She looked down and nodded before slowly backing out of the room. Once she was clear, she tried to fight down the bile that rouse in her throat and once she succeeded, started to boil some water for tea in case Alex wanted any once he was done, and of course, for her mistress once she got back.
'I wonder what he does to get such wounds.'

 As soon as Alice had gotten the okay from Alex, she left for outside. It was a plain day, everyone seemed to have taken to staying in the cooler airs of inside buildings while only animals and those she dared to call looney roamed the streets.
She paid no mind to anyone who called out to her simply as "miss" or "lady", she had been asking for people to use her first name, as she was a citizen of this town as they were. She continued walking towards the building that the doctor would use most often just for makeshift surgeries; her mind was on its guard, but with each step, it began to drift to different thoughts until it had finally lowered its guard.

"Okay," she called back, "Would you like anything to drink?"
She was moving around the kitchen with ease as she pulled out everything she would need, but she stopped by the liquor cabinet.
'I wonder if he would like anything from here... he doesn't seem like a tea man.' she thought to herself, but she figured she'd ask him instead.

"I'll be fine" Alex repeated. "I've got some water anyways. I've survived this long in my line of work, little lady. I'll survive this" Alex added.

"Right," she said with a sigh, watching as the water boiled, not knowing when her mistress would be home, "And now... I feel useless."
She sighs and leans against the wall, not caring about her posture.

"You can help me out by digging the arrowhead buried in my thigh out" Alex commented. "If you want to, anyways" Alex added, smirking a little, finally finishing sewing his larger wounds closed.

It took a small while for Alanis to come back in the room. She was carrying a bowl of water and a cloth in it.
"Alright," she said calmly, "Um... what happened if I may ask?"
She tried not to come off as meek and simple, but she couldn't help but blush a bit.

She was silent as she went about her work, trying her best not to hurt him any more than she had to.
"Right... that's obvious enough," she murmured, picking up the towel and dabbing away some of the blood once she got the arrow head out.
"Can I have the needle and thread please?" she asks.

She nods and sets to work, keeping her hand steady and occasionally dabbing at the wound. Once she was done, she cleaned everything up and stood.
"Would you like any bandages or do you have some?" she asks.
