Color had returned to Vulcan's pale skin and his red eyes. "Alright alright, you did feed me." He looked at her, choosing his words. "There is a cult. They are dastardly bastards, hide away in the darkest part of the forest... well did anyways, most of the area is messed up. I don't even know if they're still alive." he said thoughtfully. "Then again, they've been around for centuries, survived fires and famines. So tell me, little lady, how does someone as small and you plan to tackle century old vampires, hm? You'd be better of goig back to where you came from, the living are far worse off than the dead." he said with an uncaring smirk.

((LOL its ok. Just thought to give a little reminder just in case razz ))
Soturi listened to what he said, "After the battle of Ruin it would be a wonder if they did in fact survive." She packed up most of her things that she had laid out before the vampire had come along and stood again. "There's not much of the living left over the border, those that are, are left fighting the monsters that are left over. I had assumed that those monsters would be roamin around here as well." She looked at him, "After that catastrophe one learns how to avoid the damn things, I figured your kind would be to busy fighting these monsters to mess with a lowely mortal."

Vulcan simply smiled. "Well, of course. We have moreto deal with now, since we've had no way to contact our food source, humans and look alikes to the fact those blasted monsters have eaten most of you off. A number of our kind bave already turned to vampara to the hunger, and more continue to transform. Had you left me here, I would be among the mindless corpses wandering our borders." he said. Vulcan seemed a bit amused at the thought. "Well anyways, have fun with that sweetheart. I doubt you'll last long, as the others, you'll fall." he said nonchalantly. Vulcan yawned. He was still tired...

She smirked, "Well then perhaps I would just be better off burning all of the vampire lands a section at a time sitting back and watching everything die before searching the area. I'm sure it will take care of most of the Vampara scum."

Vulcan laughed amusedly. "You truly are an entertaining human, do as you please. Hm, I just might accompany you." he said. "To collect the loot, of course. Dead vampires and abandoned estates mean a lot of gold, enough to live comfortable for a century." he smirked. "Imagine that. If I'm nice enough I might just protect you from those hungry vampires out there. They have noses that rival bloodhounds, it doesn't take much effort to sniff out a pretty juicy human."

Soturi looked at him with a blank look on her face, Accompanied by a vampire.... Was the only thought she had, it would be a first as far as she was concerned, but whatever, there was nothing she could probably do to stop him from doing so anyway. And besides, being a vampire he was familiar to these lands as she was not. "Do as you wish, I don't loot the dead." How ironic, vampires are undead, but once they had finally been killed they are finally dead.
She began to move out towards the thicker part of the forest, or so she assumed would be the thicker part. Since Ruin destroyed everything there was hardly anything left to make much of a forest. "But if you insist on coming then you will call me Fire Heart." She looked at him, "Not Human."

 ((Hope you don't mind if I randomly start her here)) Nimue walked along the outskirts, having traveled far and fairly new to this land, having just arrived when the fight against Ruin began. She had stayed at the port where her ship had landed and fought there. Then afterwords traveled with the last of the survivors, there were so few, to protect them, to the neighboring village then moved onwards to travel this ruined land. All the while wondering what it had looked like before all the chaos.

Vulcan sighed. "Allright, Fireheart. Then you must call me Redwood. Perhaps when we get more friendly I'll tell you the rest of my name along with yours." he said. Vulcan looked around as they walked with his sword in his sheath. He suddenly stopped...
Not to far from them, only three trees away, were five distorted creatures. They were humanoid, but their faces were ghastly hollow, like a skull, their red eyes peeking. The two creatures had long, elongated limbs and a horrible stench of spoiled blood.
Bulcan grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her behind a tree, placing a finger to his lips.

Emrys & Nimue
Hush child the darkness will rise from the deep.  Emrys walked alongside Nimue, since his head was level with her waist he turned and nudged her. She stopped and looked down at her friend and scratched him behind his ear. "I know, I don't like this place either." She looked around and put her hand on the handle of her scythe that was strapped to her back and settled between her wings. This was a desolate land, she was surprised that they had not even seen a single person yet. She tried to move forward, but again Emrys stopped her, she looked around again and stood perfectly still, He must sense danger somewhere near. She will wait til it either passes, or it arrives.And carry you down into sleep.

She snorted, doubtful that that would ever happen. She was still walking when he stopped, she stopped a few feet away before turning around to face him and was about to say something when he grabbed her by the wrist, What the... He pulled her behind a tree and put a finger to his lips and she just looked at him wondering what the hell was going on. A noise. Then she scrunched her nose at the horrendous stench of spoiled blood and she understood why he had done what he had done. She remained frozen and not say a single word, considering that vampires had very good hearing.

After a few moments of silence Nimue looked about, then sniffed the air for a scent. The one she got was foul and she barred her fangs as she slowly reached for her weapon. It seems that even this land also has its different ranks of vampires. How fortunate that the first ones she meets are the lowest ranks, but the group was a good few yards away, touching Emrys on his head she began to move away back towards the way they came silently and without a sound. It would be better if they could at least get out of the open.Emrys looked up at her when she touched his head then began to stealthily move away, then going into stealth mode as though he were hunting he would follow.

The foul creatures were scavenging what was left of a deer. The deer was completely torn apart, left only bones. They grabbed the bones greedily and stuck it in their jaws to crunch them, tasting nothing. One of them suddenly stopped in the middle of his meal. He listened quietly, then stood on his two feet, rivaling well over 8 feet tall. The others noticed his disturbance and dropped their meals to turn their sickly heads towards the forest. They sensed something there, between the trees. The one that stood straight pointed its head towards the sky and let out an ear piercing screech. It growled and got on its four limbs to shreik at the forest, where Emry and her companion stood. The rest copied its sickly movements as they spread out.

Nimue stopped in her tracks as did Emrys when she heard the shriek, "Well Emrys, looks like we were silent enough." She scratched him on his head, then reached behind her to pull out the scythe and twirled it a bit. She looked ahead, listening carefully as the opponent neared.
She tucked her wings tightly to her back so that they would not get in the way of battle, then gave her own battle cry and ran forward to meet the enemy on the battle ground. She was not one to wait.Emrys looked up and tilted his head, but he understood the instant his mistress pulled out her weapon that it was time to fight. He flattened his ears and made a might roar and charged off into battle alongside his mistress.

Soturi could feel her body go cold at the screach of the foul creatures, but she wouldn't let her body freeze in place, as a warrior she knew better, she swallowed her fear and waited for the worst to happen. And waited, and waited, then she heard what sounded like a battle cry, and then a roar. Were there others out here other than Vulcan and herself?
