eX-GIRL: I Love them.
Here is their site in english. Out of the group I love Chapple's drumming skills. Kirilola's voice can sometimes get as annoying as Kana but then again no one said they were going to sing perfect. I'd have to say Pretty you Ugly is my favorite song on their new CD Endangered Species. Also, HAO HAO on Kero!Kero!Kero their third album is good too. I wanted to go to the Atlanta show but my mom bailed out on me at the last minute so I didn't have a ride. I want them to come closer than Atlanta though. At least somewhere in central Florida.
Holy lord! I'm not the only fan around here!!! I saw them when they stopped in SLC (God only knows why they did that, though XD). I caught Kirilola's pic! Anyway, my friend thinks Chapple is animatronic...she doesn't really move much while playing, and just stares in the same direction the whole time. It's really creepy. XD

One of my friends from Batsu went to the show. She told me the same thing that she looked like a robot. I got to see those pictures that she took [Extra Chapple close ups for me!] and I search like crazy everywhere else but It's hard to find eX-GIRL pictures! I have been dying to make an eX-GIRL layout for my blog. I guess I can use the ones on their site. I found out about them too late though so I am missing a few of their singles that are sold out and the older albums. I have their latest album and the third album too. They are such a great band I wonder why when I mention them people give me the "o_O" look. Then I usually just send them a few songs from my CDs and they are hooked too. It's about time I found someone who knows about these three girls. And, I am envious you got to see them live.

They are SO much fun to see live. I took a bunch of piccies, too...didn't want to forget. But really, their music is just so much fun!!! I am still in LOVE with their new album. I actually heard about them playing live here the day before it happened...luckily I had money at that time. I think what kind of scares people away is their name...ex-girl? Sex change, anyone? XD

When I saw their name, I thought of that. xD
I love their costumes or stage dress or whatever you want to call it. Their stage set-ups are awesome too. Their taste is just fun and cool. Plus, their lyrics kick a**.

Their little MC things in lives are cute. "Have you bought our album yet? (Knowing full well that things don't go on sale until after the live.) You haven't? :cri face: :cri face: :cri face:" Cutest thing ever.

Today we had to do some assignment on the computer researching prices for CDs on Target or Wal-Mart sites. I just thought for fun I'd look up eX-GIRL. To my surprise they carry them and their past CDs. I am so buying their first and second albums now. I could give less if they over charge.

I did find some Noodle songs on a random rotation site. I like their sound and their songs are interesting. Now, I need to gather more information on them. I have always favored the Female Japanese Rock bands over the males. Sure, the guys have the "Eye candy" factor but those girls can look just as good if not better.

I've never really cared if they're male or female...just as long as they make good music.

I've always been slightly bias to girls than guys. I'm the same way with books. I like the main character to be a girl. It just makes it easier to relate to in certain situations.

Yeah....even in books, male/female has never really mattered to me.

i really perfer guys over girls but recently a few of my friends have been giving me really catchy music with female vocalists. ( i love my friends) anyway, my all time favorite is shiina ringo. other than her, i dont know...

I think a lot of female vocalists have annoying voices. It's why I like Chara.

With this post, forum is PWNED. Finished.

On the note of singing along, I actually tend to have an easier time with men. xd

but anyway. I don't usually like the voices of Japanese women, they sound too childish and young. Obviously there are exceptions [Shiina Ringo. *pant* Yoko Kanno. *heart*] but that's usually the case, I think.

However, I'm excited to try out those on the list. x3 I have head Kilhi+Ice, one song, and it was um.. well, they weren't singing up high, I can say that.

I didn't see OLIVIA on the list, but I was reading it last night. so. sweatdrop

and I don't know if Globe counts, but.. I love Globe. :O

now that I am back at the place of fast internet, I can actually upload the jrock that I've been saying I would. *will burn a data cd tonight*

I would say that globe and pizzicato five are both pop; from what I've heard about cocco I was under the impression that she is also pop.
Bonnie Pink is... acoustic pop rock, I guess, she's really good.
arai akino is very very soft lovely warm music... wonderful to listen to in the bath. definitely not jrock.

the girl who runs happy fun time likes d[di:], she's posted stuff of theirs before. (Like the PV from which her site got its name. I downloaded it, but I don't have room to upload it anywhere.)
Really, just try to check as many mp3 rotation sites as possible if you're scouting for music.
I have at least two inugami circus dan mp3s and several by Seagull Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her. SSKHKH has a bit of an 80s garage band sound from what I've heard; verrrry repetitive, but catchy. All the songs I've heard have been in English.
And I have to agree that Shiina Ringo rocks harder than anyone. Even if she occassionally jazzes, pops, or scats... I think that's part of the reason why she rocks so hard.

Yoko Kanno is a composer....the people singing are usually bigger pop people, like Maya Sakamoto....

I wouldn't call Pizzicato Five pop...they may have a 60's groove in most of their songs, but they're not all like that.
