Sidious hadn't been expecting Maul to contact him until they reached the planet, he was not one who liked suprises. "A few weeks is too long Lord Maul, but I shall discuss the matter with you in person upon your arrival." His voice detected a hint of annoyance.

Anakin had found a bench like thing to rest on. He was tired, but as he tried to fall asleep he found that he couldn't. Whenever he closed his eyes he was haunted by images of the happenings of Naboo, and of his mother and Padme. He doubted sleep would come.

Sidious smirked as Maul closed the connection. It was good that Maul still had no doubts in his mind who was the Master and who was the Apprentice. And this was probably only going to require more reinforcements as Maul began training Anakin. To others, this might seem like suicide. Training more than one Sith, it was only going to get him killed. But he had everything under control. Everything was going according to plan.

Anakin nodded and watched Maul, helping him where he could, learning. Maul was teaching him the things he was going to need in the future. Plus it involved ships, ships he could handle. Lightsabers...well, looking at the state of his brown robes charred with black burn marks, that weapon still needed work.

Anakin nodded and followed Darth Maul silently. He hadn't spoken much after they had landed.

Darth Sidious, after receiving Maul's message, finished up his business. Only moments after his guests left did he feel the presence of Maul and Anakin on the planet. The Dark Lord smiled. Everything was going according to plan. He took a seat behind his desk in his senate office, there was no reason for him to change into the robes of Sidious.

As soon as Maul entered Sidious had nodded. He had been waiting a long time for this meeting. But the boy before him was not what he had expected. His clothes were burned, blaster bolts by the looks of things. Maul had been working with the boy on the way here. He looked at Maul, displeasure on his face.

Anakin got his first look of his Master and looked shocked. It was Senator Palpatine who stood before him, the Senator Palpatine who seemed so eager to finish the business on Naboo. At first Anakin didn't understand, and then he politely bowed to Sidious.

Sidious smiled again, and nodded back. "A pleasure to see you again young Skywalker." He turned to Maul. "Lord Maul, will you leave young Anakin and me for a moment? I shall speak to you in my private meditation chambers."

Sidious waited until Maul was long gone before finally addressing the boy. "Anakin, as you have already been told the Jedi will not train you. I discussed this matter with them personally, fought for you to join them. But still Master Yoda denied you. He said you were weak. So I have taken it upon myself to train you, along with my second apprentice, Lord Maul."

Anakin spoke. "But Master Yoda told Master Qui-Gon that having two apprentices was forbidden..how..."

A surge of anger emitted from Sidious at the mention of Qui-Gon, a surge that even Maul could have felt. But on the outside he seemed rather calm. "Young Skywalker, you have much to learn about our ways, and you will learn in time. But I request that in my presence you never mention those Jedi again." The last comment held a sting that made Anakin cringed but he nodded. Sidious noted this and changed his tactics. "Come with me Anakin." The Dark Lord led Anakin down a hallway and into a seperate room where there was a table, a chair, a hot meal and a comfortable bed. "You shall spend the night here, you're meal has been prepared by the finest cooks in the galaxy. If you need anything press that button and a droid will be here to assist you.

"Sir...I mean...Master...Thank you."

Sidious nodded and left the room. Then he entered the room where Maul was to be waiting.

Sidious looked at Maul. "I trust the mission on Naboo was successful. I hope to have no more problems with either Qui-Gon Ginn or Obi-Wan Kenobi" His lip turned up into the sneer. That happened when he mentioned the Jedi. His hate for the Jedi was pure, and he didn't bother hiding it. "Now tell me about the boy..."

Sidious smiled and nodded his head. Everything Maul had just said he had expected him to say. "Very good my Apprentice. I shall put you in charge of this boys training..." Normally Sidious would have taken the training on himself, but Anakin came at a very difficult time. The Senate was between leaders, he had things to attend to.

Anakin waited until Sidious had left before sitting down at the small table. As soon as the smell of the food hit him he realized he was quite hungry. So he began to eat the meal slowly, savouring each bite, thinking about what his Master's had told him today.
