Wrasynth Ksyamen Gera, I'd welcome the opportunity to humble you, especially considering your big plan is to pray for a deus ex machina. You're weak for handing your destiny and the destiny of others off to someone nobody really trusts. This absolutely naive behavior is what people have in mind when people think of the saying, "The path to hell is paved with good intentions." Then again if I do stop you, you might not end up in hell. Then again I don't see how we'd have a use for a toaster spark like you. I'm not handing my destiny completely to Jack-sama, nor anybody else's. Everybody has their part. My part is off the battlefield. I realize that I am what I am....and I'm certainly not a "toaster spark", as you put it. I may not be the smartest person in all of Gaia, but I'm definately not brain-dead. You're too cocky and quick to judge me, Ksyamen-san. Those factors could very well be your downfall in the future. There's more to me than you believe....

No, no I wouldn't be very surprised by you. I've been surprised by things before, mostly from my own arrogance. It even did get me killed once, but companions rescued me from my own success. How ever, I think you're more arrogant than you're aware, I think I'm less arrogant than you think as well. Either way you're far too emotional to be making logical decisions, and it's costing lives. That's a sin of pride if I ever saw it. You think you know what your decisions are costing people. You know nothing of demons except in name, never having witnessed them in deed.
My heart is a black void of compassion or empathy. Yet I simply hate demons, but I can see logically where your actions are unwittingly taking you. You know? I once saw a saint go to hell. She took money for medicine to save sick and dieing children, then bought them all bibles. Do you really think she sits in heaven with her god now? Killing people via ignorance is just as much of a sin. I think it bothers me that you might go to the abyss rather than the infernal planes based on your trespass against humanity. That's most likely what's bothering me, or that you could be firing a gun, or swinging a sword, or caring for the wounded.
Instead of talking.
Maybe it even bothers me that I'm unwittingly helping to defend you when you do nothing for your self. I think that might be the thing that offends my good Vasharan sensibilities the most.

Back off, Wras. She's doing her part best she can. Keeping foolhearty, overeager, dumbass rookies out of the path of destruction is more important than you're letting on. I've been cleaning this s**t up left and right since these cultist pricks showed up and dammit if there's a group out there showing an alternate path to those ignorant sons of bitches, then I'm glad as hell it's out there. The girl's a pacifist and shouldn't ever be forced to take up arms and sacrifice what she holds dear. That's what the Guard is for. I help keep people safe physically, she helps guard integrity of life. It's her choice.
Besides, you're neglecting the fact that she's dedicated her career to medicine. Fill the world with warriors and all you get is war, and as a result, death. We could use a few more kind souls here and there.

I may not be fit to be a leader, but I do what I know how to do....and I do it to the best of my ability. It's true, that I'm over-emotional. It's a blessing and a curse. A short-coming and a strength. But, to really live, you must use what the Great Admins have given you. They gave us all the power to feel for a good reason, for what is life to you if you feel nothing? No joy, no sorrow, no anger or fear....It would be a waste! You'd never know what you like or dislike, what you fear and what you love! You'd be an eternally blank canvas without emotions! A waste of space and a life! It's true, that I'm stubborn. Also a mixed bestowment. Though, I need such persistance in order to move on. If I hadn't perservered in my attempts to stop Ribateau-kun's plans of revenge against humanity, then where would we be now? Enslaved? Dead? Something worse than death? It's true, that I have much to learn....but isn't that one of the joys of being alive? All living beings continue to learn, even in death. No matter how old we get or how much we learn, the mountain of knowledge will never seem to shrink....

Hayley
Actually one of the things I did mention was the fact that she could care for the wounded. If I understood your blasted technology better I'd play a recording of it over and over for you. So I'll thank you not to lecture me on administration when you have trouble keeping your "rookies" off the front line. Then again some cultures see that as the process in which, "cherries are popped". That's not my concern either way, neither is it yours, that's the administration of BOO. Which Gera is clearly not apart of, nor do I think she's qualified for. That's why there are non combat duties like medic, engineer, and even cooks. I personally think everyone should be prepared to defend themselves in some fashion either way. The fact that you have rookies so ill prepared says very little about your culture.
Gera
In your world's history I believe it was Sweden Hitler dared not to invade, or was it Switzerland? Still every last man in child when they come of age must go to mandatory boot camp. After completion everyone is issued weapons they must maintain, these are automatic firearms and mortar artillery weapons. Hitler with his mighty war machine was afraid to fight the tiny nation because they were prepared, not only prepared, but every last man, woman, and possibly child was prepared to defend themselves. Every back yard had a possible sniper or mortar barrage prepared. True victory is achieved like this, by winning a battle before a single blow even lands. Not only that the crime rates were astonishingly low as everyone was capable of defending themselves. No one willing to rob, mug, threaten, or even rape when the threat of finding several people armed with automatic rifles was at hand.
Now as for Ash.
Ash this is the third time you've irked me with your childish antics. I don't think I'm going to waste time pointing out how you're inadequate simple dimwitted behavior is nothing but annoying and exposes you as a moron every time. If you keep this up I'm going to kill you in a formal challenge. I'm not kidding, I really want to kill you. I have to exorcise self control every time you come around and pretend that you're clever. You're not by the way. You're not clever at all. In fact you're so not clever it's actually disheartening to see you try. So much that I feel like people would look down on me for picking on you and pointing out that you are in fact inadequate. But you just keep pushing me until I have to be mean like this to get the point across.
I'm going to kill you if you don't stop. I really dislike you as a person. You're very offensive with your ignorance. I don't even dislike Gera, I just think she's naive and prideful but she genuinely wants to help man kind. Hayley is discovering that she was an indoctrinated tool and is starting to have an identity crisis over her new found heritage being forced to see herself as something other than a soldier (tool). I don't know enough about the others to really say. Ra is kind of chaotic, ironically Ra doesn't have witches. He has priests and priestesses so I don't know where she's going with the whole Ra thing as a witch. But you ash, are simple and annoying. You're also the only one that really doesn't fit into a slot or a plan, I think that's the other reason I desire to remove you.
*Shrugs.* Seriously the more I think about it the more I'm convinced I really should just kill you or remove you from the picture.

Tch... the whole reason I mentioned Gera's function as a medic was because of that particular line. You don't know her, you don't know me, and honestly, I'd prefer to keep it that way, newcomer. I've been a soldier my entire damned life and hell, even I know not everyone is fit for this life, nor should they be forced into it. I don't know much about this.... infernal and spirit crap, but I think it's pretty clear that you need to start keeping yourself in check before I'm forced to take action.
You accuse me of having been a tool for so long yet you wish for me to impose this on others to keep them "safe". I refuse to imprison my people by limiting their lives to the ones I choose for them and the actions I force them to take. The Aekean people can defend themselves just fine. They're just... utterly disorganized. That's why I'm over from Barton, and that's why I need to stop this craziness before the city tears itself apart. Any other mortal faction would be mad to attack us, and they know this full well, but demons don't fear potential prowess, and these cults are manipulating us from inside... a concept I'm starting to think you're a little too familiar with, Mr. Kysamen.
More importantly, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop handing out death threats like official mandates. I don't know who you think you are, but you're not the one qualified to pass judgment on my people. You think you're untouchable. I'm fairly certain you are not. I have no tolerance for your "formal challenges". Fall in line, soldier, or you'll see how much damage my rookies can do when they're united in their cause.

I heard about this ruckus when I was channel surfing. You get bored in the hospital. Channel 9 certainly knows how to cover a story. I decided to join B.O.O for two reasons. The Sentinel makes me uncomfortable, must be the tight fitting jumpsuit and freaky eyes, not saying a clam shell isn't strange. Two, the Overseer has always been kind to me, Booty Grabbing with him allowed me to start investing in the Market. I do, however, believe the reason we're fighting is quite silly, over a worm? My sense of duty and the need to help overwhelms me to choose a side rather than stay on the sidelines.
After getting out of the hospital, I walked to the nearest B.O.O. Camp. Feeling a bit crappy, because I was breaking my promise to Derek. I told I wouldn't participate in the event. He worries too much about me, for someone who just met me. Besides I'm just working the Overseer's kitchen, feeding the cavalry. That demigod has some strange recipes I tell you!

Oi, about the witch part. There's a reason why I was given that title instead of the usual priestess one. But shall not disclose it here unless there is art to be done with it. Part of it is already in the Fragmented Memories and Parents thread. Oh yeah, final part of Black joining S.I.N.

I was told a million times of all the people in my way wow really? I must not be annoying enough if this is only the third time I've irked you. Oh well, if it makes you feel any better, I'll "declare a formal challenge" and call you out. Here's my terms: you win, I'm pretty much slag on the asphalt. I win, you have to come with me to enjoy the spectator sport known as Nascar. It's a magical event where we view a simpler folk get together and cheer for drivers who go as fast as possible while competitively turning left in a big a** oval, 200 times. Nothing in the crowd but big gulps mounted on hats and worn out football jerseys as far as the eye can see. If you're lucky we might even be able to get the attention of the girls that shoot compacted Tee shirts like RPGs. how I had to keep on trying and get better ev'ry day

Hey hey! I may not be around much, but what the ******** is going on? Who thought they could start issuing formal challenges without speaking to me? -glances at Ash and Wrasynth with an arched brow (because for once I have eyebrows!)-
Note to self: Promote Hayley again.
I don't care on a personal level why people chose either side. I was curious but never thought to judge. So don't try to alter my intentions.
Formal challenges do HAVE to be formal. As in, there are rules. Which you talk to me about.
