SO LIEK, TOTALLY
The shadow appears! MENACING. DEADLY.
And the heroes are scrambled and busy! Called together by a sudden terror that strikes the land! Each person doing their own thing starts buzzing messages to others (Obviously by Mizuho's effective messengers, meaning Sheena starts the buzz) and people begin to join in Lloyd's hometown! At least... the ones who are not busy.
O_ O Other heroes, drawn by a twist of fate, happen to appear at that (or some other given location) near the same time, on other random errands and business! Meeting in the war room! (or maybe Zelos's livingroom, sir bud) they begin to discuss matters to fix the situation, possibly by invading or striking at the heart of Niflehiem! Or maybe small things, like gathering summons.
O- O Thats probably a terrible suggestion.

Well the thing is, Cross doesn't draw mana from Aselia, but from memories of Ravnica and Zendikar, since he spent a lot of time as a 'walker on Zendikar and was born on Ravnica.
Also, Chris can only copy what the person knows at the time, and only 1% of it, so if someone learns a new ability, he doesn't learn it until he copies them again. And like I said, I'm iffy about using him and Cross as it stands. The only character I'm certain of is going to be Shinobi.

And Ashton doesn't use mana! Muahahahaha! Unless it would be a better idea to somehow have his symbological special arts use mana in this universe, that is... @Rei: Hmm, perhaps there could be some sort of imbalance in the wind element, or an especially large amount of wind monsters are being affected by Zeal. I don't know. @Jak: So he can copy people's abilities, but only after hitting them a hundred times? EDIT: Behold!

Let's see if I have it now. Let's say a wild witch appears and he hits her once. Does that mean that he can use one of her spells, but it will only have 1% of the power until he attacks more?

It means he can use any of her spells, but only at 1% of her power.
Best example is his training with his captain, Soi Fon. He's sparred with her and copied her fifty times, so he can use any kido or fighting skills she has at 50% of Soi Fon's power. His Shunpo is 50% slower than hers, his kido and Shunko are 50% less powerful, etc. Also, if he copies multiple people with the same spell/ability, they stack, ie. He copies Zelos and Kratos, and can use Light Spear Cannon at the combined copy level. So if he copied each of them to 100%, he'd be able to use any moves they share at twice their power, in theory. He hasn't gotten far enough for that though.

@Jak: Okay, that makes it a LOT clearer now. Then that is also to say if he copies Kratos and Zelos at 50%, then Light Spear Cannon would be at 100% power?
Yeah that...still puts me in the middle. I'm kind of uneasy that it's an instant copy of all of one's abilities, but there's still work to be done to get them to full power. It'd all depend on how many hits he can land in a fight, and how often we'll have battles over the course of the RP.
And about the mana thing...oh. Just oh. o_o I don't mind a character having a lot of spells as long as each one isn't super powerful by default, but judging by how much mana you say they use...I'm guessing they kinda are? sweatdrop
