I added some new photo links in my first post.

I have now put in my fairytale wedding dress in the past projects and have put the current dress in the current projects. I also posted a photo of the complete advent tree. Finished it just after Christmas this year. Typical!
It has a very wide skirt to allow for a dragging train line. I think.... O_o. I will see when I am finished... if I finish.

I am going to have to buy another skirt slip for this one to give it a nice shape when it is on the model.

The new dress looks like it will be beautiful when done!
The Fairytale dress is so pretty...

Thanks~

I have to say that even though the fairytale dress nearly made me a little crazy - I was going at a bit of a slow pace then had a mad weekend to finish it before the weekend of a competition - I do think it might be one of my favourite projects. It has an elegance about it.

I am really into elegant looking things at the moment. They are always really intricate or time consuming but do look good when finsihed. I really like the vintage patterns for dresses and things. I just can't find any modern equivalents. Current knitting and crochet patterns either consist of cable jumpers or lace pattern jumpers which just don't appeal to me. There is a bit of a revival in the 1940s look as well but I like the 60s / 70s fashion styles >.<

I am tempted to try a golden party dress when I finish this wedding dress. I am always a bit nervous about knitting such a bit project as any mistake will show and I am not expert at picking up dropped stitches. I haven't knitted a dress yet and the fact that it is in a golden thread makes it more appealing. It is that or a wendy multi-needle wedding dress. A multi-needle is one of those flower looms. That pattern's photo is pretty appealing. I saw a copy of the pattern sell for £31 on ebay on Thursday. I never realised the patterns I had were so valuable! So much choice!

Thing is: I am looking for my next project before I even get through the current one. Typical crafter approach XD

Hmm.. this post was a bit longer than originally planned... then again I have digressed a lot into the random craft thoughts that popped into my head as I was typing!

Oh my. That dress is amazing! I myself have a soft spot for knitted lingerie in more of a vintage style, though I haven't been able to afford the yarn and pattern for something like that yet. Someday though!

I have patterns that I've found that I will actually do on that mythical "Someday..."
Most of them are beautiful, and require a ton of yarn, and more than likely time! But...Someday! I will get to them.

I've actually drifted from the land of yarn craft and have begun dress making! I've made myself 2 waistcoats and have made a lady's halter neck waistcoat. I thought I would bite the bullet and am now making an evening dress. Such fun! The wedding dress still remains half finished! Typical!
