"Well, I normally deal in currency, something that is either accepted throughout the system or easily converted over," Arllien said, "But, as this job require no killing, and, therefore, a lessened danger factor, I'm willing to work for whatever you're willing to offer, if I find it sufficient."

"Actually, it will be more dangerous. We will kill if necessary. My plan is to break into one of their information hubs and figure out from there what to do." said Shadan, "As for payment, I do have some unique weaponry and gagetry you may find useful in your later missions. Perhaps a cloaking device."

"Cloaking?" Arllien asked, "You clearly underestimate my abilities, I don't need cloaking."
"But, please, sneaking into places that are likely heavily guarded, that's in my particular skill set." Arllien said. "As for unique gadgets and weapons, you'll have to get a bit more specific than that."

"It's not that I underestimate you, but every advantage you can get is good. And also, I'd have to grab a full ship manifest to tell you all I have. Tell me a device or weapon function that you might need. Then I'll tell you if I have a device similar to that." said Shadan.

"We don't usually trade in weapons or equipment." Arllien said, "My race has sufficient for what we need, I don't need to get held back with the unnecessary. You'll have to find something else to offer me." Arllien said, coldly.

"Now, Arllien, don't be so cold." Jones said, "This man is willing to show us his culture, the least we could do is trade a little information with him."
Jones then turned back to Shadan, "It may not pertain to their leader, exactly, but I do know a secret of this planet's military, one not even all of their soldiers know about." He said dramatically.

"Well then, I'm very limited after that. I operate on the barter system Arllien, I don't possess any currency." explained Shadan and then after hearing what Jones said, he turned around in shock, "Wait, Jones, you know the secret of their military, what is it?"

Jones was happy that he got Shadan's attention with that statement, but he appeared very serious and somber, "Well, it seems the military has something, a weapon, a very powerful weapon. I don't know how to describe it, but it's very strong, almost unstoppable. It's hidden in a secret Saragan military base, I don't yet know how they intend to use it, or if they even can, but if they figure it out, it will be incredibly dangerous. I could make sure they can't use this weapon if you can get me close to it." Jones explained.

"I agree, if this weapon is truly as dangerous as you say, we cannot let them use it against other planets. First, we'll need to find the base. That would involve breaking into a information hub still, except now we have to find one with top secret files. Do you know any government buildings here?" asked Shadan

"I'm not just doing this for free." Arllien said, "So there better be something worth while in it for me." Arllien listened to the conversation about a weapon, he thought he knew what Jones was referencing, it would be quite devastating in the off chance that the people of Saraga managed to activate and control it, but it was still not his problem.

"I'm not intimately familiar," Jones said, "But I could probably find out, given enough time and the proper resources. I do think there is some government building out here in the desert...I'm just not entirely sure of how to get to it." Jones tried to remember, he had seen where they took it, but he couldn't remember exactly where, especially in the ever-shifting sands of the desert.
Jones then turned his attention to Arllien, "Well, if you help us locate and disable this weapon, then I will compensate you with something, you know I'm always good for it." He said with a smile.

"Oh, Arllien, now that I think of it, there is one other substance I give you. It's that weird yellow colored metal that the humans like so much. I think they call it gold. I could give you about 40 bars if you like." said Shadan, "Wait, I think I heard them talk about a Spire or something. It sounded like their leader's hq. I guess we should attempt to figure out its location. But first, we'll need to recover my friend. He only has a half hour to get out of the city."

Arllien let out a thoughtful "Hm..." at Shadan's offer, gold was an element, a rare one, supposedly, and is seen as very valuable in some places. It was kind of widely available now, but it still wasn't exactly worthless.
After Shadan brought up the help his friend needed, he was brought to realize something, "Weren't we here to shut down some kind of AI on this ship?" He asked.

"Oh yeah," said Shadan turning around to the storage device. However, while they had been talking none of them had noticed that a turret had emerged from the top of the roof and was pointing at Shadan. "Oh, son of a b***h!"
