She smiled softly when he barked before running the tips of her fingers long his chin and then the top of his head, being gentle. A twig cracked not too far from them and then a bullet was fired without warning. She didn't have a chance to move, though the person hadn't been aiming at her. They had been aiming at the dog.

The dog was indeed hit, letting out a yelp as blood started to stain its fur. The dog quickly jumped into the water, making the man wake up. He gripped his shoulder, growling softly. He had a wound that he had earned in Valeria's dream. He quickly got up and started bandaging up his wound, growling in pain.

Valeria looked at the hunter in horror before she jumped into the water after the dog to save it but it wasn't there anymore. Soaking wet, she got out and looked at the hunter who now had more than one person next to him. Shivering from being in the cool water, she looked at them with anger in her eyes. Pulling out the knife that she had, she motioned for them to come closer before it became a full blown fight. Valeria may have been small but she used that to her advantage. She didn't have a lot of muscle either, but she could fight.. she had learned through the years of living as an outcast.. a rebel. The scenery changed to a cement building with no windows and barely any light. It had turned into another nightmare.

The Dream Walker gripped his shoulder more before slipping on a jacket and going to Valeria. He gently shook her. "Miss. Miss. Miss, please wake up. You're having a bad dream."

Blood coated the floor and she could probably drown in it since it was slowly rising. Something tapped her shoulder and she turned but no one was there. Strange whispers could be heard and fear was starting to take over her. She wanted to get out of there. A scream was heard in the distance and her heart was racing. The next moment, she felt claws dig into her shoulder and she woke up with a start. She had felt her flesh being ripped apart. Her eyes were wide and she had woke up in a cold sweat. Valeria had almost pulled out her knife and pinned him down but she had realized who it was at the last moment. Running a hand over her face, she shivered.
Why did this always happen to her? Shaking a bit, she sat up. She didn't know if she had been screaming and that's why he had come.. she could only hope it didn't happen again. "Thank you.. for waking me up." she told him before she looked over at him.

Valeria, in her struggle to wake, had slammed her hand into his injured shoulder, making him cringe. But he put off the pain in time for him to hide it from her sight. "You're quite welcome." he said, getting back up and heading back to his room, hoping none of the blood was seeping through his clothes.

When he got up she couldn't help but notice the red stain of blood on his jacket. It wasn't big but it was still there. She could smell iron and copper in the air as well and that was only caused by blood these days. Getting up quickly, she grabbed his wrist gently. "What's wrong with your shoulder?" she asked him, her voice low. "I can help." she told him.. after all he had given her a place to sleep and food.

He hissed in pain as she grabbed his wrist, and subsequently tugged his arm. He gripped his shoulder, before glancing at her. He was going to have to expose himself. He gulped a little and slowly slipped off his jacket. He undid the bandages slowly, revealing the wound her dream had given him.

She frowned at the wound, it reminded her of the dog, but there was no way it could be him.. it was just.. how did he get wounded anyway? Sighing, she lead him over to the comforter, gesturing for him to sit down. Going back into the kitchen, she let the water run in the sink after she had found a big bowl and grabbed a clean towel. She knew where water came from and a few other things about kitchens but that was it. Coming back to him with the bowl of hot water, she sat down in front of him, pulling out a small bottle of alcohol that she had to disinfect the wound.
Applying it to his wound gently, she then washed away the blood with the clean towel and warm water. She concentrated on the wound, trying to not think about anything else. It was a bullet wound from what she could tell and it had go through his shoulder. "Where are the clean bandages?" she asked him, her voice serious at the moment though her eyes showed a bit of concern.

He hissed and grunted in pain when he needed to before she asked about the bandages. "Top drawer, dresser." he muttered. The alcohol was starting to burn pretty bad, making it hard for him to talk. He hoped she wouldn't make the connection. Then it would raise panic and he'd have to go. Leave this city with Luka and find somewhere else to live.

Going and getting the bandages quickly, she then came back after putting some padding on each side of the wound. She slowly wrapped the bandages around his shoulder, trying to be as gentle as possible. Sighing once she was done she tied the loose ends and the made sure it wasn't too tight. "You should take better care of yourself." she whispered before moving away from him since she had been pretty close. Picking up his dirty jacket, she looked at the blood on it.
She would ask all the questions that she had later on.. he was still in pain and sleep would be the best thing for him at the moment. Hiding her small bottle of alcohol again, she then folded his jacket. "Do you have a place to wash this?" she would burn the part that had blood on it otherwise.

The injured man eased himself to lay down. Rest seemed like a great thing about now. "I just wash things in the sink." he murmured, his mind already starting to fog over with sleep. His eyes slowly slid closed, him fighting the whole time, but he couldn't help but be forced to sleep. Soon he was out like a light on the comforter, next to the warm fire.

Covering him with the other half of the comforter once he lay down. She then moved back to the kitchen and let the water that she had used down into the sink. Once it was gone, she began to wash his jacket, making sure it was clean. She then did the same thing with her shoes and jacket as well, being careful to not use too much water though. Hanging everything up by the fire to dry, she then sat down not too far from him to make sure that he was alright while he slept.

His sleep was fit and calm, free of nightmares, or even dreams for that matter. After some time he began to wake, groaning softly. The man made an effort to sit up, but a shocking pain in his shoulder told him no. He eased himself back down, finding himself wrapped in the comforter and his shoulder taken care of.

Watching him sit up after quite some time, she sighed softly. "Do you want something to drink or eat?" she asked him, ready to make or get something if needed. He need to keep up his immune system to make sure he didn't get sick in this weakened state.
