to have a second and third season cuz they left out so much stuff in the first season. But then again it won't really be a new season if they just included stuff from the manga that they missed. More like a "Fruits Basket: Revisited" thing...

I'v heard that a second season is coming oout next summer. but if that happens then the people who makes fruits basket will have to start the show all over again because of the last episode.

Well my friend went to an anime expo, and she saw the cast of Fruits Basket looking for some props for the second season.......so i say they will! But i dont know about the third one.........

The second season would be great but I think they've already skipped out too much in the first season to be following the manga.

UlrichWannaBe We so need a 2nd and 3rd season it sucks not having one. true that would be nice if the anime did have a second and third season but it's jsut not gonna happen so you'd best just stick to reading the manga *nodnods*

In a way, Im sorta hoping they dont make one because the anime and manga go seperate plottage paths and im afraid the anime may ruin the Furuba goodness.... Do u catch my drift here? Im sorry for being such a party pooper... sad
But if they do, ill watch it anyway because thats what FB Fangirls do best! heart
