Candy nodded her head when Max said he would teach her about how to protect herself more. When she was younger he only taught her about salt and holy water really, but now that she was older she hoped he would teach her more then just sprinkling a little bit of salt. Though when Max brought up Charles and getting married to him and even having kids. "How is that a good life if I didn't choose it..." She said quietly, mostly to herself as she looked down at the floor. After all the girl lost her name, who she was and was made to become Felicity and marry Charles. Candy did not have a say in the matter and there was nothing she could really do about it.

Candy felt Max's warm hand touch her chin and soon her eye's were not looking at the ground but at Max's eye's. Another slight blush came onto her face as she looked at Max and she felt her heart skip a beat. "I think I would be happier in my tree house..." She couldn't help but smile ever so slightly when she said that. She missed her tree house she had back at her real home. In the middle of the woods by a very small lake, it was more of a big pond really. Just thinking about it made her miss it and home, which lead to her thinking about her parents and then their death. " I think I am going to try to get some sleep now..." Although she knew that she wouldn't get much sleep and if she did she would relive the night of her parents death. She crawled in under the covers and looked at Max. "Thank you for letting me sleep in your bed...And Max on your way out... Don't turn off the light..." Like she was younger Candy could not be left alone in the dark. When she slept she had to have a nightlight on but tonight she wanted as much light as she could.

She didn't think Max would tuck her in like he did when she was 12 but he did. Candy could feel her face warming up as a blush was starting to be painted across her face. She sunk into the covers a bit to cover the fact that she was blushing again. It seemed like only Max could get her like this and Candy wasn't sure what to do about it. The only thing that was missing was his goodnight kiss on the forehead but he didn't give her a goodnight kiss. In a way Candy was glad he didn't because she wouldn't be able to control her feelings, but at the same time she wished he did kiss her. All Candy could do was give Max a nod with her face still covered as she watched him walk out the door. She looked at the door for a while only thinking of one thing. How can I learn to love someone.... When I am inlove with you...

Charles was sitting on the couch when Max walked in and tossed him the clothes. "Ah thank you." He said before getting up and walking to the bathroom to get changed. Once changed he came back and laid down on the couch with a sigh. " Well... Good night then." And with that Charles took off his glasses, putting them on the coffee table before slowly falling asleep.

That night Candy did not get much sleep at all, just as she thought she would. Her mind was willed with so many thing's and every little noise she herd she couldn't help but flinch or sit up to look around the room and out the window. Soon enough though Candy did get some sleep but it didn't last long as she dreamed about the night her parents died. They were staying over night at a friends house when the demon's came in. Her mother hid Candy in the cubert under the sink in the kitchen just before the demons found them. Candy saw everything that happened as the door was not shut all the way.

Waking up in a sweat Candy sat up panting as she woke up from her nightmare. She rubbed her head before flopping back down on the bed, hugging Max's pillow and stuffing her face into it. The smell calmed her down as it was almost like hugging Max himself. She didn't bother trying going back to sleep as it wasn't long till the sun came up anyways.

Max slept little, mainly looking at the ceiling most the time letting his mind drift abut as he normally did. About half an hour before the sun was up he slid off the love seat and walked to the kitchen, filling the coffee machine he turned it on. Ann walked out of her room in her shorts and tank top, her hair pulled into a hair tie. The two nodded a morning greeting and Ann grabbed the egg's, Max getting the pan and toaster out. As she started the scrambled eggs Max went to the fridge then started bacon and toast for everyone one.

For the two this was normal, they worked together to cook and then depending on the days and who had a job decided who did what work normally. They were functioning like two simple people in a home, no contact and just knowing what their share of the work was.

Ann looked over tired and yawned "Oh yeah..... I forgot we had people over. Max get me more eggs" Ann grumbled as she turned back to her pan scratching her side as she watched the egg's.

"Ann get it yourself, I have the coffee, toast and bacon to keep an eye on" Max said with a side glance at Candy and smiled before Ann kicked his leg knocking him off balance for a moment. Glaring at her he watched as she got the extra eggs she needed. "Dont mind Ann, she's not the best morning person, after her coffee she'll be a lot happier. Or after getting Charles up." Mas said softly with a shrug.

A grin spread on Anns face and Max had to hold back his laugh "Letting Ann know that might have just made her morning. Hay Candy go ahead and sit down at the table you shouldnt be helping out. The cooking is Ann's and my job, you rest okay you still look tired" Max said looking at her as he walked to the coffee maker and taking the pot he poured it all in one mug then handed it to Candy before he went back to the bacon

"I called Charles parents and let them know where you two are, for now they will decde if you will marry or if we should relocate you alone. Depending on what happens up to the point of the wedding and during will decide if Max or I need to take you else where to be safe again." Ann said looking over her shoulder as Max took a plate with some toast to the table. Platting the first an of eggs she started another. "And while your staying here you can help around the house, Charles gets to work outside with Max."
