"Huh, almost all the teacher here have a partner." Tsumi replied. Tsumi went to her bag and pulled out the egg. It was black with silver and purple dots. It was almost as big as Tsumi head. " I'm going to have a partner soon", Tsumi said as she smiled and hugged the egg to her chest. She could feel the heatbeat of the little creature inside. The creature's heart beated in time with her own.

" I guess they could be, but they can also be a big help especially when you're in a battle.", Tsumi said. She cocked her head to the side hearing something or someone nearby.

"I was wondering if you saw the Minos..." Aénir wondered at the tentative nature of this student. She didn't think she was that scary... "You're not in trouble."

This is not going to be an easy year for me... Aénir remembered a friend who was similar to Silva. He didn't talk much either... How did I get through to them....?

After a moment, Aénir looked to the clock. She figured it wouldn't hurt to get started now. If students walked in late, then they could always catch up.
"I think we are all that will be coming today." She stood up and moved to the front of the classroom, picking up a piece of chalk and tossing it in her hand as she turned to face the students. "First question: What is your experience so far with magic and magical theory?"

It was a start. "Magical theory is understanding how the magic works."
Aénir turned to the board and drew out a rough sketch of a summoning circle, unlabeled and clear. "For instance, the Minos summoning you just did. Because it was a smaller summon it did not require as much energy or focus as a larger summon would."
She turned again to face the two students. "Let's say you wanted to summon a skeleton. Because this summon is necromatic in nature, one would not only need to specify that in the circle, but focus their energy in bringing that skeleton up. Depending on the skeleton in question and how much power one wanted to give that creature is how much energy it would take from the caster."
She tapped the chalkboard.

"The idea is similar with most of the magics. The more you wish to do, the more energy it will take. Granted, the better a caster becomes is wholly dependent upon how much they practice, and expand their capacity to use magic."
The dark mage picked up the eraser and started to wipe off the circle. "Any questions so far?"

"With summoning, a circle is a convenient way to start and is flexible to work with." Aénir brushed her hands together. "Most magics though are flexible and take on the shape that the caster wishes it."
