Vaeri Helltalon "Very nice. Very nice indeed." Veari complimented with a laugh and a smile even clapping lightly as Jarlaxel finished his sweeping bow and little speech. She certainly couldn't help, but give him points for flare. It really was a pity he hadn't been born with mirror scales, he'd have made a fine Mercury dragon in her opinion. "There is only one last thing to take care of before I can depart. Jarlaxel~" And she tested his name on her tongue, her accent giving it a more foriegn sound as she tasted it testing it like one would a blade. "May I see your hand?" She asked holding her own red clawed one out.

Jarlaxel Baenre He eyed her carefully "Only the blind see with their hands, what is it you had in mind?" He was never a trusting sort, he knew how often he used deception to gain an angle on another person. Jarlaxel expected others to try the same with him. "You trued to get me to give you my hand earlier when speaking of out little arrangement, why is that?...." He asked her letting his words hang heavily in the air.

Vaeri Helltalon "You'll have to forgive me if Drow reputation for deceit doesn't proceed you. I'd like to make sure I won't be left to become some Dracoliche's snack while you make off with your prize should things become a bit touch and go." She explained, but still held her hand extended awaiting his own. "It's a very simple enchantment to make sure neither of us tries to put a figurative or literal dagger in each other's backs. I don't need your hand to cast this, but it is how you would say. . .polite to ask for it." Vaeri explained her other hand resting on her hip as she waited for him to make his decision.

Jarlaxel Baenre "Why, do you wish a bonding spell?" He asked her indignantly. "I will not leave to to be charbroiled and eaten for one all important reason. This is my name, my reputation and the reputation of my band at stake here. I would prefer to keep my flawless record, besides there is more than money in it for me when I return to Shazmira. Golden dragons are great lovers." He said with a haughty smile.

Vaeri Helltalon "You had best not. I am not so easily killed and I prefer my scales on cooked." She replied with a threatening growl, perhaps she had warmed to him somewhat, but it was rather clear she didn't trust the drow. At his mention of dragon lovers she let out a derisive snort of amusement. "That certainly explains your silly notion of flirting with me." Vaeri added with a sarcastic shrug. "When do we plan to depart then?" She asked with an arched brow.

Jarlaxel Baenre "We could leave now if you like, I have my ships docked in the harbor." He said nonchalantly as he opened the draw to his bureau and fished out a silver flask from his perfectly folded clothes. "I came to port not just to find you my beauty, and shame on you for saying I only flirt with you because I like dragons. I flirt with you because I find you beautiful and dangerous the best combination there is." When he had finished speaking he took a long draft from his flask. It was a cool drink from his home city it was like wine but sweeter and a little thicker. UT came from the blood red berries or a bush native to the Underdark.

Vaeri Helltalon "And that would also explain why you dare flirt with another dragon when you've got another one waiting on you." She added with a chuckle hardly taken in by his flattery, but she enjoyed it nonetheless. After all who was she to judge what he did in his spare time. "Then again I suppose what is the danger of one lover with claws the size of your head when you can risk the scorn of multiple lovely scaled ladies." Vaeri replied with a chuckle as she headed for the door. "I'll meet you at the harbor in an hour~" She answered as she stepped outside. Before she closed the door though Vaeri added. "My scales are far prettier then any gold dragon's anyway."

Jarlaxel Baenre Jarlaxel laughed hartily as she left. then he began packing his chest for the voyage. It was only a small one since he took the room for only a few days he changed from his street clothes to a vest that showed off his tightly muscled chest and a pair of black pants. He wore his favorite knee knee high dragoon boots. Most importantly of all he wore his large hat with the diametria feather in it. Hoisting the chest on one shoulder he left his room a stack of coins on the dresser paid his tab and he was off down the road, down the pier and on the deck of his flag ship once more. Now they needed their little dragonling and they could be off to purge one more dracolitch and he could claim one more phylactery.

Vaeri Helltalon It hadn't taken Vaeri long to collect her things. She didn't own much and simply tossed the rest of her clothes into a rucksack and tossed it over her shoulder. She took greater care with her leather Alchemy kit and Vail bandolier. Checking she had everything she bid her 'relatives' good bye. Stepping out into the sunlight she made her way towards the docks. At least being on the open see and near an area well known for it's dragons might afford her the rare chance to fly. She however wasn't entirely sure how many of Jarlaxel's men were aware of who they had stopped in the harbor to pick up. Not that it mattered. She could wait till dark, maybe request someone Jarlaxel trusted to take a shift and go on a little 'stroll' in the moonlight. Stepping into the harbor she strained her eyes over the ships. . .not that it was too hard to find the Drow. He pretty much stank of magic at all times and it was easy for her to tail him coming up along side his flag ship. "Permission to board?" She asked with an arched brow and an amused grin.

Jarlaxel Baenre "Permission granted m'lady. You will find your cabin in the aft of the ship. Go down the first flight of stairs first door on your right." EH said mocking the voices of the human captains. It had not taken her long to get her things and get to the ship. He wondered if she was as enthused about the voyage as he was.

Vaeri Helltalon Chuckling she climbed the plankway aboard taking his directions and heading bellow deck where he had directed her. At least she got her own cabin. . .probably for the best. Setting her stuff aside she carefully stored away her alchemy bag and put away her clothes taking a little more time then she needed to fold them. It would take her a little while to get used to the roll and shift of a boat. She hadn't been on one in quite a long time and it made her feel rather nostalgic. Wandering the halls though she headed back for the deck following her nose to track down Jarlaxel where ever he might be.

Jarlaxel Baenre Standing on the rear deck he gave orders to cast off and make way. Then men were excited the Drow crews were happy to see the town disappear on the horizon they wanted an adventure, and a foe worth facing not just moronic street things. They had taken down two dracoliches and a blck dragon on commission. The money they made in bounty was good the money they would make from selling of the dragons parts was better... They had been spending time on the surface getting to know the topography, the climate, and the powers that be. That was all for a little surprise the surface folk may not quite enjoy. For now they collected surface treasure which fetched a premium in the Underdark and Bregan D'aerte grew in wealth an power.

Vaeri Helltalon Watching as the drow scattered this way and that to care to their orders she headed for the rear deck finding Jarlaxel there with ease. Leaning against the railing she watched as the anchor was brought up, the sails loosened ready to be unfurled once they cleared the docks and eventually fully unfurled when they reached the safety of open harbor. Lifiting her head slightly she stared as the wind caught the sail pulling the foreward and towards whatever adventure awaited them. "So. How many know what I am?" She questioned casually not even looking at Jarlaxel. No instead she had let her eyes close, the wind catching her hair and caressing her face, just enjoying to cool see breeze.

Jarlaxel Baenre Jarlaxel smiled at her "my command staff, officers and the like. I was going to give a full brief to the men and women of my command once we are at open sea." He said as he replied between orders to bring the ships on a south eastward heading. Jarlaxel had loved the sea ever since he discovered the wind and surf on his first visit to the surface world.

Vaeri Helltalon Vaeri considered his words carefully glancing over the crew. She had never seen so many drow in her life and had to chuckle at the odd looks the group must have received in port. "That might be wise. I don't fancy having spells flung at me or arrows wasted. They take forever to pick out of my hide~" She replied with a mock scowl and a shiver as if just thinking about it she could shake the little what must seem like toothpicks to her from her hide. "That and it's been a while since I could stretch my wings. If I had a decent spot to get a running start I might even offer you a ride." Vaeri joked with a grin surveying the deck. Using her shape shifting she probably could get herself into the air with little problem. Getting a passenger airborne without damage to the boat might be a touch bit more challenging.
