Lunarstar worriedly paced. They had lost Foxclaw this past moon too, and wondered what was happening. According to what a few cats had heard from rumor, NightClan had recently suffered too. She briefly wondered if she should visit Bloodstar to discuss this.
Grayfur was shocked.
"Oh great StarClan!" She gasped. "She was so young! This shouldn't have happened!"
The elder placed a stiff paw on Sunpaw's unmoving body. It was cold, much too cold.

Scarletfire looked down sadly. "She was going to be a good warrior one day, I knew it." She mewed solemnly to Lunarstar.
Thornpelt shed a tear. "Is this death my fault?" He asked. "Is it because I was worried over a thorn that she died." Thornpelt ignored Grayfur's words and bent his head down to press his nose in her dead body. The image of her burial flashed violently through his head.

"Perhaps we should discuss this with Bloodstar?" She asked her deputy.

Scarletfire mewed, "Possibly, we should also mention it to the other clans too, to see if this has happened to them. We should discuss this with Bloodstar, to see if her point of view can help make the situation clearer."

Lunarstar sat down next to her deputy. "Perhaps..." She mewed thoughtfully to herself. "Let's gather up a patrol and go to NightClan. "How about Webpaw, Bumbleroot, Applepaw, Larkpaw, Berrydapple, Dawnpaw, and Tigerlily? We'll need the medicine cats for NightClan to believe that we aren't attacking them." Scarletfire nodded her head. "I'll gather the cats chosen for the patrol right now." She stood and padded away towards Applepaw. Scarletfire lightly tapped her on the shoulder. "Applepaw, she mewed kindly, your going to be on a patrol to Nightclan, tell Larkpaw and Webpaw that they are going too."

Applepaw lifted her head and she nodded. "Alright Scarletfire." She meowed. Applepaw scented the air, and then detected Webpaw's and Larkpaw's scent, and she ran towards them.

Scarletfire turned her head in pursuit for Berrydapple and Bumbleroot. There they are. She ran over to them and explained what that they were on the patrol. Now I just have to tell Tigerlily and Dawnpaw. Scarletfire padded over towards Tigerlily and her apprentice. "Tigerlily, Dawnpaw Lunarstar wants you both to come a patrol to Nightclan to make sure they know we are not a threat." She mewed calmly. She locked eyes with Tigerlily, hoping she whould understand why they needed to come.

Lunarstar looked at the camp. A pang of sadness hit her. She felt a bit guilty about not sitting vigil for Sunpaw. She shook her head, as if dismissing the negative thoughts. I'll do it when I get back, She thought to herself. I'm sure that Sunpaw would want her Clan cared for. Applepaw pushed all of her thoughts away, until they were blank. Then, she spotted the cats and she meowed, "Webpaw, Larkpaw, we're going on a patrol to NightClan's camp." She meowed.

Larkpaw looked up. "Oh, really?" She mewed, getting excited. She flexed her claws. "Is this a battle patrol?"

((Umm... How exactly would Applepaw know what the patrol is for? Unless... {Dramatic pause} She was eavesdropping. {Large *Gasp*})) Scarletfire broke away from Tigerlily's gaze and padded back to Lunarstar. "Lunarstar I told them that they are on the patrol, I believe we will be able to set out soon." She mewed with confidence. Thornpelt mewed softly, " Its just a terrble thing that happened to that young un'. She would have made a great warrior." He stared down sadly at Sunpaw's broken, unmoving body.
