I see your issue. The first 100 are for free, you get them automatically. You add the 250 on top of those. So from the first example: bob-comander Additional Skill: Dowsing: 250 (100 Base + 150) Cooking: 100 Black Smithing: 100 Sewing: 100 Alchemy: 200 (100 Base + 100)
The above example only has 250 additional points.

bob-comander Additional Skill: Dowsing: 250 Cooking: 100 Black Smithing: 100 Sewing: 100 Alchemy: 200
Right here, EVERY set already had 100. Dowsing had 100, cooking had 100, black smithing had 100, sewing had 100, and Alchemy had 100. Then, everyone gets(when they start) An additional 250 to distribute. You see? So, he added 150 of that 250 to dowsing, and the left over 100 from that 250, to Alchemy. And when you level up, you get [X] amount of points to distribute as you please. So, I'm guessing, the other profiles you are looking at are of characters that are above level 10, When you hit level 11, you get a couple more points to add to your skill set. EDIT: I posted too late xD whoops. But oh well.

I forgot to ask: how do Alchemists work? ninja Like, what can we use to make alchemy? Crystals? Potion bottles? What materials should I seek out?

Odd Cinderella I forgot to ask: how do Alchemists work? ninja Like, what can we use to make alchemy? Crystals? Potion bottles? What materials should I seek out? It's never really mentioned in the canon. I would assume it's sort of like WoW or Guild wars maybe, you have to hunt down herbs, etc. but then you buy the bottles in town?

As much as I appreciate your help, which you have helped me before, but this time, I'd like an admin to explain this one to me. I have never played an Alchemist, so, referencing other MMOs wouldn't help me at all... sweatdrop
