Greed smiled as he said "Hello Jin, i see you placed your soul in your most prized possesion, just as your brother did the same" he looked at Maki " this is jin the owner of the shop"

Greed walked outside with jin and maki. Jin drew her sword and got in her stance

"Come on, you weakling lets end this right now"

"Come on, if you want to prove you are the true owner of the blade come strike me down" she lunged for Maki with her blade held besides he body.

jin spin around and dodged makis blade " lets see how you handle this" he began lunge at maki with her sword and as she continued to lunge it seemed more blades were coming at maki in a multistrike

"Greed! Wait! Dang it! Let's finish this Granny!" Maki said striking back returning every lunge with a jab and every jab with a full throttle hit in return. After what seemed like hours Maki could feel Jin getting weaker.

"You fight good. But I'm still not convinced you're worthy of such a blade," she said breathing heavily.

"What are you all out of breath for? You're already dead!"

"Bite your tongue brat!" said Jin as she moved away from Maki and prepared for her last attack. "If you survive this then you can have Maurda."

"Bring it!" shouted Maki as she quickly wiped the sweat from her brow and stood her ground. Then with a quick smile she ran as fast as she could leaping from side to side to confuse Jin. "Never mind! It's been Broughten!"

With a quick jump and a shout Maki was on top of Jin with Kiljoy straight through Jin's neck.

"Son of a bat! You insulant brat! You bested me ... but how!?!"

Jin stood there with a surprised look on her face then sneered at Maki.

"You cheated," she said pulling Maki's sword from her throat and threw it on the ground. "How the ..."

"Hey you said yourself I bested you, sister!" Maki said with her fists on her side. "There are no rules to combat. It's frag the weak and hurdle the dead. My former master Lee, a skilled swordsman, taught me that."

Jin smiled and offered Maruda to Maki.

"Take care of her and she will take care of you. Despite popular beliefs, this sword was not made from the scales of Bahamut. This sword was made with the remains of his queen slaughtered during the summon wars," Jin said passing on its legacy to Maki. "When I had the chance to meet Bahamut, he was looking to hire a warrior to retrieve his queen. A grand dragon with pearly white scales and a wing span that could cover the planet if she wanted it to. I was hired to free her from Anima's Army and guide her back home. One of the usual odds and end jobs our race is often called upon for. When I got there she was on the verge of death, they have tortured her til she was so weak that the only way I could get her home was to teleport her back to Bahamut. An act that is not so easy to do since Bahamut doesn't stay in one place for very long. However, he waited for his queen ... Maruda. Once we got there, he held her under his wings until she died. I felt so sad that I did not accept his payment and as I prepared to leave his kingdom he reached into her chest and pulled out her heart. He handed it to his smithy who formed it into this sword. He left her heart in my safe keeping until it is possible to bring her back. When the time comes, the wielder of this sword must know to take it back to Bahamut. Only the monks know where to find him for he speaks to his followers in their dreams."

Maki stared at Maurda as it felt the sword was growing hot as it glowed.

Jin smiled as the sword grew brighter in Maki's hands.

"I see Maurda has chosen you to take care of her," Jin said as she faded. "Though Odd... It seems as if she has been expecting you."

Maki panicked at the site of the purple blood. Not sure if it was Greed's or someone elses.

"You can't save someone that doesn't want to be saved," she said her throat swelling with the urge to cry. "Come on, lets' to go to the potion shop."

Maki reached out to help Greed walk, she could feel him getting weaker with every step as he grew heavy on her shoulder. Soon he was too heavy to carry.

"Stay here, I'll go ..." she stopped as what seemed like fourty spirits came from the ground and carried Greed to the potion shop. "Um... thank you."

"No child. Thank you." they said as they carried Greed inside the store.

Once inside Maki sorted through the shelves for a bottle she remembered seeing earlier. Once she found it she rushed to Greed's side and poured it into his mouth.

"This is a regeneration potion," she said then followed it with a small green bottle of health potion. "This will help heal you while you regenerate."

As she watched Greed swallow the potions and began falling into a trance the spirits began to fade.

"Please rest m'lord!"
"Don't you dare die without avenging us Lord."
"Father," said a small child floating back outside. "How much longer til you come see me?"

He could still sense what was going on at the mountain, he noticed Katreas energy was weakening. "he called me a fool for thinking im always right but I wasnt there to kill Dark Tail only distract him to bring Katrea back here. Hes the fool for staying there when it was pointless. His arm is broke and his eyes are messed up....Katrea you only see what you want and nothing else, your clouded by revenge and hatred for dragons" he was still leaned over on the table with tears still coming from his eyes

"Yeah i know it shattered, i can sense what going on there still. chase just made a devastating move against dark tail, i guess my spell did more damage then he thought." He looked at Maki "Calm down Maki, im alright. Im not injured, my ribs are just sore. Ill be fine in a couple of hours once my energy it back." he looked down at his hands which were stained with purple blood " In order to help defeat Dark Tail i will need to use a Ancient Spell. That i will need to get from the temple below the city"
