The sun is a star, you know. Like me! Superstar! And with that, Tancred takes off, trying to dip into the eddies made by Zaagade earlier. Yue is uncharacteristically quiet, just watching them.

Minna is quietly content to watch the sunrise...Zaagade watches with her for about three minutes, and promptly flies after Tancred. His mother's eyes are quietly content...until she visibly winces at another voice.
"Heeeey...look who it is! Powder!"
Minna closes her eyes for strength just a moment, and forces a smile. "Good morning, Joseph."
"Hi!" The very fit, annoyingly peppy man runs in place to stop and talk to Minna. "Here again, huh? You should come running with me sometime, see that sunrise moving for once!"
"I start earlier than you, I'm quite sure," Minna notes with a quiet smile. "I wouldn't want to inconvenience you."
"Yeah, but you wouldn't have to if you'd just run, right? Then you wouldn't have to start in the middle of the night...have less chance of running into a ghost, huh? Your twin brother Casper?" He laughs at this, thinks he's being quite witty.
Zaagade stops flying around near Yue...doesn't spin, really, just looks at his mother, responding to her mood despite her calm, friendly outer layer.
"I'm not really one for running," Minna admits, still maintaining that smile.

Hey... what's wrong Zaagade? You're miffed.
Yue hops down from his perch, face quietly neutral. He steps over to Minna, looks with a fair deal of contempt at 'Joseph'.
"Minna," he says in his girlish voice, "shall we see about breakfast?"

Joseph grins admiringly at Yue. "Who's your friend, Powder?"
I'm not sure... Zaagade answers Tancred... but mother's not happy...I think she's mad at this runner man... He gets up and flutters over to her, setting protectively on her head.
Joseph stiffens. Before Minna can answer the preceding question... "and what the hell is that?"
The Ojibway smiles, keeping her cool for the moment. "This is Yue...and 'that' is my young friend Zaagade. But, as Yue said...we were just going to breakfast."
Joseph's still torn between staring at the beautiful woman or te flying...'friend'. "But what is it?

Grr... wait wait. Maybe it's something else let's watch and see.
"Powder?" Yue blinks, looks at Minna. "I don't understand. But yes. I think there is a very nice restaurant down the way, Minna. Let's go before his eyelids freeze like that."

Zaagade just stays settled, wings twitching agitatedly.
Minna smiles at Yue, eyes grateful for the backup, and nods. "Yes...we really should get going, I have a good deal to do later today. It was nice seeing you, Joseph."
He's still staring at the switch as they start walking away. "Yeah...nice..." he finally shakes his head, and starts running again.

"Powder, Minna? Ghastly." Yue shakes his head, long black locks flicking about. "I should get you a can of spray foot-powder, so you can turn that back on him next time."
Well, it resolved itself. That guy is, I think, a mook. I'm glad he's gone.

Yes. I thought we were going to have to trip him, too. Zaagade vibrates happily at the idea.
Minna laughs softly, very relieved that Joseph's heading the other way. "That's a lovely idea, really. Thank you for bailing me out back there...he's the downside to watching the sunrise here."

Wouldn't that be fun? Hey! Let's do this again tomorrow. And then we'll try it!
Yue, oddly enough, has the very same idea as Tancred. "I usually stargaze near the park. Would you be affronted if we met here again tomorrow? I could tie him in a knot for you." He shrugs. "Or I could share my secret with him. Perhaps he could have stopped staring at my chest then."

Minna laughs softly. "He would probably never recover from that, the poor thing. You've seen how well he reacts to things even slightly unusual into his neat little world." She smiles up at Yue. "Tomorrow...would be lovely. Though, we haven't finished today yet." Her eyes sparkle at this.

The restaurant Yue mentioned is a little all-night diner, so small in fact that it doesn't really even have a marquee, just a street sign. Yue holds the door for her, of course.
Hmm... I wonder what's in here? What's a restaurant?

Minna laughs softly, just beginning to relax again after the Joseph incident. "A fine attitude, I think. Thank you." The last bit's for opening the door, and Zaagade zips in after her, getting nervous at the crowd and keeping close.
I dunno, the topaz switch observes. Mother said she's hungry, and when she's hungry, she eats. I'm not sure why people eat, though. But maybe this place has food?

Food? Hmm... I hardly ever see father eat. Maybe that's why he's only plump in spots.
Yue spots a table that's pretty isolated, away from the people who might be inclined to stare and risk having their faces rearranged. "Any idea what you might like? Order whatever you want, I... am fairly well off, so I can pick it up." Well off's a**. Yue's spent the last hundred years collecting interest, which is only the third most obvious thing for a person so knowledgable of time to do.

He's really plump in spots, Zaagade notes, nodding his whole little body.
Minna smiles at Yue. "That's very sweet of you to treat, thank you so much. Mmm..." she glances at the menu. "Do you know how the fruit here is?"

Your mom is kinda plump, but not like father. I wonder if it's good to be plump in spots? People who are plump all over usually look tired. Tancred, meanwhile, has taken the lazy approach and sat down upon the edge of the table.
"Honestly, I couldn't tell you. I almost always order eggs and sausage links." He grins a bit. "I have to have some fat in my diet, or else I would have no a** whatsoever."
