He didn't have an expression on his face anymore, just a blank expression. She desired to be his friend instead. There was an issue with that. "....I don't desire to have a friend........I am a guardian. I am built for the purpose of serving someone. To protect them with my life. That is what I am. Because of what I am I have no desire to have friends. I am not human Red so understand as a reaper I am not born with the capability of having any emotions. It is possible for me to learn such as we've already discovered but that isn't the issue. The problem is unlike humans reapers do not desire to be loved, have contact with others, and most of the time do not pursue the desire to have emotions like a human. I'm the only one so far that does have interest in that one thing. Reapers were made to be alone. To be created with one task, and that is all. My task used to be collecting the souls of those who were meant to die, but because of a certain incident I changed slightly. I was changed into the role of a more guardian like purpose. That is what I am made to do now, instead of collecting souls." After speaking he went silent for a few minutes looking away from her. He no longer showed emotions anymore and with it he stood up from his chair and finally directed his attention at her. "I'm sorry Red for disappointing you if you desired to be my friend, but I am not built the way a human thinks. Perhaps if I was human I would of gladly accepted that offer. I have no other purpose anymore here. As I am now, I must search for a master otherwise I have no purpose in this life." ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

Again Leon's face went blank. No longer did he show any signs of emotion. It pains the young lady to see that the small chance of her to know him more was hindered by the fact that she suggested to his friend. She did not mean to make him upset. All she wanted was to maybe somehow be someone whom he sees as an equal. She wanted to stay by his side but the only was to do that was to be his master nothing else. Blinking back her tears, she tried to speak but then she heard him saying that he had no longer any purpose in life. Was he this lonely? How long has it been when he was left by his master? Poor thing. At that point she felt guilty for bringing in such topic into their conversation. I'm sorry Leon. I did not mean to upset you. If you'd like then I could be your master temporarily. I'd stay by your side until you find yourself a suitable master. She smiled sweetly. It was one thing that she was able to bring out some of his emotions but pushing him too much would be no be good. He still has his individuality and she understands that. He respected her ideals then maybe it was time to do the same with him.

It didn't bother me that you didn't want to be my master. I wasn't even mad or anything negative. You mistaken my reactions as something bad when in reality its just how i am." He then listened as she said that she would agree to be his master temporarily but he would stop her after she finished. "Once you accept being my master there is no going back. There isn't a replacement to being my master either you accept it all at once or none at all." He couldn't have a temporary master. There was no such thing as a temporary master. If she wanted him to stay that was the only way she was going to get him to do so. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

Rendeline bit her lower lip and looked down to her hands, not saying a single word. After seeing Leon smile and show array of emotions she kind of forgot that this is how he normally was. She raised her head to look at him once more when he she told her that if she wanted to be his master then it's all or nothing. Her eyes dance around his face for a while thinking what or how she should answer. If she said yes then there's no turning back. That would mean that she would take responsibility for his well being as well, right? She was not sure if she would be able to do that but decided to risk it. If... If you think that I'm worthy enough to be your master then that would be fine, I guess. If this was to give him purpose to live then she thought that it would be a good choice. Besides they still need to finish their little project. One emotion left to discover. Love.

It all goes by the personality that they present. There are very few people I won't accept as my master, and those are generally people who wish to abuse my ability to manipulate time for their own personal gain. Your pure of heart, kind of like how a princess was back in the old medieval times. So as far as I'm concerned you are worthy enough to be my master." Leon then approached Red and raised his hand up in the air causing his clockwork blade to appear in his hand. He then lowered his blade and clicked a button on the dial causing the blades to disappear once more. He then held it right in front of Red. "If your truly serious about being my master take this clock and say the phrase "The vessel of time, stand before me. I claim you as my servant, for I am your master." Then the process will be done and the contract will be sealed." ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

Rendeline was still a little unsure about what she was doing. However she had already decided that she would go for it once he would be fine with her being his master. In blink of an eye his weapon swiftly flew into his hand transforming itself, removing the blade. She listened intently to him as he gave her the instructions for her to be his master. Once he finished she raised he hand reaching for the clock but pulled it back. She held her hand on her chest and stared at the clock for a few more seconds as she took a few deep breaths then attempted to reach for it once again. As soon as her hand touched the clock he looked up at Leon then back it the weapon then recited, The vessel of time, stand before me. I claim you as my servant, for I am your master. and waited for something to happen.

On her hand that held the clock a sigil would brand itself to her. When she looked upon the sigil it would bear the same sigil as the one on Leon's small pocket watch. After the sigil was completely finished the clock would change to a completely different color. It glowed with a blood red aura. It was likely Red could feel the intense power stored inside of it. Though as that began to happen Leon spoke. "I hear your voice, and shall do as you say, I am your servant. Master." If Red was looking at Leon she would see his left hand glowing white for a short period of time and then vanish. The clock did not change but Leon would explain to her as to what was happening. "Now that you are my master Red you can use that blade to manipulate time like me. You also have the capability of summoning a clockwork weapon of your own personal design that suits to you. Like my own weapon you can use your own weapon just the same as mine." ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

As soon as Rendeline finished stating the words Leon told her to say, she felt like a light current came through her veins. Removing her hand from the clock she saw that palm had started to glow revealing turning it around to face her it revealed a sigil, the same one she saw on the Leon's pocket watch. From bright white glow it turned into a bloody hue. She could feel the power oozing through her body. Her eyes moved from her hand to the reaper as he began to speak his part of the deal. His hand had the same glow that just like hers when she removed it from the clock.
She listened carefully as he further explained how this contract works. As soon as he was done explaining she nodded and thought to herself what would be a good clockwork weapon.She closed her eyes for better visualization. At first she thought of just copying his but then again she knew for a fact that she would not be able to control it's weight properly nor will she see the need to use it. Then see thought that maybe a small book would be proper. Slowly the image came to mind. It was a hard bound book with golden borders. On the cover page of the book there was the same clockwork that was on Leon's blade. Written inside are the words and instructions on how they work since she was not the brightest person. All the time that her eyes were closed she had not realized that what she had imaged was slowly forming in front of her. As soon as she open her eyes she saw the exact the same image she was thinking about just a while ago floating into the air. She stared at it in awe then took a glance at Leon. Is... Is this mine?

When she imaged her weapon Leon would not be surprised as to what she had conjured up. A book of all things. It was amusing and it could be useful to her since she would have to understand how the power works. When she looked awestruck she asked if that was hers and Leon spoke up. "Indeed it is. You are now my master Red. I am your servant, and your guardian. Whatever you need I shall acquire, and I'll protect you with my life. As a servant to you I vow this as a promise." Leon looked determined and serious, but above all else he had a smile on his face again. He looked happy, and proud. Perhaps of her, or the feeling of being a servant again. Whatever it was he seemed content with his situation. He bowed to her and waited for her to give an order or to ask him to do something for her. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

Rendeline slowly nodded and looked back at the book that was now considered as her weapon. She extended her hands reaching for the book as grabbing it in both ends and flipped it to see the embossed clock on the cover page. A smile crept to her lips and hugged it close to her heart. Her eye went back to Leon when he explained his duties to her. Her smile turned into a frown when he considered himself as her servant. Leon, would do me a favor and not pertain yourself as my servant? I really do not feel comfortable looking at you in such position. A guardian would be fine though. She said and tucked a strand of hair to her ear. Finally the smile she had been looking for came back to his face. She blinked when he suddenly bowed his head. She reached out her hand to touch him but pulled it back when it was about a few inches from his hair. He just stayed in that position not moving a muscle. Was he waiting for her to order him? Uhm... Please lift your head and look at me. I know that you have your ways in treating your master but please feel free to act casually around me, not as your superior. She smiled gently at her new guardian.

He merely chuckled a little and spoke back in response. "I'm sorry but I will always refer myself as a servant. To you or anyone for that matter who may be my master. I won't say the word servant but for as I am that is my role." He then listened as she asked him to lift his head and look at her along with treating her casually which was likely impossible for him. "I can look at you but understand that I cannot see you any other way but my superior. After all you are my master now. You may not be accustomed to this Red but this is how I am. You can give me tasks that I can do, but telling me to change how I am is not going to go anywhere. I apologize if I disappoint you." He still didn't change his attitude. Rendeline was confused hearing him laughed. Did she say anything funny? After he explained the reason why he was doing it she simply shook her head with a smile. She really meant what she said but she;d let it go for now. This was her first time seeing him in such a good mood. No need to apologize. You're right, I will not force you to change but just to remind you I'm not really fond of being served by anyone. I am fully capable of doing things myself. Though I am really glad that you are now in such a good mood. You look better this way. She giggled.
Now that was done, she took the dishes and places the on the sink. She then gathered the remaining food and placed them back in the fridge. Do you have any plans for the day? She asked and she started to clean up the dishes. She remembered Renton mentioning that he would be putting up a music shop and wondered if it was already up and running by now.

Leon would respond in a pleasant tone. "I never said you weren't Red. My job is to do the things that you can't do by yourself. That is my purpose." She then commented that she liked him more with the mood he was in. Only with his master could he be in such a good mood. Leon watched as she went to put the dishes away, and seeing as she did not request him to do anything he just sat down at the table and watched her with a smile on his face. When she asked him if he had plans today he shook his head. "I never had any plans before I met you so no. Rendeline turned around to face him leaning by the counter and said, Well... I would admit that there are only a things I cannot do so... okay! She shrugged cheerfully and returned to washing the dishes. The fact that Leon chose to sit there and not help her means that he respects her opinions about him somehow so it made her feel a little happier than usual. After she was finished with them she took the cloth and dried her hands. Rendeline sighed when he told her that he would base his decision depending on how she instructs him to be. She hang the cloth to dry walking closer to him. I was planning to look for Renton's music shop. Would you like to come with me? She left it hanging as a question just to make sure he gets to decide for himself not her.

"Honestly I don't care. If you want me to come, I'll gladly do so, but if you want to go by yourself then I won't question it and wait. I'm sure your going to say something like I don't have to stay here and wait for you if you did go by yourself but know that I don't need to do much. I'm content already. I don't really need to eat, or even socialize with others, and that alone is very rare for me to do. I guess you could say that your lucky I decided to approach you at all. I normally don't do such a thing. So if you were worried if I was going to be bored by myself you don't have to worry about that. I am never bored to be honest. I have always something interesting to think about. Now that I think about it the reason I talked to you was because I had interest in you." It was true.
