"I made a promise to a friend that I would help. I may be a criminal by your standards now... but if General Vixen has his way. The actions I took today will look like childs play. I thought I killed him years ago... and I'll make sure he's dead this time." He said clenching his fist. "So what do you say? You think you'll let me tag along?" He said outstretching his hands. "For these investigations of course..."

The captain simply stared at him assessingly, contemplating his explanation. He had offered them a great deal of information as it was. Were his reasons in bad intention, he wouldn't be offering himself as he was. Out in the open, helpless to attack. The captain heaved a sigh. "Retribution. Very well foreigner, I'll take your word for now." he said. "What I am doing now is either a great mistake, or a great advantage. Bo matter... know if you betray us you'll be punished under the full force of Arun's guard, then executed." he warned. It was a habit of his, to cast intimidation in order to ensure success. "But you have no reason to worry if you are honest." he said, extending his hand to shake his.

Frederick would shake his hand. "Of course..." He said as he would take his hand back. "I'll try to get in with them, but I'm not sure how that will turn out. I'll get as close as I can too them before I give you information."

"Alright. If anything arrises with the guards, which you might get into trouble, I'll warn you. If I can find you." he said. The captain cast a glance back towards his guards, seeing some of them waiting to speak to him. "i have duties to attend to, but best of luck. The future of Arun may lay in your hands. Carefull not to tell anyone of our agreement, or both our heads will be on the line." he said. The captain cleared his throat and spoke up. "Well then Sherlock, thank you for your offer. We'll look forward to recieving your expertise in our moment of crisis." he said.

"Nice doing business with you Watson. You have yourself a good day." He would nod his head. Then when he left. He would turn back to the scene. He would start to look for any documents that may lead to any answers.

After he left Watson returned to his work as before, starting with tending with his guards reports of finding nothing. And about other things, irrelevant to the situation. The rest of the guards continued to search every crook and cranny of the building, insisting there was a hidden clue somewhere in the walls. But they wouldn't find anything, since they were up against a catious opponent.

"Their wizards right... then where they have towers..." He would look under for secret trap doors on the main floor. "They must have basements..." He said scavenging the area one last time. Maybe searching for this in particular would turn something up.

Hidden somewhere would be a single speck of dark magic. Hidden well, barely undetectable by the skilled magician. Yet the headpiece would prove enough to faintly detect it. Just barely.

He would spot it in just the nick of time. He had almost given up. "Here! Someone come and check this out!" He would announce. Hopefully attracting the attention of a skilled wizard.

Two guards heard and walked over curiously, along with a magician they chose to help them find any magical traces. The magician looked at the floorboards scrutinizingly, Strangely seeing nothing. He stood up tall. "What's the matter?" he asked Frederick.

He rolled his eyes. "It appears you cannot see what I see." He would take out the headress in a ball. "Hold this and tell me what you see."

((A ball?))
The magician took the ball curiously. He then looked back at the floorboards, seeing a glint of purple between the boards. Hardly bigger than a speck, but there. "Odd..." he said. A few more guards joined them to crowd around at the new finding. The wizard looked at the guards. "There is something wedged underneath the boards. It's only letting a spark. If one of you would be so kind as to undo this board?" he asked. A guard with a battle axe stepped forth. The guards backed away to give him space, he shooed the guard away. He raised his axe and smashed it onto the boards, cracking ithe edge carefully. Once he did he set his axe down and knelt to tear the board pieces from the ground, to see what was underneath... There was a strange little purple stone, no bigger than a pebble, hidden in a crevice. The magician stepped forwrd again. "Don't touch it. We don't know what it is." he said. He looked at it carefully, seeing the strange energy that clung around it. He reached forward, then carefully picked it up. It shimmered in the light. He flipped it over. "A magic stone. Used for signalling... the craft of a skilled magician, if it can only be detected by purest energies. I haven't seen one of these in a long time." he said. The stone shone and clicked. The magician was startled. The stone began to click louder. Like a ticking time bomb. The ticks grew frantic.

"Everyone get down!" He said as he grabbed the small stone. Looking to the broken window that he broke last night. He would throw it out in that direction. If it was as he suspected. It would blast down that side of the wall. Though they wouldn't be in the direct blast radius.

The unsuspected guards outside the building yelled as they were blasted away from the area. The guards inside dove for cover. The air was thick with dust from the blast, causing some people to cough. The wizard stepped out of his hidin spot, batting at the cloud with his staff. He looked at Frederick. "Thank you." he said, dusting his robes off. "It was a trap. They must have known we'd be snooping around." he said disgustedly. "But those fools just gave us a clue. Whoever cast that spell is an advanced wizard. A spell with that level of detection protection can only be done by an experienced mage." he said thoughfully.

"I guess so. Now we just need to Identify who. Keep Captain Watson updated. I think I'll take my leave." He said as he would shake the hands of the nearby guards. Taking back his headdress before he loses it. "Thank you gentlemen." He said waving good bye as he would head out back towards The Ring Masters Temple.
