Oh, I'm sorry. Was I being DIFFICULT when I said it was a high-level campaign? You know, High-level chars are EASIER to learn with. The lower your level, the harder it is to fight regular monsters. By the way, KOBOLDS? WIMPY! Three Greater Barghests against one me, no party? Almost even, my favor. No Kidding. My dad actually ran that with my character, and I won. Okay, I was 17th level then, but you'll be there in 2+ level-ups! So, seriously, if you think I'm gonna (I know, grammar freak) give you piddly monsters, think again. One thing I WON"T throw at you, though, is a beholder. Those THINGS are freakishly wicked. The bad kind of wicked.
Next game is Friday, Sept. 25th, 6:00 my time (time zones discussed previously). If you can't make it, tell me.

i will be able to make it, and you weren't being difficult, it's just that we are not used to starting at a higher level. that's not a bad thing, if anything it's good because we are broadening our horizons somewhat.

I rolled up a Female Wood Elf Druid 15, Allorana. She may be played by one of my guy friends from school, or by me. She won't be in until at LEAST after your first fight, so don't expect to know her right off. I'm watching this forum. twisted Watch out.

Since I'm now thinking about it, what are your stat rolling rules?

*Rolls for strength stat*
I get a ____18_______
That is a stat rolling rule, roll 4d6, or 1d20, or 4d6, or 6d6....... he is asking what to roll for stats.
Hmmm, I rolled well, and 18.

Since this is a high level campaign, might I suggest rolling 5d6 for each stat? Drop the lowest two.

Ummm... Right, sure, good idea. While she was frozen somebody drilled a hole in the ice and her mouth was open and they fed her so she was somewhat alive. SO THERE!

Different suggestion,(this is what I'm used to, and it works fairly well too.
Roll 2 sets of stats Roll 4d6 Reroll 1's and 2's Drop the lowest die roll Pick the set you want

1: The ice wouldn't melt normally or with semi-powerful magics.
2: Who fed her.
3: Still the matter of the rest of her being about one hundred and fifty or so below zero.
4: Wouldn't it just be simpler to resurrect her?
