Turns out it wasn't a rod bearing. It was some piston noise caused by short cylinder sleeves.
Next up:
Centerforce dual friction clutch - Ordered two days ago
The throwout bearing is going out so the clutch isn't fully disengaging anymore.

New rotors and pads ordered. Clutch is here and is getting installed next week sometime. I also did the ram-air mod last night. I must say, you definitely notice a difference, it's like the engine isn't choking anymore at higher rpm.

Well, it was $2000 for the stroker kit and $1700 for the shop to machine all the parts, port the heads, bore the cylinders, etc. The pilot bearing dissintegrated so I have to pull the tranny and clutch off, while I'm doing that I'm just going to replace the clutch with a beefier one, that was like $350. I burned my brakes out slowing down from 150 and gouged my front rotors, new rotors were $200, ceramic pads were $100 for all four wheels. I'm going for around 700-750whp on a D1 Procharger with ET's in the low 10's while still being streetable. The Procharger kit costs $3000, I'm going to need a new rearend, the Moser 12-bolt costs $2500, I'm assuming the 9inch will cost somewhere around there. So, so far I'm at around $9850.

I've discovered that the new Mustangs are still slow. One tried racing me a few days ago, we were pretty even in 1st but when I got into 2nd I walked right past him. My car is still pretty much stock expect for the intake lid and ram air mod so it's not like it was a stock Mustang vs a super modded Camaro. Other than that I'm still saving up for the stroker kit.
