Abel blinked in surprise as Osiris's new slave hit him. His cheek stung like hell, a feeling he had never felt before even given his copious experience with being slapped by the opposite sex.

"Cheeky little brat, aren't you?" He said with amusement. "Shouldn't you be licking my brother's feet or something? God knows they need a good wash."

He stepped forward, leaning down to whisper in the girl's ear.

"Relax. I'm not going to hurt her. Or you for that matter. I just like to...have fun. That's allowed, right? Especially if I'm going to own one of these girls."



Osiris, secretly proud of Raine's rather impressive hit, stomped forward and yanked Abel away from her.

"Get near her again and I will rip your throat out," he hissed dangerously in his brother's face. Abel just laughed and pulled Osiris's hand off his shirt. Osiris resisted the urge to punch him, considering it was techinically breaking the law to hit a duke (something he wasn't going to tell Raine).

Abel brushed down his shirt and smirked at the two remaining girls. "Let's see...If I cause your girl pain, then that'd hurt you, right, Osiris?" He said casually. "Oh relax. It's not like I'd physically hurt any of them." He smiled at Raine. "Tell me, girl. Which one would it hurt you the most to lose?"

((Abel will eventually turn into a good guy...I hope))

Abel laughed at her. "She's a fiery one," he said to Osiris. "Better keep her on a tight leash." Osiris gritted his teeth, but he didn't dare oppose his brother any more than he already had.

Another man had come in and was speaking to one of the free girls. Abel was getting sick of just waiting around so he pointed to the clumsy one that had gotten hurt earlier.

"I'll take that one. Is that okay with you, old woman?"

Osiris gasped when he saw the blood dripping from her hands. He threw himself to his knees in front of her and forced her to unclench her fists.

"Don't," he said softly to her while Abel watched in amusement. "I know how you feel...But there's nothing you can do. He's got too much power over this whole land, including us. Opposing him can get you killed. I refuse to let that happen."

But what about the girl Abel wanted? What would happen to her? Osiris knew how much Raine cared about her, and he didn't want to see Raine sad if the girl suffered. But what could he possibly do?

Lovies felt bad she had to depend on others alot and she felt like she had acted like a baby well she was the youngest there she looked in surprise when the man pointed to her she was happy she was chosen but she was curious abuot this person he seemed to come off cols and hash but there was somthing about him that made her feel comfortable with his decision

Raine's eyes widened as he ripped his shirt and wrapped it around her hands. She was tempted to touch his face but her hands were still bloody so she resisted the urge "I have a feeling he won't hurt her, but she still doesn't have to be such an a**" she whispered back "Not that I see what is special about him being the duke, he's just like any of us, just with a title." she said with a tiny shrug, her voice still quiet

Raine put her bandaged hand on Osiris's shoulder and stepped in front of him "Title, power, you're still human and I have NO respect for those who abuse power." she stood tall in front of him, even though she only came to his chin "You are just a child with a toy." her eyes met him squarely and evenly, holding her ground

Yurimi couldn't take all the commotion. She hated fighting and wanted to be nice to the young gentleman but she bolted. She ran away and she saw the old women had wanted to follow but couldn't. Yurimi just wanted to find a master for her. She wanted to be selfish. She'd been at the store for years and years and watched all her friends leave her but she was stuck. She cried as she ran into her room that she shared and just grabbed her plushy and hugged it as she ran outside and jumped into the tree. She hid up there as she cried into her plushy not wanting to be found. She coughed softly and shivered as a cool breeze ran over her bare arms and legs but she made no attempt to move from her spot.
