Sora sighed, wasn't quite the response he had wanted, or was expecting, anyway. Sora brushed himself off and looked towards Ryo. "Well, we best be off then. Ryo, did you get what you wanted?" Ryo shrugged in reply, and began walking out the door. "Come on, I wish you'd talk a bit more than that!" He shouted, following Ryo out the door, and towards their house. Once they were out of ear shot and field of vision, Sora whispered to his brother. "Anything of interest?"Ryo nodded in response to his brothers question. "It's a start. I'm staying up late tonight to read this entire thing. If all goes as I think it will, we'll be one very small step closer to being our own person." Ryo opened the book, and pulled out a pencil, underlining relevant theories, ideas, and sometimes, opinions. "However, this weekend, I'll need another book to look at for more research. Damned humans and their lack of Soul research..." He muttered the last part to himself, so only his ears could catch it.As they reached home, Sora plopped himself down and picked up a game controller, while Ryo went and locked himself in his room to read the book they purchased.

Finishing her task Hikari then made her way to the kitchen, bandages around her leg and a few on her hands. She didn't mind them, since they weren't bad. Taking a pan and filling it three-fourths full of water she set the oven temperature so that the water can boil. Waiting for the water she was able to get everything else she needed out, noodles, pasta sauce, tomatoes, pepper, what she needed for a simple dinner. Leaning back on the counter as she gazed as her wounds she wondered how the brothers did, since she quickly followed the orders of the store owner to leave the place. Finding her school directory she flipped the pages until she found Sora and Riku's number. Taking the phone and dialing their number she sighed, crossing one arm as she looked to the pot and listened to the ringing buzz on her end of the line.

Ryo had found his way into his rooms desk, and had papers scattered every which way with random scribbles, formula's, school work, and what not. Sad thing was, ninety percent of those papers weren't his, but his brothers assignments that never quite got passed the half-way mark of completion. All that was Ryo's was a neatly organized notebook, and the book he just got from that store. And right as he began, the phone began to ring. Knowing that Sora would probably get it, he ignored it for the first two rings. On the third, he shouted, "Are you going to get the damn phone, Sora?"Sora, just like Ryo, thought that his brother would get the phone, and he too, ignored it. However, when Ryo shouted at him, Sora bolted up and ran for the only phone they owned. He ran so fast he slipped on the wood floor. In the end, Sora made it just as the final ring ended, and hit the 'talk' button. "Hullo?" He answered.

"Hi, this is Hikari, is Sora there?" She said into the phone, seeing the water approach to a boil. She wasn't sure if it was either Ryo or Sora who had picked up the phone, or if it was someone else at their place. So, just asking was polite. Opening the box of noodles she began to take the stalks in her hands, tucking the phone between her shoulder and ear so that she could break the stalks in half so that they fit in the pot. Hurrying now she broke all of the stalks in the box and used a long wooden fork to mix the noodles, so that they won't stick in the pot.

Sora's eyes widened a bit in surprise. How the hell did she get their number? He didn't know hers, at least, he didn't think he did... surprising him even more was the fact she specifically asked for him. "Yeah, this is Sora," He heard a loud noise from the T.V and a very familiar 'Game Over' eminated from the speakers. "and I forgot to save..." He mumbled, then raised his voice back up. "Anyway, what's up, Hikari?" He asked, making his way into the kitchen and began looking in the cabinets for anything edible.

“Oh, just wondering if you and Ryo made it out of the store okay. “ Hikari said nervously, realizing how she had not even said goodbye before leaving. It seemed sort of rude, and she hoped that she didn’t leave that sort of impression. “Also, just wondering…did you feel a ripple of pain after the vase broke?” By asking that question Hikari hoped that Sora wouldn’t think she was weird by any chance. She quickly held the phone and placed it on speakerphone so that both of her hands were free. Taking a single noodle she bit the end, tasting and looking at it to see if the noodles were cooked yet or not.

Sora ended up leaving the kitchen, as most of the stuff they had wasn't edible (at least, not anymore.) So, Sora sat back down on the couch, and began regaining his progress on the game. "Yeah... that was wierd, huh?" Sora said, in all honesty, he knew that what happened might've been a God's doing... but, he couldn't be sure. He'd been wrong about it before, so he wasn't going to make assumptions this time. "Oh, and we made it home just fine. What about you? You almost ran out the door after that manager guy went off on me." He laughed the last part out so she would (hopefully) see that he was joking.

Loki jumped at the sound of a man's voice, and he chuckled as he was pulled up onto the roof. He looked at the man with mock surprise, smiling all the while. Looking up at the man, Loki noted his aura. "Hello brother, lovely day for a game of whose who, wouldn't you say?" Loki asked, his voice hinting at his dismay of being discovered. He pulled away from the man, and stood to face him. Never one to be good with peoples limits, he was a lot closer than he imagined his brother was comfortable with. Their noses almost touched.
"You know, Thor is really looking forward to locating you lot. And now I can explain how your all alive and well, and he can rest his pretty little head. By the way, I love what you've done with your body. You look yummy!" He giggled as he watched the white haired man, taking a step backwards towards the ledge. He didn't want his escape route to be blocked. All the while Loki was taking notes on any and all details about the location and identities of the large party. He would need all the information possible when he sent Thor his report, and then maybe he'd be allowed a few more centuries of fun.

"Yeah, I got home fine. Got home before mom, so it's all good." She replied, finding a strainer in a kitchen cabinet and placing it in the sink. "Just making some spaghetti for dinner. What are you doing?" Hikari asked loud enough for him to hear since the phone was on speakerphone. She could guess that it had something to do with the T.V., hearing the background noise.Taking the pot and placing it over the sink she slowly but surely poured the noodles into the strainer, pasta sauce already on the oven. After straining the noodles she added olive oil and pepper to it, mixing the noodles so that all that was needed was the sauce.

"Cooking, huh? Wish we had something to eat." He replied, reaching a save point, and turning his game off. Looking over at a clock, he noticed the time was still kind of early, and he really wanted something to do. That's when he got an idea. "Hey, Hikari... mind if I go over there and steal some of your spaghetti, then afterwards, I dunno, go see whats around town? Ryo's being Ryo and locked himself inside his room... and I'm about to cry from boredom here." He then added on in a joking tone. "I'll even do tricks!"

Hearing his first words Hikari frowned a bit. They had nothing to eat? She felt a little bad as she mixed the sauce she was finishing. However, she was happy that he had asked. After all, it would have been weird if she asked him over so that he and Ryo could have some food. Turning off the oven she put her apron away, and then thought about his second question. She knew her mom wouldn't mind if she was gone, just as long as she gave her some notice beforehand. Anyway, she didn't have anything else to do tonight. "Yeah, sure. You could bring Ryo, too, if he wants to come." Hikari finished preparing, now ready to mix the sauce and spaghetti to finish it off.

Sora shrugged, and tilted the phone away from himself, and shouted. "Hey, Ryo! You want to go over to Hikari's for dinner?" After he said that, Sora went over and picked up his cellphone, and slid into his shoes. "Well, if he doesn't show up, he'll probably find something for himself here." Sora was about to say his good-bye's when he realized he had no idea where Hikari's house was. "Oh, wait... I have no idea where you live. Address please?"Ryo was no fool, and as such, would never pass up the oppurtunity to go and have a meal at someone elses house. After all, what he and his brother managed to create was one of three things. Barely edible, a biohazard, or an explosion. With those kinds of odds, they generally ate packaged foods... and those have begun to lose taste, especially the hotpockets. Quickly closing his notebook, Ryo jogged down the steps, shoes already on.

"Oh, right..." Hikari then gave Sora her address, the noticed something was missing. "Oh, shoot, I forgot..." She muttered, then looked at the time. They couldn't possibly be living too far away from her, right? "Um, you don't mind if there is no meatballs, do you?" She asked, finding some in the freezer. Suddenly her cell phone went off with a text message from her mother saying that she will be picking up her father early, since he was due back from his business trip early.

Sora laughed a bit. "We're getting free food. Like we'd complain if something was missing. If you've seen the stuff we eat, then missing meatballs aren't going to kill us... unlike our last attempt at cooking." When Ryo appeared and disappeared out the door, Sora decided they'd probably end the conversation. "Anyway, Ryo just bolted out the door. So, we'll be over their shortly. Oh, and who knew we lived on the same street? Be there in about... two minutes. Later." Clicking the phone off, he tossed it on the couch and ran after Ryo.As Ryo ran out the door, only a few things were on his mind. Soul Splitting, and food. For the first time in since they became humans, food took a priority over turning Ryo and Sora back into Takis/ becoming their own person. No matter what it was Hikari made, nothing could be worse than whatever they had in their home. Ryo was pretty sure half of the stuff they had couldn't even be considered food.

"Okay, see you soon, then." Hikari said before putting down the phone. Setting up the table for three quickly and placing the spaghetti out she couldn't help but smile. The two of them were characters, all right. Taking her phone she texted her mother back, telling her that she was having friends over for dinner then going out. Getting parental approval she made sure she was presentable before walking to the door, waiting for their arrival.
