GaiaOnline was made so people around the world can meet other people.
The parents might think it's a place where the child(s) can get away for a few or more hours and cyber with other people that they don't know O_o I think that's disgusting xD
Or... The parents think that GaiaOnline is stupid in the first place and don't get why their child(s) think it's "cool" or "fun". Really... all we do (most of us) is play BootyGrab, Zomg, other games, chat in forums, whatever. We don't all ******** cyber >:O So Don't Shut GaiaOnline Down!

there no reason to ban gaia thats entirely stupid and besides gaias like my life mrgreen its has like everything except food and a bed and when your here who cares about all thats stuff

ll iVaxon ll OK people, this is my opinion... the only thing i can see parents having a problem with is Gaia Cash... think about it... parents dont like the fact that kids would spend their money on some online thing, so they decide to be rid of it... i dont think tthis is the answer. but some thing does need to be done about how things are set up... kids need to learn how to spend their money logically... not blowing it on everything and anything... i agree but y not just get rid of the Gaia Cash option. theres nothing really worng with gaia and lyk most ppl said its stupid that parents think they can just get rid of something kids love and not expect a riot.....i wonder what the parents(that vote 4 it) kids r doing.............then again maybe i dnt

I've been on Gaia for about 8 years, and I love gaia to death. But when my aunt comes up to my brother, and I saying "My friend just banned his daughter from that site you guys go on. I think it's called gaia. All gaia is, is a site to post dirty pictures of yourself, and talk dirty, why do you two still go on it? I mean I know you're old enough but really?"
So I don't know what the hell my Aunt's friend saw of gaia, or who the hell know what his daughter is doing on here. But I have never seen any of the things that she described to me above. I mean I don't know why people find it necessary to broadcast themselves like that in the first place.
When Gaia first started there was this thing called "Gaia Personals" and that is where you could find someone to date, and crap like that. Gaia obvious thought people took that way to serious and decided to discontinue it.
But I mean Parents are getting the wrong ideas from this site because their children find some need to do stupid stuff on the Internet.

MY HONEST OPINION:
First of all, these folks can't actually do away with Gaia altogether no matter how much they whine. The site is supposed to be PG13 appropriate, but that doesn't mean much older users get on- respectable people with families, lives, jobs, etc. What they try to do may affect younger members of Gaia (and I'm doubting even that), but it won't have enough of an effect to stop Gaia altogether. Period.
Second of all, they can moan and complain all they want about how Gaia is so inappropriate, but I started Gaia when I was 13 or 14. I never cybered, and I was never bothered by cyberers. They're reportable. You can add idiots to ignore if they try to harass you about it. You can control how you conduct yourself and you do not have to put up with people who don't know how to on this site. Children who don't know how to go about all ^this^, shouldn't be here. That's not Gaia's fault, it's the parent's.
If their children are the ones acting like idiots online, I guess their children are the ones who need watching over, or taken offline altogether. Parents like to pretend like they have an idea what their kids are doing when they really don't. I can't see someone who actually knows a thing or two about Gaia signing any petition against it. Some people may dislike it and that's their mindset, but really now? A petition? It sounds like some old moms, dads, and grandparents got on and failed like some noobs do, and never gave it a chance after that.
It's additedly extremely lame what these people are trying to do, but I don't feel threatened by this in the slightest. People who wanna rag on Gaia have nothing better to do with their time. If they really wanted do some good in the world, I'm sure they could find some actually productive means of doing so. Yep, that's about all I gotta say on it atm.

Actually, the more I read over this gaiaonlinesucks.com bull, it seriously seems like someone failed at Gaia and decided to pull the worst troll ever. This fool will get NOwhere with this, I garuntee it. If the overseers (or main admins) of Gaia really wanted to, I bet they could sue this loser for trying to slander the name of their website. Not even joking, and I would love to see it.
