Well, not Mu's... for reasons. *cough*
Not Flay's... it ended somewhat happily, so I didn't think of it as that tragic.
Aisha? Not really that either...
Not Natarle's either.
So... answer: Nicol. Athrun crying after really added some punch to it.

Too true... especially when you see how little Athrun cries - well, at least in comparison to Kira. Seriously, when DOES he cry? Did he cry when dear old dad died? Ho hum...

Actually he did...in fact I think that's the first time we ever see Athrun cry. Gash, that guy is like stone. Oops nevermind...you just said he cried when Nicol died....okay that makes this the second time he's cried. But I don't recall him ever crying in Destiny. In fact, all the crying went to Cagalli. Man, they really screwed up all the personalities in that show.

No offence to Kira fans, but I swear, that guy went personality-free... or drained. I liked him better in Seed.

Aw...sliced in half...bad image. I don't know. I still don't think Nicol's death was all that tragic because I was mostly confused when it happened.

I know that. But at that time I was confused. I was like 'what just happened?' In fact, I don't think I knew Nicol all too well at that point. I think I learned more about him after he died. I didn't watch too much of the beginning of SEED. But I did almost cry when Tolle died...but it might have been because we all thought Kira was dead as well.

Kalaeris No offence to Kira fans, but I swear, that guy went personality-free... or drained. I liked him better in Seed. Yeah for like the first couple episodes of Destiny, he sat there and looked at the ocean all day. He was really boring

Agreed.
And even after he came back, he didn't act like that Kira we knew that much... I don't believe he could have changed THAT much over two years.

Kalaeris Agreed.
And even after he came back, he didn't act like that Kira we knew that much... I don't believe he could have changed THAT much over two years. I really don't see what could have made him so soft-spoken in those two years. I mean he lives in a house full of orphanage kids.

I'd actually expect him to be more cheerful and all. I mean, what do the kids think of him? How do they play with such a quiet guy?

I sure hope Lacus wasn't the one running around with the children. Did she even sing to them? It seems as if she gave up on singing in entirety. That really seemed like something she loved to do. This is sad...*running a list of characterization errors in GSD*
