Morrighanscrow I've got a really nice glass surrounded with a dragon that I drink my mead from......I'm from Oz so what do you expect rofl rofl rofl rofl A ram's horn, you aussies have big sheep ranches so I'm sure you could find and hollow out a drinking horn from a recently deceased ram smile -laughs- My drinking horn came from a highland cow -laughs-

Musical_Vampire_Socks I have never had alcoholic mead, is it good? and what should I drink it out of? lol I like it, even though I don't really drink these days. Some folks are all about drinking from horns, but honestly a small cup will do (you can heat up mead and it's just as yummy). I put emphasis on small cup because even a small tumbler can be too much. Then again, I'm a featherweight. sweatdrop ADD: I will warn it is very sweet, almost like a riesling. I thought I'd warn you since I tend to forget most folks aren't like Americans who prefer sweeter liquors.

This is a time to remember our ancestors and honor those who've passed. A great way to honor those loved ones is to share stories about them. These stories can range from downright spooky (but clean) to something kooky. Stories such as those keep a part of them alive and provide a special place for them in your heart.
What is your favorite story about one of your departed ancestors? If you don't have a story about an ancestor, what is your favorite story about a pet/ loved one/ friend/ etc. who has departed?

If you don't have a story about an ancestor, what is your favorite story about a pet/ loved one/ friend/ etc. who has departed?My father passed in August, I had sat with him for 2 days while he was dying, I held his hand and sang to him told him how much I loved him and told him that it was alright to go, it seemed as if he was waiting for some one or some thing. The hour before he passed his breathing got lighter and he was smiling, I was hugging him and he held out his arm as if to hold someones hand, I looked up and saw my mum (she had passed 12 years before) and she had her hand held out, my dad held my mum's hand and took his last breathe. I was crying and then realised that it was my mum and dad's 61st wedding anniversary and that was what he was waiting for. It was such a privilege to be there when my mum came for my dad and I was happy that they were together again. I was a very spiritual moment one I will never forget.
