Damian placed the jewel on the column. "Even if it isn't a bomb, Drade. Nevertheless we don't know where the magic goes. I'm capable of seeing into the ethereal band," Damian said as he gestured towards his violet eye," yet it doesn't register a blip. It doesn't even radiate the same ethereal energy most inanimate objects do."
Damian stepped back as a precaution before the scanners could start. He shook his head side to side before he stated," The worse part is, I suspect it is truly inviolable."

The scanners began to scan the gem. "Even more of a reason to believe it isn't a bomb. I'm hoping at most for it to be a training gem, working in the same way for mages as training weights would work for a warrior. If there's no location where it may be going, it may be going to a similar gem that expels energy, or worse, another mage who's just absorbing your own power." He noticed Daen's studying of it. "What do you think it could be?"
