when you bless a certain object ,what you do is cast the circle in dociel (sp) and then pray over it...I need to know this..likei say i am not that smart.

personally i just stake homemade majick water & sprinkle it over the object imagining the water washing the energies away.

thank you biggrin biggrin biggrin !!!!!!!!

I added a concencration ritual to this thread that I think could also answer your question as well.

Concencrating Ritual Tools (longer version)

1. Depending on the tool, you may want to wash it with soap and water. The Chalice could be cleansed physically this way- but the Athame you'd want to only whip it with a damp cloth. Same thing with other tools.

2. After you've cleansed it physically you can bless it with the elements.
For this you will need:
-A candle.
-incense [if possible sandelwood]
-holy water.
-salt.

3. Light the incense and candle. Take some time to calm yourself- ground and center.

4. To bless the tool- first pass it through the incense smoke, say:
"I bless this tool with Air so free,
As I will, so mote it be!"
-Pass the tool through the candle flame and say:
"I bless this tool with flaming fire that is free,
As I will, so mote it be!"
-Sprinkle the holy water onto the tool and say:
"I bless this tool with water that is holy,
As I will, so mote it be!"
-Sprinkle the tool with the salt and say:
"I bless this tool with salt worthy,
As I will, so mote it be!"

5. Hold the tool close to you and say:
"This tool is mine, I work with thee,
It does my will and it help's me.
It works my magick as I please,
As I will, so mote it be."

6. Once you've blessed the tool with all of the elements and empowered it for magickal work- it is now time to devote it to the God and Goddess. Devoting it to the God and Goddess should be done on the full moon, but sometimes that's not so easy. If you wish to wait until the full moon you can, if not- that is fine too. This is also how to concencrate the tool. You could do this on a seperate day under the full moon or right after your blessing. Hold the tool up and bow your head. present it to the God and Goddess and say:
"Great God and Goddess, hear my plea.
Please be here now with me,
I dedicate this tool now to you.
To your work- old and new.
Please lend your strength, power, and might.
Give this tool your love and light.
Please bless this tool that I offer to thee.
As I will, so mote it be."

7. Once the tool is blessed, devoted, and concencrated, it should be wraped in linen to keep vibrations from others away. If you are doing this to your Athame, the sheath should be enough to protect it so there will be no need to wrap it. The tool is now ready for magickal use.
