Lexi took the list and pondered at each one. Chimeras were never taught how to cook, so thats out of the question...Ah, maybe house keeper is within my reach. She looked at the hostess and the girl next to her, she didn't look like she was in a happy mood. She pulled up a chair and waited until the hostess was finished.

Kiara sat high in a tree, humming a simple tune and drawing in her sketchbook. The cafe had been pretty slow lately and she didn't think business would be picking up any time soon. She had been so preoccupied that she hadn't noticed the pleathera of people that had recently arrived at the cafe. She continued to hum and draw. Her mind was in one of her books. It was the most beautiful love story she had read so far. She wondered what it was like to love. She looked up from her sketchpad and gazed at the ocean, her hair perfectly framed her face. She sighed and leaned her back against the tree, a single bare foot dangled off the branch.

Kiami became very confused as the girl stood up and walked back outside without even responding. She couldn't recall if anyone had ever done that before. It was definitely strange.

Deciding it best to just move on, Kiami returned her attention to the girl at the front desk. "Have you decided on a position?" She asked, returning to her post at the desk. She waited patiently for the girl to answer.

VerDain Paced a little bit. Her tail peaked out the bottom of the jacket. It switched from side to side. The pacing wasnt working so she looked around her for a moment to see if anyone was looking her way. She didnt see anyone. She pushed the seleve up on her jacket and bit the meat of her hand thast was between her thumb and wrist. The pain woke her almost imedately. She let go of herself and then started back inside.
She calmly walked to the counter and sat down. "I appologize for my swift absence." She looked at the food and drinks and back to Kiami. "May I have a black cofe and a glass of cream. Also some sugar please?" She was very picky about how much sugar and cream went in her coffee. "Also do you have any sandwiches." Sweets did not seem like a good idea to her at the moment.

Lexi took the keys,"Thank you, I won't let you down." She bowed and exited. First, she went to the basement to familiarize herself with the items. She was only used as a maid when she was created, so she did have experience. She turned the lock and heard a small 'click'. She swung the door open to reveal a small room with all the essential things she would need: brooms, water, buckets, and everything else needed. Then she stepped up the stairs to her room. Once again, she opened the door to reveal a bright room with tall windows. Lexi saw her bed, a canopy bed with pink curtains. There was a bathroom at the left side of the room, and a small closet on the right. She sat down on her bed and looked outside. Lexi smiled as she took in the graceful world around her.

Shadu had gone upstairs to find her room, and once she had opened the door She had been rendered speechless. The room was the very definition of zan, from the small dragon fountains to the canopy bed made with what looked to be soft silk sheets and shrouded in light silken curtains. the room looked to have been pulled from a Japanese garden itself.
sitting on the bed, she smiled and closed her eyes. resting.

"What?" she asked and noticed her cleaning up the blood. "Ah yes im fine. Just a little wound," she lifted her sleve to show Kiami the bite mark that was healing quickly. "By the way you wouldnt happen to know of any reasonably priced inns in this area would you?" She sighed and took a drink of her coffee flavored cream. "It looks like im going to be in ton for a while."
VerDain was actually on two different jobs. She was looking for someone for a guy who claimed himself a demon lord. He said something about wanting her to find his little brother and keep him distracted. Either that or just kill him. The demon hadnt seemed to care which she wanted to do. He paid half in advance so she was content.
Another job she was on was finding an artifact. Yep and thats was almost all that employer could or would tell her about it.
So she was in this beach side place to find an object she knew practically nothing about. Oh yeah and hunt down a demons brother and probably kill him.
She took a drink of her cream and sighed, "This sucks."
